My husband and I stayed at a suite on Clifton for 4 nights last month and we were extremely surprise when we walked in. The suite wasn’t very spacious but it was pretty comfortable, it had a mini bar, a hair dryer and a cool flat TV; great location close to everything and a very helpful staff. 1400 Ocean Dr
First, the good things about the hotel: It's at the very end of Ocean Dr on South Beach but still close enough to the the action of the night life of South Beach. It took only a couple of minutes walk to where all the bars, nightclubs and resturants were located. The beds are soft as are the pillows. There is a small computer room with 3 computers with high speed internet access and but spotty wireless across the hotel. For the days we used room service, the room was thoroughly cleaned. It's also literally across the street from the beach. Simply walk across the park and the beach is right there.\r \r The mediocre: I was traveling with 2 other friends and their room with two full sized beds were a little cramped. There was barely enough room for all our luggage and a lot of times, we were stumbling over ourselves when walking around in the room. The room that I got (ground level - room 107), the window faced out into the back of Devito's resturant. Needless to say, we had our window and blinds closed the entire time we stayed there. We were far away enough from the resturant and the construction that we didn't hear any of the noise. Breakfast is some simple bagels with some cereal and coffee or orange juice with some danishes.\r \r The bad: The back of the refridgerator looked like an electrician's nightmare. There were wires for the two lamps, the radio, and the fridge all tangled up plugged into an powerstrip. There was a piece of the wooden floor loose and broken off right under the fridge.\r \r The shower only had a half-glass covering meaning that a lot of the water spilled out onto the rest of the bathroom - a couple of times flooding the bathroom if we weren't careful. This was a big problem because one day, we came home after a day out and we say that the ceiling was leaking a little bit into our bathroom. It turns out that the room above ours had the same problem with the floor being flooded and it leaked into our bathroom.\r \r For the entire 6 days we were there, the neon ""Century"" sign in front of the hotel was not lit in it's entirety. In fact, after the second day we were there, the sign wasn't lit at all.\r \r Parking is also a big issue. It's only street parking. We never really had a huge problem finding parking. Every spot we found was within a block or so of the hotel. Several nights, we parked at the parking lot at Nikki Beach, paying them a fee to park overnight. But he had to get up every day early to feed the meter.\r \r One last point: the hotel has a dog on it's premises. It's a medium-sized dog that is extremely docile and friendly. I never heard it bark or cause any problems. I just wanted to point this out in case one is allergic to dogs.\r \r The Century might be a staple of South Beach but it simply is just an older hotel. If it took some steps to modernize, it might be a really chic and trendy hotel. But as it stands, it might be a little past it's prime. We didn't have any major problems and the staff was friendly enough but we'll probably stay someplace else next time.

I had to travel for business to Miami but I also wanted to take my wife for a mini vacation. Majestic offered free Wi-Fi (it worked fine) which is a plus because I have to be connect most of the time. Although we didn’t have a lot of time to enjoy the crazy night life of South Beach we found time to have couple of drinks and just enjoyed ourselves people watching. Our room was spacious and clean; very comfortable bed and pillows. We want to stay again in Majestic for our REAL vacation!

I was looking for a nice place to take my girl for a relax week only the two of us. We wanted to visit South Beach but we didn’t like the overpriced part. The location of Carlton Hotel was flawless, walking distance to the beach and near to many restaurants and cafes; Collins Ave is a really cool location. Our room was top-notch; comfy and cozy bed, everything was clean from the lobby area to the carpet and the windows of the room. We would love to stay here again!

Looking for a hotel in South Beach was a hard job for me since i did not see this hotel in the first position. I wasted some time trying to see which one was perfect for me and ideal for my parents who are pretty demanding. But the good aspect about this is that when i got information about this hotel, we got convinced that that was what we wanted! We stayed and we did not regret it at all!

We stayed at the Dorchester last weekend, we were impressed by the great style and design this building offers, great facilities, a wonderful location, we could't have imagined a better way to experience the ocean drive in trendy south beach. This is the coolest place I have ever been to! If you're looking for a generic every day hotel then do not stay here. However if you enjoy funky decor and hip people you must check it out. I picked the hotel mainly because of the location and given what I paid I was not expecting having as great an experience as I had. Rooms were super cute and always tidy and the staff here really goes above and beyond. I felt like we were all friends by the time I checked out. I can't wait to go back!
100 Collins Ave
Before me and some friends made the trip to SoBe we/I investigated a ton of hotels and the b-day girl decided to pick this one. Honestly.. I was very nervous.. I had read some reviews for The Mercury and none of them were good. Actually, almost every review I read about restaurants, hotels and bars/clubs were bad. Let me tell you... The Mercury Resort was a great place to stay for long weekend with girlfriends. We stayed in Penthouse 3 and it ROCKED! The spa on the terrace was great for a late night soaking after a night of living it up in SoBe or enjoyed before getting ready to go out. I would highly recommend this place. If you are coming to SoBe for some club action the Opium Garden is right next door, and if your not in to the club scene there are small bars right within walking distance. For a great dinner also try Barton G.\r \r Thanks Mercury!

Perfecy hotel for pre/post production. Quiet, low key. Staff is extremely discreet. You can ""hide away"" here, without being bothered, Service is 5 star. Guests are truly given privacy. The pool is nothing short of spectacular. No wonder it's been used for so many shoots. Lots od NYC/LA industry types casually sunning on pool deck. Great place to have great dreams!

**Quinns **Best Food, Service, Ambience, Mojitos, Staff and Owner Quinns is delightful in every way. We go there at least 2x each stay in Miami. Last time, we got to spend some extra time with the very hospitable owner (adding an extra special touch to our evening). Truly extraordinary each and every time - we love the food, service, ambience, MOJITOS and the very friendly and classy environment. Note to owner: We'll see you soon! Sorry we couldn't come back the second time as promised (that was the night of a very powerful storm. NanaRose from Bklyn says hi!) Pros: Best Food, Service, Ambience, Mojitos, Staff and Owner

This is a cool hotel, that is super trendy, but affordable for almost anyone. We loved the manager. She was so sweet, and made a stay so welcoming. We loved having drinks at the bar, and watching the football games on the big screen TV in the lobby. It was a really great atmosphere and we indulged on the white couches with orange and green pillows. Breakfast was great too, and since it was free we were able to spend more in the banana republic right on the corner. Also make sure to check out the great art stores in the area. We found amazing souvenirs to take home with us.

Great place to stay for miami club and beach trips. EXCELLENT location and laid back staff make enjoying the miami night life vere easy.
1757 Collins Ave
For Miami Beach standards this hotel was a very good deal. Probably can get a room for around 200 or less if you look. It is in a good area, nice clean rooms, pool was nice and good beach access. The breakfast was good, cooked by a friendly cook. Compared to other hotels this one was really nice. If you can afford a resort like the Delano or Satai than go there but if your looking for a good value this is probably the bst.
