I loved the location and the setting. It was beautiful and of course great hurricanes since they invented them. And good food.

It's busy and loud, but OMG - it's AWESOME!!! This place has the best Jambalaya I've ever had. \r \r We never experienced anything like what one of the previous posters said - the wait/serving staff were very nice, and they were pretty fast to get us seated. We did have a wait, but COME ON!!! It's NOLA! You're going to wait for good food! We only waited about 5-10 minutes to get in, and as soon as a seat cleared, they were cleaning it to get it ready for the next person.\r \r ALSO - the Margarita's have the MOST BANG for your buck! The taste is awesome, and they use LOTS of liquor. :)\r \r We will be going to go back there every time we're in town. \r

I am a recent graduate from Tulane and I have seen numerous shows in New Orleans at House of Blues, Tips and Howling Wolf but Twiropa is far and away the best venue to see a show. They have the most space and biggest bars of all the aforementioned venues and the sound quality is pristine.

Great memories at this old haunt. Old black man singing blues on the piano, famous place, dimly lit. I stop there everyi time I'm in NOLA.

Always travel there on business and stay next door at Hampton Inn. As a single girl, I feel safe there. Great owner pays attention to me dining/drinking wine alone. He has great suggestions and the place is quaint. Supposedly the building has been everything from a dress shop to a house of ill-repute. Love it!

Loved this place...great atmosphere and the tin walls and ceiling are remarkable. We don't have tin bottles in OH so another tourist moment. Love that the vibe was in flux...meaning that the bar staff is impressive at being in the moment and shape shifts to the moment....wished I had seen it raccous. Wish it was my neighborhood bar...sigh.

I come to NO at least twice a year and after being told by the ""Marys"" at the concierge desk of my hotel to go to Oz (which is across the street) I practically ran over to this place! Nice, friendly down to earth clientele and staff. Mixed crowd, not the snotty pretty boys of Oz....music is better and prices are cheaper!

Igor's is a great place to go and meet the locals and have a drink and something to eat. The food is so good and I have had about every thing they have. I did have a home right around the corner and I would meet my friends and get some drinks and food and do my laundry at the same time. I Love that Home..........

This is where they invented the 'hurricane' drink. Be careful though, it tastes like fruit punch but it'll creep up on you :P

My friend and I went to New Orleans to party for the weekend, we were both a first timer there. When we were asking people where to go at night everyone suggested ""metro"". We got there early around 10 after seeing all the people partying already on Burboun St. This was big mistake. They were not opened yet and we saw them setting up the place. they kept telling us in 10 minutes, so we ended up going to the hotel near by and hanged out alittle. We finally made it and there was a 10$ cover charge and boy it was worth it. Drinks' prices were average and the music was just amaizng. around 12 it got very packed but in a good way. Everyone was nicley dressed up and having fun with the great music played. \r \r

I suggest anyone interested in further reviews go to Yelp and read them there. I'm from NJ originally and have been eating this pizza since the place opened. Great pizza. Can't give a review on service, have only eaten in once at the bar. Tourists, remember, we are BELOW sea level. You can't make yeast rise the same. These folks have it down. Go....Eat.

Stopped in because the music sounded good and it was to hot to be outside . Great people watching in and outside the bar … Bartenders that were nuts in a good way … Cheers in New Orleans … Will return

On our first trip to New Orleans, we had heard many great things about this restaurant, and we were not let down at all. we highly recommend making reservations before you get there. We were there during the Garlic Festival. My whole meal including dessert had garlic in it. The whole meal was magical and very romantic.

We were visiting New Orleans and while taking a tour of the Garden District we asked our tour guide for a recommendation for a bar that might be showing the Gold Cup Final (yes, we are soccer fans). She told us about Three Legged Dog, so we called and they said that they would turn the match on for us when we got there. It was super close to our hotel. It is a dive but that is part of the charm!! The bartender was awesome!!! The food was great bar food and the ribs were amazing!!!!!! True to their word, they turned on the match and didn't even mind when we got a little rowdy while cheering for the U.S.!! After the match was over and we moved along our wonderful bartender, Drew, even joined us when he finished his shift!!! I would highly recommend Three Legged Dog to anyone looking for good ""bar food"", a totally laid-back atmosphere and almost NO tourists!!!!! Oh, and you can't beat 2 for 1 drinks!!!!
20.Kerry Irish Pub
331 Decatur St
My favorite local dive, where a proper pint of Guinness is poured like clockwork and local musicians play their hearts out. In the French Quarter, but miles away in spirit from the junk polluting bourbon street. Shame on you if you order a Bud Light.
21.Fritzel's Jazz Pub
733 Bourbon St

My wife and I go to Fritzel's whenever we are homesick for the Northeast. I grew up in New York, where Eddie Condon's jazz club was on Jazz Alley. It is intimate, fun, has great service and the music is authentic jazz. \r \r The tourists, however, spend more time pointing their digital cameras and blinding the musicians than they enjoy the music. I felt like yelling out, ""Go back to Iowa"".

I really scored when I randomly strolled in to Oz on a fabulous Saturday night!! I was in absolute Heaven when the first thing that caught my attention were the beautiful boys that gracefully strutted their stuff on top of the bar!!! Yes! This place is for people like me( A 50 year-old straight lady)! You will never be able to see more beautiful men than you do at Oz! And the best part about it is you never have to worry about unwarranted advances like you do in the straight clubs! Plenty of straight folks party here as well! But none of them will be a stunning as the precious gay men! We danced to the great club house music until the wee hours of the morning! The experience was well worth my hang-over the next morning!

We just moved out of the Irish Channel and the one thing we will miss most is Parasol's. Whenever we were hungry and didn't feel like cooking, we'd just walk down and get some po'boys. The best shrimp and roast beef. Great place to watch Saints games. We'll miss it. Our new neighborhood bar is Pal's Lounge. I hope it's as welcoming.

Each visit I make to New Orleans MUST include a stop at Molly's! I have taken many friends over the years there. In fact, my ex-husband stills raves over the place. Seems he agrees that our favorite part of each day of our honeymoon was our daily visit to Molly's. A couple of year's ago on a visit to N.O. I even ran into him there - we both still live in Illinois. It's worth at least one stop there during any visit to the Greater New Orleans area.

The prices are great..full of locals working professionals...this is definitely not a underAge drinking college bar anymore:) Everyone that works there is awesome and super friendly, all the bartenders are women, all of which are acctractive! The prices are some of the best in town. It is connected to the restaurant GBs, you can order food from there..the burgers and baked potatoes are awesome

Tucked off the beaten path, but well worth the find. A blend of traditional New Orleans music with creative innovations. Slammin' food.

We've been going to New Orleans for many years and just about every night we wind up at the Funky Pirate on Bourbon St. The staff, the music, and Al Carson and his band are so terrific and engaging you can't help but love it. When I've had a bad day at work, I put on my Big Al Carson CD, pour a glass of wine, close my eyes and melt back to New Orleans and the Funky Pirate.
