HonorHealth Scottsdale Shea Medical Center
I have been to this facility after a car accident and truthfully I wasn't impressed. They redeemed themselves yesterday when my son was injured Thursday night playing football for the school. He hurt his shoulder. Hoping it was just sore I took him in anyway to have it looked out. They were prompt, friendly and thorough with his exam and care. I couldn't have been happier with the care he received even AFTER I informed them I was uninsured they processed in a friendly and professional manner. Did numerous x-rays to confirm his shoulder was not dislocated from the collar bone that he tore a ligament in the AC joint. Besides the fantastic health care they gave my son they also informed me I was incorrect, our insurance was active an he was cover which was just the icing on the cake of a stressful situation becoming more tolerable. At least now I feel secure in knowing there is emergency room care available to my son and I if needed ... there's not a better feeling than that :)

I was very pleased with the care I received. The receptionist was friendly as were the nurses. Everyone working there seems very caring and makes you feel comfortable. Great selection of magazines while waiting. I was impressed with the room I was examined in. So clean and stylish. The nurse was lovely and then the doctor came in with a warm smile. He seems to really love what he does, has a great bedside manner and is really interested in his patients. Most important is that he is a good diagnostician and seems quite knowledgeable.

FastMed Urgent Care in Scottsdale on E. Shea Blvd.
I highly recommend this FastMed! I had a first dose observation done there for a new rx and was so pleased. The clinic is very clean and welcoming. The process went very efficiently and Tyler was very kind, friendly, professional and accommodating. Lisa was very knowledgeable, efficient and kind as well. This was a 6 hour observation and it seemed to go very quickly because of the great atmosphere!Even though I live in Gilbert, I would be happy to make the drive when I need their services again.

Cor Clinic
Dr. MIchael Branson is the best physical therapist around. The results I have gotten far surpass any other treatment I have had. I have had low back/disc problems for many years and after trying various other PT facilities I can absolutely say with confidence that you will be very happy with the services of Dr. Branson & the Cor Clinic team. He is an expert in his field & is very caring as well. Go to Cor Clinic FIRST, you will be glad you did!

I have been examined and diagnosed twice in the last 6 months by your staff. I am very impressed with the service received and medical treatment that I have received when visiting your clinic. Both times the service was prompt; the associates who took my vital information and the x-ray technician were helpful and pleasant.

Excellent staff, excellent care. My husband is a patient in the oncology unit. They have really gotten their act together. The facility is dated, but our experience is excellent.

Tips & Advices
This depends on the facility. Patients should call to find out if they'll need a referral from their physician prior to making an appointment.
Aside from hyperbaric oxygen treatment, most wound care centers offer:
  • Debridement: The removal of dead skin and tissue surrounding the wound. This can be done surgically, using a whirlpool bath, syringes, enzymes that dissolve the tissue, or wet dressings that dry on the wound and absorb the dead tissue.
  • Dressing: Wrapping the wound in a protective film, gauze, gel, or foam.
  • Compression stockings: Tight-fitted fabric sheaths that encourage blood flow.
  • Artificial skin: A covering that is applied to the wound for several days as it heals.
  • Ultrasound: The use of sound waves to promote healing.
  • Growth factor therapy: The use of materials naturally produced by the body to encourage quick cell growth.
  • Negative pressure therapy: Creating a vacuum around a wound to encourage faster blood flow to the area.
Depending on where the treatment is administered, hyperbaric oxygen treatment  can cost $100- $1,000. After insurance is applied, patients may have a copay of $10 -$50 or a coinsurance fee of 10 percent to 50 percent.
Most wounds should heal within two to six weeks. An individual should seek chronic wound treatment if a wound has not begun to heal after two weeks or is not completely healed after six.
Most health insurance plans cover wound care. Patients should check with the clinic and their health insurance provider before seeking treatment to be sure.
