Olde Savannah Garden
I don't usually write reviews but I felt that in this case, it was well deserved. I had always noticed how beautiful the roadside of this business was on my way to work but never had time to stop. On weekend, a few weeks ago, I did. As soon as I arrived, a staff member immediately approached me and started guiding me around the nursery. I had no idea the place was so big because there's another huge area for plants behind the house that you can't see from the road. After talking and finding out a wealth of knowledge from the worker, I also found out that they did installations. I set up a time to meet with one of the owners, Heather, for the following week. She arrived on time ( which was very important because I was on my lunch break) and I received an estimate the next day. From that point, I gave the deposit, scheduled a date to start, and received a beautiful installation. The plants well exceeded my expectation in quality and the St. Augustine sod they installation was delivered looked very fresh. I am extremely pleased with the new paver patio and fire pit that was installed. We've used it almost every night since. The only negative thing I could say about my experience was the amount of parking space available. They have a very small parking lot but I soon realized that all the side street parking was available also. Every time I stopped by the store, it was always packed with customers so sometimes, I had to wait to get in. I have already recommended "Olde Savannah Gardens" to my friends who they are also doing work for and will recommend them to anyone who needs garden help!

Olde Savannah Garden
Was driving by on the way to take my mother home a few days ago and she asked we could stop so we did. As soon as we pulled into the lot a young man came over to us and asked how we were doing and if there was anything he could help us with and my mother said she just wanted to look around. I got out and got my mothers cane out of the back seat and started to walk around to her door to help her out, but Kenny (the young man) already had her door open and was helping her out of the car! He walked around with us for about thirty minutes and answered everyone of my mothers questions. He even let my mother hold his arm the entire time we were there! As soon as she got out of the car he offered her his arm, walked at her pace, and he was genuinely interested in everything my mother had to say. It amazes me that there are still young people that show their elders respect and compassion. My mother was very pleased with him and asked if they could set up an estimate. Miss Heather came out to my mothers house and gave her a very good price on everything she wanted. Great people and a great business. My mother has already recommended them to all of her friends and neighbors.

I heard that had sod so I called up to order a couple of pallets to be delivered the next day and I would come in and pay for them that morning before they were delivered. Once my order was placed I made arrangements for about ten friends to come help lay it all down. The next morning I went in and they explained they hadn't ordered it because I was required to pay for it ahead of time, which no one told me nor did they make any attempts to call me to try to fix the situation. I was completely dumbfounded and embarrassed that all these people made arrangements to help me out and now I had to make embarrassing phone calls to reschedule. Once I reordered everything and paid, another customer came in behind me and announced she was there to pay for her tab that she owed. Haven't been back since. There's too many other local businesses to give my business to.

Luxe The Salon
I was in Savannah, visiting for the holidays and got caught in the rain, the day before Thanksgiving. Needless to say, since I needed a relaxer, my hair poofed up and was not cooperating with me. I did online research and found a few referrals, I reached out, one thing led to another and God sent me to Luxe. Kim answered the phone and was nice, and I went with her. When I got to the location; the ambiance was cool, Kim was great and she permed my hair with Mizani... (ordinarily, I would not get a perm with a new stylist, without referral, however, since I was going to be here for a while, I didn't want to run the risk of my hair puffing back up). She washed and styled, and it came out very pretty. I was totally happy at the end. Whenever I'm in Savannah, Kim is my go to for life! Please tell her Tomika from Atlanta sent you!

Cha Bella
Cha Bella is a beautiful restaurant right in Savannah. We chose Cha Bella for our wedding reception because in addition to having a nice size reception room inside they have a beautiful covered patio outside. We are foodies so Cha Bella’s farm to table concept of using only the freshest ingredients prepared daily at the restaurant really appealed to us. We dined there times prior to our wedding and the food was always outstanding. Candace, their event coordinator was very attentive and met all of our culinary needs. She was willing to meet several times and go over every detail to make sure our wedding was a success. The restaurant was decorated beautifully and the staff was very professional and friendly. We could not be happier about our wedding.Thank you Cha Bella for making our special day perfect!

Horst & Co Hair Salon
I went recently to have my first real haircut since coming to live in Savannah. I've been hunting for a salon. It was time to finally just bite the bullet and pick one. This one is very near my home. It was a wonderful surprise to call and have them get me in the next day. Pam did the best haircut I've had in many years. Her attention to detail and her professionalism were amazing. The staff are all lovely people, respectful and kind as I've come to expect here in Savannah. The services were more than reasonable for a top quality salon. I had my hair cut washed and styled for $48 dollars. I highly recommend Horst & Co. but, above that I recommend Pam she gave me superior service.

Sake Steak House
I live on the island and love that we have this wonderful establishment in our back yard! I enjoy stopping in for sushi rolls which are served with incredible presentation and fun! They have taught me how to order and enjoy and now I feel comfortable sitting at any sushi bar. My girls constantly ask for hibachi and now they have a take out option. The portions are extremely generous and are of high quality! We celebrate all our big birthday and celebrations around the big grill and it is the cleanest in Savannah by far! Plenty of room to breathe and move around! Beautiful atmosphere, new and extremely hands on management. I highly recommend this if you are hungry and want a $$$deal.

Colorboxx Hair Salon
Love does not even begin to describe how I feel about my new hair. After a tragedy with my "go-to" stylist I had to find a new one. Two years, several bad cuts and color jobs later I have found THE one! lol! Everyone is so laid back and Liz was great! She told me step by step what she was doing as she was doing it and held the perfect amount of conversation. You could tell she loves what she is doing and is very good at it. Thanks so much Liz and Color Boxx, you have a client for life! As an added note, I will say it is a little on the pricier side of high end salons. Just remember, you get what you pay for, Color Boxx and Liz are worth every single cent!

Sake Steak House
I love this restaurant, it's my favorite Japanese restaurant to eat at in savannah! The food is not greasy like every other hibachi grill I've eaten at. The atmosphere is very nice as well, the dining area is clean and very open, not like comparing hibachi grills in savannah that are dark and dirty. The food is great, they are very generous on portion size and you feel like you are getting a lot for your money. Everything on the menu is great, they have Japanese, Chinese, and Thai and it all tastes fabulous. I bring my family to eat here every time they come into town and they love it just as much as I do. I would recommend this place to anyone!
Tips & Advices
The main benefit of a patio cover is that it allows people (and pets) to be outdoors in a variety of different weather conditions. Patios provide cover from rain and direct sunshine. Certain types of patio cover also protect from cold and wind.
The build time for a patio cover varies according to the scope of the project, but experts always advise that getting permits from the city and approval from the homeowners association usually takes longer than the build itself. The time it takes for materials to be sourced and shipped can also affect the project duration. Weather can also cause unforeseen delays. The quickest length of time a covered patio might take to build once design and permits are handled is one to two  days, if professionals are doing it. The actual build process could take a few weeks with unforeseen delays, and if your builder is working on other projects at the same time.
A patio cover costs $600-800 for the simplest vinyl awnings, with an average cost of $,1400 for vinyl or simple lattice.  Wood patio covers cost more, and Alumawood, as the most durable yet attractive of coverings, is the most expensive--anywhere from $8,000-$15,000 including professional installation.
Adding an attached covered patio generally requires a building permit because you are modifying the roofline of your home. Detached patio covers do not always require a permit. Open patios (i.e. those with no cover) also do not always require a permit.
Attached patio covers are built onto the house and change the roofline of the house, whereas a detached patio cover is part of a freestanding structure. Some cities have requirements on the minimum distance a detached covered patio needs to be from the main house.
