Overall disappointing :( I wish I could say better about my experience. It just did not turn out to be what I had seen online. Hopefully can get my cabinets re-done in the future from another company.

When I started talking to Trey about having him build me the kitchen of my dreams I quickly realized he could make my visions come to life. He responded quickly to e-mails, and promptly set up meeting dates to get the ball rolling. Trey drew up a clear visual of what I should expect my kitchen to look like, and it matched every vision I had. Once he started the project it was evident that Trey was an extremely professional, motivated, passionate, and hardworking businessman. He worked 6-7 days a week, met every deadline, included me in the process, and did absolutely remarkable work. My white cabinets, farm sink, and countertops give me the kitchen that I have always wanted! After seeing my kitchen I decided to get Trey to build me two white shelves and a mantle in my living room. It's safe to say that I LOVE my house now and Trey helped that happen. I highly recommend using Trey for work because he will help your visions come to life, and be a pleasure to work with.

The comment made most often by others after seeing the kitchen cabinets in our home is, "gorgeous". We are extremely pleased with the results and recommend him highly. You can see pictures of our white kitchen cabinets at www.trecllc.com

Billy and his team are about quality and making things the right way. We hired them to renovate an aging dock and deck. They were able to repurpose some lumber that saved us money. They did the meticulous things that far exceeded our expectations. We are so impressed with their craftsmanship. On top of that, they are great guys. We know who to hire for all of our future projects!

Billy and his team did a great job on a complicated deck/porch roof renovation. Billy made sure that we knew what was going on everyday and kept costs down to as reasonable a level as possible. If you are looking for honesty, integrity and quality then Lawson Projects is your answer. We will definitely use Billy and his team in the future. Chris and Margareat

Wow! Billy and team just finished painting our house the most beautiful color gray. We used a company that we had used for other projects. It is amazing, the workmanship was great and Billy and his team deserve a gold star. Thanks to Mallory for coming to do the last minute touch ups. Our house is on the market and I don't want to leave! Thank you Billy and team!Bob and Susan

Billy and his team finished up my house-painting today, and I could not be more pleased. The work is thoroughly professional, including the replacement of water-damaged wood and the installation of a (much-needed) new steel support in the carport. They are very careful not to make a mess, and clean up after themselves each day. Everyone on the team is professional, and they show up when scheduled and finish when they say they will. Best of all, the results are beautiful. It doesn't get better.

Lawson Project, Billy and his team are fantastic to work with. On time, on budget, high quality, flexible and pleasant. We had both bathrooms in our house completely gutted and redone and my wife and I are 100% satisfied. I worked 30 years in the construction business as a contracting officer and I rate Lawson Projects at the top. We will definitely use Billy again and highly recommend him for any home renovation.

Billy has now done 3 jobs for us: painting interior of house, crown moulding in 2 bathrooms, and this week's task; removing ceramic tile in kitchen and eating area, and carpeting in family room. They laid 3 rooms of hardwood. All in 2-1/2 days. Billy and his guys, Loring, Gary and Jimmy are the best you will find in the industry. They pay attention to detail, are trustworthy and dependable. They clean up after themselves and won't leave until customer is satisfied. As far as pricing, I went to a local business to see if Billy's price was on target. The owner told me to have Billy do it, because they couldn't even get close to Billy's estimate. Kudo's to all of you and many thanks to Lawson Projects. A very satisfied customer. P.Campbell
Tips & Advices
In most states, contractors are required to have a license before taking a job. Some states also require registration. To be licensed, contractors must pass an exam and meet certain qualifications that prove he or she is a competent flooring contractor. Registration is simply a list of who will be performing a job.
The time it takes to install flooring depends on the type of flooring and the size of the room or rooms involved in the project. In one day, a typical contractor can usually install up to 2,000 square feet of carpet, 600 square feet of hardwood or laminate, or 400 square feet of tile or stone.
  • Do you have a professional license, insurance, and a business liability policy?
  • Who will work on the project?
  • Do you subcontract, and do you screen workers and have insurance policies to cover them?
  • Do you have references or examples of your work I can see?
  • Do you charge for an in-home estimate?
  • What type of flooring is best for my home in terms of architectural consistency, environmental influences (such as whether a certain type of flooring will be affected by humidity in my area), and durability?
Legally, insurance is not necessary, but it's a good idea for flooring contractors to have it. When hiring a flooring contractor, ask whether the business is insured. If it's not, consider that a red flag.
A flooring contractor should know the pros and cons of each flooring option. These might include pricing, time of installation, durability, and average lifespan of the material.
