Hutton's Landscapes Inc
Hutton's Landscapes takes care of the "landscaping" around the entrance signs of our neighborhood. I'll just post some pictures of the job they do and you can decide if this is acceptable to you.

These guys were very professional, experienced & great to do business with. The quality of work they put out is incredible. They were very meticulous & took a lot of pride in the work they did. The total cost wasn't extremely cheap but it wasn't over priced. It was fairly priced, especially for the quality of work they put out.

Sodman Landscaping Desing
So this company lost their contract with the military and rightfully so. The grounds were never maintained to what the contract stated they would do. We paid the 25 dollars a month to come out twice a month to take care of back yard and front yard mulch. They never came unless we called. We were lucky to have them come out one time a month. Then when they lost the contract they charged us for the month they lost the contract and the following month. When we called they were very rude and refused to refund our money. This place is a joke and if you want to throw your money away and not get any service......sign up with this outfit. Keep in mind. There is a reason why they lost the contract and a ton of business.

Blades Of Grass Lawn Care, LLC
I was impressed at first but lost confidence in the service. I had shrubs, etc. planted and complained when they were initially planted. The plants Blades of Grass purchased and planted appeared subpar. Four years later, the shrubs look like Charlie Brown trees. There has been no growth in four years and the shrubs are not even planted fully in the ground. Complaints were shrugged off and after four years off complaining with no attempt by Blades of Grass to rectify the situation (I still employed them to do my lawn), I finally fired them.

Very professional & excellent work!!! Very happy with the job that was done, it couldn't have been done any better. Response time was fast, they delivered (if not OVER delivered) on everything I wanted & the price was more than fair compared to other pool companies I've used here in savannah! These guys were honest, reliable & definitely very knowledgeable! Will definitely call this company back for future work!

My yard was a mess. JOHNY CROOKS and his staff were incredible. In 4 days they turned my weedy back yard into a garden of earthly delights. His workers knew exactly what to do and how to do it. They worked so hard, were so polite and the clean up was impeccable. I can't say enough if you want great workmanship, fair pricing and wonderful results...

Blades of Grass Lawn Care is top-notch and I highly recommend others to employ their services! They are professional, courteous, reliable, and quite cost competitive. Hard to find such a combination in today's economic climate.
Tips & Advices
Employers must conduct all required training in a language and vocabulary that workers can understand. Training must demonstrate the hazards of operating certain machinery, like stone cutters and splitters, as well as how to use them appropriately. It's important to verify that your landscape contractor has taken the necessary steps to fully train its personnel and that the appropriate safety precautions are in place.
Check the specific regulations for your area, and verify that your contractor has the necessary licenses. These may include a state contractor's license, pesticide license, CDL driver's license and license to sell and purchase nursery stock.
Landscape work is not cheap, so it's in your best interest to make sure that it's done to your requirements and that you get the best contractor to do the job. Homeowners should know how much they'll need to pay for the contractor's service as well as how they will be billed for this work. Ask about any design fees, if quoted prices are fixed or estimates, and what the payment process will be. Clarifying these items in the beginning will prevent any surprise expenses.
Yes. Homeowners should require that the contractor submit certificates verifying compliance with safety, insurance, workers' compensation and drug and alcohol testing programs. This will give you peace of mind that the contractor has gone through all the steps under industry regulations.
Yes. Every good contractor should have a list of recently completed jobs that you can see in their portfolio. They should also have a list of references that you can contact, or properties that you can see in person.
