We have always loved this campground, but it is unfortunate that the owners choose to be rude, even when it is not necessary and a pleasant approach would have been equally effective. It always amazes me when a business owner is rude to a customer or guest, the very people they depend upon for their livelihood. It is a small-minded management mentality combined with poor people skills that would take a curt and unfriendly approach, when a friendly tone could have conveyed the same message. Plus they would have had a happy customer instead of an offended one. The feel here is clique-ish with their older regulars but not necessarily very welcoming to everyone else. And really hung up on their rules to the point where they use no discretion from one situation to the next, and they have no tact or diplomacy when they address them. There are too many other places to go in this beautiful State than to come here and be treated rudely. Shame on them.

  • Wonderful Campground

We have been staying at this campground for almost 20 years. This is the nicest campground by far. The staff is very friendly, the bathrooms are very clean. The view of the river and ships is wonderful. The rates are very reasonable. I would recommend this campground to everyone! Linda & Tim Stennett

We stayed here for a week a left a day early just to get away from management. They were so rude that neither my wife or myself wanted anymore to do with them
We where lied to about being able to see the locks from campground
We had a problem with camper and ask to use their phone to call a local RV Dealer and was told ""NO"" nothing else just a plain NO
We when out for dinner and came back to find our water shut off. Was told by the OWNER that he had a ""NO WATER LEAK POLICY"" after wreacking the end fitting on my hose trying to stop leak I found that the problem was with their old out dated fitting. When I took management that the problem was with their fitting. I was told"" what do you want me to do about it"" by the lady on duty. I was told not to trun water on with leak. I asked what was I sisposed to do and was told that wasn't her problem. LIKE OWNER LIKE EMPLOYEE
The place is just a run down campground with a coat of paint. Over priced
The side walk in front of restrooms was so bad that instead if fixing cracks they just put bright green paint over cracks hoping no one would fall
    Feel free to conact me

  • not for a famiely

This was the worst campground we stayed at on are vacation.Way over priced and way over crowded . This campground is only for people looking for a night in a over crowed money pit.The staff hates kids there and the rule is get out by noon or we charge u full price. Very ugly looking campsite with hardly no trees or no fire pits at all.1 or 2 picnic tables for 60 plus sites.this is only a place to watch ships come in or out .Staff was very rude and not helpful in anyway at all .Thank god we only stayed 1 night. If u want the worst of Mi camping then stay here,U have been warned this place sucks .Go just down the street and there is alot better than this trash heap of a campground. There is also better at the city dump

this is a very nice place to camp, I recommend it to anyone who loves the river and the freighters. It is also located only about a mile from the Soo Locks and other down town activities. For more information visit them online!
