Tillett's Automotive
Captain really nailed it this time. I had come in about a month ago and I had heard a kid (not more than 23) come in and complain about service that he claimed had wrecked his car. He was just looking for an outlet to complain because I heard everyone from Tillet's try and resolve the issue with the customer but he was having none of it. He was very rude and not responsive, and his tale didn't add up. Anyways fast forward to yesterday and Marv remembered me from that day and said that sincere I had to endure that incident, the oil filter was going to be done for free. WOW! Seriously, THAT is definitely a good way to make a customer's experience a memorable one AND keep that customer coming back :) I am sure it's personal touch like that that keeps most people I know raving happy about Tillet's.

Tom, Joanne and Andrea are always friendly and really great to work with. They offer loaner cars, but this time I chose to hang out and have some coffee in their comfortable waiting room and catch up on my e-mails while they did a break job and routine maintenance on my Impreza. Everything was done as I'd anticipated and right on schedule. I can always depend on Tillet's Automotive because it's locally owned by a terrific family with solid ethics. They've always come through for us.

Tillett's Automotive
Tillett's is a family run business. From the start, they have been very helpful and accommodating. I feel confident that every time I need car help, they will be there to provide excellent service. I highly recommend them to anyone needing Subaru car service or car advice. P.S. Tom also manages to recondition and sell used Subarus. I would feel completely confident buying one of these when it comes time to part with my current vehicle.

How hard is it to find an honest mechanic who also knows what they are doing? I found mine at Tillett's Automotive. I drive 40 miles to bring my Outback to Tillett's, and it has always been worth the drive. They look beyond the repair and make sure my entire car is safe and sound, every time it's in the shop. I've tried others, but Tillett's beat them all for price and quality of service.

Freeman Toyota
Everyone at Freeman Toyota was absolutely amazing! We broke down on our way out of town and they took wonderful care of us! They had a waiting room full of people but still managed to fit us in and fix our car! Rhonda and Jeff treated us with respect, patience, and a smile the whole time! If we ever find ourselves in Santa Rosa again, we wouldn't hesitate to go back!

Freeman Toyota
Excellent, knowledgeable repair and maintenance service. Nice, spacious, well-appointed customer waiting area. Courtesy shuttle service. I can't say they are inexpensive, but at least they have the service and customer-oriented staff to make it worth my preference. I take all my vehicles here for regular oil-change and checkups, not just my Toyota! Highly recommend.

I get my oil changed at Tillett's as a way to keep tabs on how my high mileage car is doing mechanically. They keep me posted on what maintenance is on the horizon. They stick to their schedule and I am in and out of there quickly. Staff is always helpful and polite. They even have wireless if I need to get work done.

We have been coming to Tillett's to care for our SVX for many years, since they were in a small garage, and the service and professional care has always been outstanding. It is a great accomplishment for them to grow the business and keep up the great level of service. We always enthusiastically recommend Tillett's!

Tom was able to diagnosis my car with the motorboat imitation I hummed at him while explaining the problem. He really listened to what I had to say and didn't treat me like an idiot. The car was fixed to my satisfaction, at a reasonable price and in a timely fashion. As usual I am very satisfied with Tillet's.

Tips & Advices
Depending on the part and its overall quality, a good amount of money can be saved by purchasing aftermarket parts versus OEM parts. But aftermarket parts that are low in price might also be lower in quality and could do more harm than good to your car, or they may need to be replaced more frequently than a more expensive counterpart. This could lead to saving some money in the short term, but spending more than anticipated in the long term.
The type of tires being purchased is the most significant determinant of their price. SUV tires are more costly than average car tires. And high-performance tires are more costly than economy grade tires. On average, standard tires for an average-sized vehicle are around $100 per tire. Standard tires for an SUV are around $150 and pick-up truck tires are about $200 on average. Some dealers offer discounts if purchasing more than one tire.
Car inspections typically take about an hour. However the wait time can be longer depending on how busy the shop is. Call ahead for an appointment to avoid long wait times.
Depending on the manufacturer, certain aftermarket parts can be just as reliable as Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts. But one item within a vehicle, like oil filters for instance, could have multiple manufacturers and there could be inconsistencies in quality among them.
Costs of replacing a windshield can vary greatly depending on a variety of factors:
  • Vehicle make and model
  • How much of the cost insurance will cover
  • Whether the windshield installers come to your location or you bring the vehicle to them
  • Standard service costs of the windshield installers
Generally, newer and higher-end vehicles cost more to have their windshields replaced because certain manufacturers use modified or proprietary glass types.
