A great location, with gorgeous sweeping views through the marvellous picture windows, get there early (in daylight) to enjoy the best of the restaurant. The food is good but not spectacular as the standards have been redone time and time again. Always good, and always consistent, but lacks the passion to elevate to "Impressive" for great Italian food. Unimpressive wine list.

This is the only pizzeria I have ever been to that has excellent pizza AND great-tasting hamburgers. Their salads are good and they have a flourless chocolate cake for dessert. Heaven!

Let start this by admitting that I truly hate Guy Fieri and all that he represents. I hate his douchey hair style, his frenetic cooking style and the fact that he has an audience on FoodNetwork and at Fridays. Honestly I wouldn't have ever wanted to go if my mom hadn't wanted to try it, and that being said I am glad that I gave it a shot. That being said...this place was far and away better than his competition -- TGIFridays, Bennigans, Applebee's and the like. The menu is varied and interesting for a place like this and the service was great. I had Sarah, a very energetic, but not annoying, and spent just enough time away to not notice her, which is always the sign of a good server. This location was small but not overwhelming, had a full bar, a few TVs and an outdoor eating section with warmers abound. Ok to the meal; A french onion soup which was surprisingly good. The onions tasted as if they had been simmered for hours with a broth that was thick but not goopy. the cheese was just thick enough to add something without being overpowering. Center cut choice top sirloin grilled and topped with zinfandel shallot butter and our crispy Maui onions. I took a chance but hell, they had a nice grill going and it came out great. The meat was nearly the size of my face and tender as all hell. The vegetables still had some resistance in them and the garlic mashed potatoes were what you'd expect form a place named Johnny Garlic's. So if you are in Santa Rosa and want something in the Friday's ilk but don't want to deal with the older set, give it a shot. Don't expect something magical, but know that this is better than the rest in this type of eating.

12/28/06 I have been going here only for the 50% off deal with Entertainment book. The reason is that the pizza centers are always doughy. The owner told me that I am the only one who complains. This is what usually occurs on the West coast. People here don't know what cooked crusts are because very few palors prepare and cook a proper dough. So I have learned to accept the poor quality for half off. Everything else was good. I would have liked more of a 'to the edge' with the toppings. The overall taste of the meat lover was better than average, but that doughyness really destroyed the whole pie. I did receive an apology, and an attempt to cook it longer, but all that was going to accomplish was burn the top of the pizza. Now that I have alerted the owner to the problem, we promised he was going to work on it. I hope others who eat here will post what they encounter.

We are the Lazzini family, and we took over ownership of what was formerly the Bennett Valley Market on February 1, 2011. Our family business is run by Steve Lazzini, his brother Mark and his son Kevin. The deli and market business is in our blood. Together, we have over 50 years of experience as former owners and employees of Steve-O's Meat and Deli and Ray's Food Center. Our vision for Lazzini's Market is to build on our deli roots. Our brand new deli is open and features freshly made sandwiches and various grab 'n go items. Our new BBQ and smoker is filling the air with the smells-so-good-you-can't-wait-to-get-your-hands-on-some aromas of smoked ribs, BBQ tri-tip and more. In addition to great, freshly made food, the market features local fare, such as bread from the Franco-American Bakery, Clover dairy products and Sonoma County wine. And with a name like Lazzini, the market wouldn't be complete without some Italian specialty goods. We are family. We are Italian. We are proud locals. We are Lazzini's Market

We've read about this restaurant in VIA (the AAA magazine) a while ago. Last night we finally had a chance to dine there. My husband had the winter white salad and the juniper rubbed duck and I had the polenta with gorgonzola and pine nuts, followed by black trumpet mushroom & ricotta ravioli. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. You can tell it has been created by people who love and care about food. Service was tops: well-coordinated, friendly and attentive. A great place for a romantic dinner or for dining out with a few friends.

One of the best breakfast/lunch menus in town! The atmosphere is a little cozy and very relaxing, especially if you sit by the window which looks out over the creek.

What business do people in Santa Rosa have making pizza? Well, to be honest with you there is legit pizza in Santa Rosa. Mombo's is alright for that mock New York fast slice style, and Mary's is okay if you get into it knowing you are eating Mary's Pizza and not legitimate Italian Pizza. You know, the more Californian-American style - a glorified Round Table I would say. La Vera... different story. Let me tell you something... if you find yourself in this pit stain of a city, and you are looking for pizza... keep away form the other spots and any other place you see pizza being sold. La Vera is the place for you, real Italian pies, real Italian options, pastas, gelato, and good service. La Vera was the second best pizza in the nation ins 2006 according to a Sonoma County newspaper. That is great and all - but maybe this newspaper did not go to New York. Every pizza I had in New York (minus Pomodoro's - aka garbage slice) blew La Vera out of the water. However, when you live in California this is something you look for. Better than anyone I can think of in San Francisco (Arinel? No! Sbarro is better than that ****). La Vera is legit, fresh cheeses, well thought out family recipes, fresh basil on anything! These people know what they are doing. But hey don't trust me... I'm just some slob who eats too much pizza and appreciates the finer pizzas in life, what do I know?

Take out or delivery only, but pizza is much better at home anyhow! I used to live next door to the owner and he's been practicing and perfecting his pizza skills for years. He's passed on his knowledge to his employees!

I haven't been to any Red Lobster in over 5 years. We decided to go here because of it proximity to the movie theater. We were pleasantly surprised by the swift service and the great selections. Soup and the shrimp lettuce wraps were great starters. The main entrees arrived super fast and the taste was spot right on. I highly recommend this place when on a budget and don't have a whole lot of time.
