Clearwater Plumbing
Failed to show for two scheduled appointments; did not call to advise in either instance -- "too busy". No idea whether they can do the work when they don't show for the work. Huge disappointment.

Clearwater Plumbing
I called Brett about installing some sconces. He gave me an estimate very quickly and then, when it seemed like a pretty expensive option, he suggested another less expensive but equally effective alternative

Santa Fe Express Plumbing & Drain
They seem expert at not paying their subcontractors even when they doubled charged their customer for work of said sub. Nor do they return phone calls, texts or emails. I worked it out. If you have a problem with Roberto, he will not return calls or text because he blocks them.Hire this company and risk your property having a lean slapped on it as this is a recourse subs have when your contractor does not pay them.Tim Schneider of RNT Crane Service

Santa Fe Express Plumbing & Drain
They are expert In not paying bills and ignoring phone calls from past due accounts. Been trying to get paid for going on 3 months. Need a unit put on your roof? Make sure a crane company will work for them as, no, they don't pay their bills.

San Morcol Inc
I have been using Curtis Valdez, San Morcol Mechanical Contractors for years now! I have always been 100% satisfied and would recommend him to anyone! Not only his he a hard worker but he is a family man. He is always very involved with the community and his family. His employees ( a lot of which are his family) are all very respectful and always do a good job. I would always recommend Curtis Valdez if all you want is perfection in the work being done and respect towards you. I read the review below and had to write my own because that is not the way Curtis acts professionally or personally. To even think that someone an write something like this about him is shocking. Anybody in need of an excellent plumber Curtis Valdez with San Morcol Mechanical Contractors is the best, you can never go wrong with choosing him.

Rich Duran Plumbing & Heating Systems, Inc.
Rich Duran put the plumbing and heating system in my house. The boiler didn't make it to the end of the warranty. A new boiler was installed in 2011. I was told the unit would be under warranty since it was new. It's 2015 and the boiler has to be replaced. A tech from this firm came out and "fixed the problem." That evening, the boiler began leaking with water all over the place. I was told there was no paperwork for the second boiler. So, it was not under warranty. This firm doesn't stand behind its work and products. Look elsewhere. I did for boiler #3.

Santa Fe Express Plumbing & Drain
I received a coupon post card in the mail and called Santa Fe Express Plumbing & Drain for maintenance on my boiler. The day of my appointment I got a call from the plumber asking me if I had an appointment at 11am. I said yes and it is 10:55am. He tried to tell me that he did not know, he just got the message. and was actually going back to another job site. I told him I had taken off of work already. He told me that he would then instead start driving to my area which was about 25min away still. I asked him if he had a thermal couple since that may be an issue on the boiler and he said he just used his last one. If I wanted him to he could go see if his shipment had come in but I would have to wait another 30min. I offered to go to our local True Value and get one myself and meet him at my house. I returned to my home and 20 min later he sends me a text asking me where my road was and stating his phone was not working (but he could text). I had given my address at the time I made the appt and they said they had a GPS. I gave him my address again. I called him and no answer. I get another text saying he was lost and maybe I would prefer to reschedule. After that he didn't answer his texts or calls. I called Robert who answers the main number and who I scheduled with and he said he would contact him...I never heard fro Robert either. I am actually grateful they did not find my house.... obviously not trustworthy or accountable crew. I would not recommend ever using them!
Tips & Advices
A trustworthy plumber will have both commercial liability insurance as well as be bonded. The insurance and the bond protects the plumber from paying for any damages made to your house out of pocket. Having professionals that carry both of these policies can protect all of you from any mishaps that could occur while they work on your building.
  • Before calling a plumber, try to unclog your drains and toilets yourself by using a plunger.
  • Make sure you use a standard bell-shaped plunger for your sink and shower drains and a plunger with a flanged end for your toilets.
  • If neither type can loosen the pipe blockage, put a plumber's snake to use.
  • Ratchet the snake down the pipe to eliminate any clogs.
Usually, a leaky or dripping faucet is an easy fix that can be done by anyone who is even slightly handy with tools.. To fix it, first shut off the water under the sink then remove any decorative parts of the faucet and replace the washer and O-ring before reassembling everything.
To keep yourself safe from fraud or a possible scam, always remember to ask plumbers for their license along with a written warranty for their labor. Besides this, further safeguard yourself by checking their references and ensure they or their company is insured and bonded to do their work.
If you're having hot water issues, you can examine the thermostat and adjust it accordingly. If you hear odd sounds coming from your water heater, it could be due to sediment building up. To get rid of this, make sure you clean out the heater every few months. However, if you hear a boiling noise, it could mean the heater is overheating and you should call a plumbing professional as soon as possible.
