I had a mixed experience with JRA designs. He was very nice, my wedding dress and the bridesmaid dresses looked beautiful but his customer service was horrendous. He made my wedding gown, 6 bridesmaid dresses, and altered my rehearsal dinner dress. Please see details below:\r \r It was extremely stressful to work with him because he didn't meet any of his deadlines. He had made me a bridesmaid dress, because I really liked the design, and was supposed to have it altered to fit me before I left for the wedding. Unfortunately, he didn't complete it by his deadline and said he would mail it to me. When I arrived back in the UK, after the wedding, I tried the skirt on, because I wanted to bring it with me on the honeymoon, and he never even altered it. When I questioned him about this he didn't respond and I ended up having to pay someone to alter it for me which was extremely frustrating because I had already paid for the alterations. \r \r Furthermore, he was supposed to alter my rehearsal dinner dress and send it in the mail to my house 2 weeks before the wedding so that I could get it pressed. When the dress didn't arrive I phoned him and he told me that he had mailed it regular mail. Sadly it was 6 days before the rehearsal and it wouldn't arrive in time. The day after the phone call I sent him an email telling him how upset I was because I had to buy a brand new dress. He then wrote back saying that he never actually mailed it and asked me if I would like it sent next day. I didn't want to risk this so I had a friend pick it up and bring it with her to the wedding, and I therefore had to wear the dress wrinkled because it arrived the day before the rehearsal and I didn't have time to get it pressed.\r \r Another issue that upset me was that my wedding gown wasn't exactly as I had wanted it when I walked out with it. Sadly, I had to take the dress because he didn't finish it in time for me to make further alterations on it. When I had agreed to have him make the gown back in August 2010 he had said that I wouldn't leave the shop, or pay for the final payment, until the gown was exactly as I had wanted it. There was no excuse for the dress being made at the last minute since he had known about it 1 year in advance and had received all of the fabric 6 months before the wedding. Furthermore he was unable to get the blood out of the dress that he got on it while sewing it. Additionally 1 bustle broke before I even made it to the reception and an additional 2 broke during the reception. \r \r As for the bridesmaid dresses, 3 of the girls skirts and corsets were extremely large. One girl had to have her skirt taken in so much that the seamstress had to remove the pockets altogether. The cost for these alterations were over 100 dollars/girl. I don't understand how the skirt and corset could have been so large on these women when he had their exact measurements. All 3 of the girls skirts were 6 inches too large. \r \r Overall, the dresses looked great but I wouldn't use him unless you lied about when everything was due, and even then he's not reliable. There are plenty of quality people in California who could make your dress by the deadline. It's not worth the stress or agrivation. If you're going for a hem and you don't have a deadline then he would be great because he does a nice job.\r

CONSIGNEES BE WARNED!!! Feel very very taken advantage of by White Peacock Bridal! I dropped of my $2500 Enzoani Dakota wedding dress to the White Peacock Bridal in April of 2014. The contract was up in November of 2014. I called November 13th to see if I should come get the dress. I was advised by the White Peacock Bridal to leave my dress as they were busy, brides were interested and they hoped it would sell soon. I was not told to re-sign a contract, there was NO mention of the contract in this call. I had concern about the dress being donated, I would never want my beautiful expensive dress donated! I was assured that they do not donate dresses easily and I would be informed if they intended to donate the dress but the chance was very null. I have never worked with a consignment shop before so I was trusting and left the dress there despite my husbands concerns to go in and check on it. I called the White Peacock bridal (3/31/2015) and left a message checking in on the dress. I received a call back a week later (4/3/2015) from the owner of the store stating that my contract was up in November 2014, they had left me 3 messages (first it was 1 message then changed to 3 by the end of the phone call) in November telling me to come and get the dress and since I did not reply they donated it!! Heartbroken and very upset I told her I called in November and was advised to keep the dress there. She went on to tell me she would have never had me keep the dress there without re-signing a contract. Now if I was told this I would have been there in 3 minutes to re-sign a contract as I live approx 3 miles from the White Peacock Bridal. I asked for proof of the message(s) as I never received any message(s) she could not provide that information. After the very unpleasant phone conversation I went to my phone statements and found a 3 minute phone call I made to her store November 13th, 2014 and did not find ANY inbound calls from White peacock bridal from 9/2014 - 3/2015. I sent the owner an email with the phone statement showing the November 13th call and told her I would be happy to provide statements showing that I never received any message(s) from her shop about donation. In an email I asked for proof of donation, when the dress was donated and where it was donated to. If she could not provide me with this information I notified her that I would need to share my story with the public to warn other brides. Her reply was that my contract has been up for 6 months, clearly states the dress would be donated 15 days afetr the contract was up and I did not fulfill my obligation so she donated it. She stated that if I write negative reviews of the White Peacock Bridal that she will take legal action and she had already contacted a lawyer! She made no mention of the proof I had that I had called in November or the message(s) she claimed she left but there is no proof of. In a later email she made it clear she was not going to tell when/where she donated the dress or give me proof of donation of my $2500 wedding dress. Interestingly enough I saw on Facebook she had posted the same exact Enzoani Dakota dress 3-22-2015. I cannot be sure if this is my dress even if it is not why is she donating the same dresses she has in her store? She will give me no answers. She only throws out the lawyer and the contract card. I understand I should have followed up better. I never thought I would be lied to and taken advantage of :(

Efficient, elegant and easy on your wallet. Jessica has the consignment formula down. I admire her straightforward store policies and honesty when it comes taking in clothes. It’s a win/win on both sides. The store has a fresh and energetic feel. I have shopped and consigned at Jessica’s for over 4 years and have never been disappointed. Well, maybe a couple of times when someone has grabbed the pair of shoes I had my eyes on or the earrings I wanted! I would recommend dropping in often, as clothes seem to come in by the hour and often leave the same day. Have fun shopping!!!!!!

Horrible sales girls. They do not seem like they want to be there, so why are they there? Although this store has some great brands, it has lousy customer service. The sales girls are all rude and have been for years. Don't think I will ever go back.

Great store I have been shopping here my whole life since I am a santa barbara local. Only problem is I really think they need to switch up the staff since half of them are clueless. I went to the store to buy a pair of juicy shoes and they didnt have the color I wanted-black. The sales clerk offered to order it online for me and have it shipped to my house and when i finally got them two weeks later she ordered them in beige, the same color they had in the store, not the one I had wanted, obviously. Otherwise I could have bought them there. This left me frusterated due the the clerk's incapability of doing such a simple job.

The Marcel Hemp pants are great. I have the women's drawstring waist camo pant. They are a beautiful cut and very flattering for my body, relaxed and stylish. Also the drawstring waist band Bali pants, they are a wide, capri cut with batik pockets and waist line. I love wearing both of these styles, they are perfect for my everyday activities, yoga, and also eco festivals. I always receive compliments when I wear them!

I had a tailor in the past who was very nice but I always had to make an appt as he seemed to rarely be in the office. The last time I used his services, he had sewn a hem with brown thread to my blue linen pants. Then Tony's name was given to me by a few friends. I am surprised to read one reviewer who says Tony is often not there. I always find him or the gal who works with him in his office. He is polite, does great work and if you are not happy with the new fit, he will happily redo it for you. When you need something in a rush, he will do it for you at an additional cost. I do wish he was open on Saturday but perhaps he does great work because he knows how to have down time. My children like greeting him too!

like their product, but the kids they hire need more training in customer service. they do not greet customers entering the store, especially if with a customer. today was the 2nd time in a week. i went earlier in the week, they didnt have my size. and the nice kid tried to show me many other styles. i asked if more sizes were on order, he had no idea ""my manager does the ordering"" no attempt to find out. so i went back today, and got ignored by both employees. both were with a client, but neither acknowledged me, said hello i'll be with you shortly, or anything. waited around about 4-5 minutes, they both saw me. the guy was carrying on a personal conversation, no longer shoes. the girl was chatting about different styles with her customer. had either said, be with you in a minute, i would have stuck around and spent $120 on the shoes i wanted. instead, i'm going online to buy them. i've been in many times over the years, and have bought many pairs of shoes here, but i'm done.

CoutureCandy has sold items from the Designer Born Uniqorn Fasion line and received payment for said items through their website. Per our agreement with CoutureCandy, as of October 9th, 2010 CoutureCandy has not commissioned (paid) Born Uniqorn on those sold items. Although numerous attempts to contact them regarding this matter have been made, CoutureCandy has not returned phone Calls, emails, or a certified, return receipt letter and, to date, we have not been paid. There is a receptionist that will always answer the phone, but good luck trying to actually speak with any officials that work at the company as they are always 'out'. ** CoutureCandy would not be receiving any stars were it possible as they have scrupulous and questionable business practices.
