Calderon Tires
This place was cool. I mysteriously got a nail in my tire (vandalism) and I really did not know what to do. I called around and they offered me a decent price on a replacement. So I drove to the location and it was a simplistic set up. They got to work as soon as I got out of the ride. He soon determined the cause of the leak and got set to repair it. The time of repair was minimal, I went to the store to get a soda, and when I returned it was done. About ten minutes of work for 10 bucks. I could not ask for a better result. I am glad that in such a trying time this place existed, they are quick, mindful, and there to help. Hats off to this tire shop. They are cool!

Calderon's Tires, Inc
I had a nail in my tire and they fixed it for $10 in 10 minutes...and they had several other cars to work on. I had a leak that required me to go to the gas station to refill the air every 12 hours and they saved me that madness. Before I went to Calderon, I went to a Walmart and they tried to scam me into buying four new tires and would not fix the tire...Walmart McCarthy Ranch Milpitas told me the tire Calderon fixed wasn't fixable! Walmart tried to tell me my tire walls were cracked, but they aren't. Calderon never tried to sell me tires I didn't need. Thank you Calderon, for the great service and being honest. I will always remember them.

Got a flat tire Saturday night around 6:15 p.m. I Yelped to see what tire shops are open and after numerous calls to other tire shops, I stumbled upon Calderon's (most of the tire shops I called were closed at 6 p.m.) Calderon's close at 7 p.m. Got there 10 minutes til closing time, and they fixed/patched up my tire in 5 minutes. They charged me $10 for it, which was awesome. I wanted to add tip to my credit card, but the guy was honest enough to tell me that they don't accept tips on the credit card (good thing I had cash and gave him $4 for saving my tire and my night).

Calderon Tires & Wheels
Let me just say that I joined Yelp just so that I could give a review. We received immediate service as soon as we pulled in. We were greeted by an employee who was knowledgable on all of their tire inventory and was able locate a matching used Goodyear tire after we had a flat. They also checked our spare tire too. They worked very quickly and we were in and out in about ten minutes. Very impressed and very thankful.

Kim's Tire Outlet
I have been using this tire shop for the last 8 years. They are a recommended installer for Tirerack.com. James is great, he is fair with his pricing and does an excellent job.

This place has saved me tons of money over the years. They are wonderful, honest and fair. I have never had any complaints about Calderon New and Used Tires.
Tips & Advices
Yes. New tires purchased online can often be priced lower than ones at a tire dealership. Buyers can often avoid state sales taxes and locate hard-to-find tire styles and sizes, but will still have to locate a local tire installer and pay sometimes high shipping costs.
The average cost of a set of new tires is $637, with a range of between $525-$725. In addition, installation includes mounting and balancing, alignment, and disposal of old tires.
The vehicle is raised and the old wheels are removed, then the old tires are removed from the wheels. The lug nuts, wheels, and valve stems are inspected and replaced as needed. The new tires are mounted and sealed, then inflated and balanced. The wheels are then replaced on the car. The average installation takes approximately 45 minutes.
Agencies such as the Tire Industry Association promotes tire safety through advocacy and education to the industry including: manufacture, sales, repair, service and recycling. Seek a full-service tire dealer who carries a wide variety of tire types and brands and asks about the type of driving you normally do.
  • Move your car to a safe location.
  • Turn on your car’s safety lights, apply the parking brakes and remove the hubcap if there is one.
  • Loosen the lug nuts with a lug wrench (but do not remove them), raise the vehicle with a jack and then fully remove the lugnuts.
  • Remove the flat tire and replace it with the spare tire.
  • Tighten the lug nuts by hand, lower the car and then tighten them fully with the lug wrench.

Just a moment...
