Calderon Tires & Wheels
Let me just say that I joined Yelp just so that I could give a review. We received immediate service as soon as we pulled in. We were greeted by an employee who was knowledgable on all of their tire inventory and was able locate a matching used Goodyear tire after we had a flat. They also checked our spare tire too. They worked very quickly and we were in and out in about ten minutes. Very impressed and very thankful.

Calderon Tires
I had a nail in my tire and they fixed it for $10 in 10 minutes...and they had several other cars to work on. I had a leak that required me to go to the gas station to refill the air every 12 hours and they saved me that madness. Before I went to Calderon, I went to a Walmart and they tried to scam me into buying four new tires and would not fix the tire...Walmart McCarthy Ranch Milpitas told me the tire Calderon fixed wasn't fixable! Walmart tried to tell me my tire walls were cracked, but they aren't. Calderon never tried to sell me tires I didn't need. Thank you Calderon, for the great service and being honest. I will always remember them.

West Coast Wheels & Tires
Stay AWAY! Scam! very Dishonest! Be carefull! DO NOT TRUST! They LIE! DO NOT ORDER! We called them for rims&tires they said they have them in stock,we come their and guess what they LIED they DONT have them in stock BUT we can ORDER.so we think their these normal guys we order they request deposit $1,000 deposit then the tires don't come in for days and days, then finally they come in but their not made for my car and they stick out on the side.bolts are way too small, then they tell me they wont return my deposit because they had to "order" and on their receipt it says "no returns".someone needs to shut these guys down! Will file lawsuit at small claim court and will report to California Department of Consumer of Affairs.

Calderon Tire Service
Watch out for some guy named Jose Calderon. I bought new tires for my wifes car and wanted an alignment. Jose gets in my wifes car and starts revving the motor close to red line, steps on brake while still revving the motor, starts to release the clutch. He does it 4 times. Gets out of the car, calls me over and tells me I need new motor mounts before he can do the alignment. He throws out a price of $600.00. I tell him I'll take it to my regular mechanic, suddenly the price drops $100.00. I ask to see he B.A.R number. He asked why, I told him I wanted to make sure he was legit to do the work. He gets a little testy and said he's been a mechanic for 30 years. I tell him I'm leaving. He says the warranty on the tires only good for a week without the alignment. Take the car to my mechanic the next day. Motor mounts are good. Told him about my experience with Calderon . He tells me that they were trying to rip me off.

America's Tire Company
I would not recommend this place for anyone...took in my car to have my front tires replaced , later I found out that my lug nuts on the left front and back were not torqued and were loose as I went down the road there was a thump thump thump ! Thought it was a bearing that was going out and auto repair place said it was only the lug nuts !Luckily nothing else was damaged because of there laziness to check if things were safe !

Tips & Advices
Yes. New tires purchased online can often be priced lower than ones at a tire dealership. Buyers can often avoid state sales taxes and locate hard-to-find tire styles and sizes, but will still have to locate a local tire installer and pay sometimes high shipping costs.
The average cost of a set of new tires is $637, with a range of between $525-$725. In addition, installation includes mounting and balancing, alignment, and disposal of old tires.
The vehicle is raised and the old wheels are removed, then the old tires are removed from the wheels. The lug nuts, wheels, and valve stems are inspected and replaced as needed. The new tires are mounted and sealed, then inflated and balanced. The wheels are then replaced on the car. The average installation takes approximately 45 minutes.
Agencies such as the Tire Industry Association promotes tire safety through advocacy and education to the industry including: manufacture, sales, repair, service and recycling. Seek a full-service tire dealer who carries a wide variety of tire types and brands and asks about the type of driving you normally do.
  • Move your car to a safe location.
  • Turn on your car’s safety lights, apply the parking brakes and remove the hubcap if there is one.
  • Loosen the lug nuts with a lug wrench (but do not remove them), raise the vehicle with a jack and then fully remove the lugnuts.
  • Remove the flat tire and replace it with the spare tire.
  • Tighten the lug nuts by hand, lower the car and then tighten them fully with the lug wrench.

Just a moment...
