Fort Funston
Every time we visit San Francisco we make sure to stop at Fort Funston. It is the perfect place to sit and watch the ocean. My favorite is when the hang gliders are there. So beautiful.

Japanese Tea Garden
The Japanese Tea Garden is located in the Golden Gate Park. It was created for the 1894 World's Fair as a Japanese village. Today it's peaceful and beautiful and well worth a visit.

Had a drink and they took it away before I could finish it. Over it we were next door the drinks were good wish I could have finished it. Fun for the ambience but staff was into girls

Tiki Haven
Gotta love a good tiki bar. Fun atmosphere, decorative drinks and an upbeat environment. I'm a sucker for a drink with an umbrella. Nice bartenders too.

I preferred the old location but I got the educators discount so I can't complain. It's always a good time exploring the exhibits and learning new things. Fun for kids!

Go early, as this place is turns into a madhouse later in the day. There are so many hands-on exhibits (all science-based) for kids to interact with. Conveniently located near the Ferry building if you want to eat there after.

Cable Cars
The cable cars are nice to ride just to say you did it. There are better ways to get around town that are much cheaper.

A family can easily spend an entire day getting engrossed in all the hands on exhibits. We have visited the Exporitorium several times over the years and our teen children can still always find something new and exciting. We love the new location on the pier. The only wish I have for this place is that customers have access to hand wipes or sanitizer. The place screams germs as by the nature of the museum, everyone is invited to touch and interact with the exhibits! :)
