Looks like I'm not the only one with a Rockstar Parking horror story. Valet stole brand new iPads from a backpack in my back seat. Which means he was actively looking through my stuff for stuff to steal. He was the only person who had access to my car, and he even replaced the backpack when he was done, a normal theif would have just swiped the backpack and ran. I called the slimy owner and asked him to please review his camera system, he said a police report was required before he could even look into it, so I filed one and am now waiting for a report number. This isn't a one off thing, sounds like everyone else says they are a nightmare to deal with too.
Another case of a once great establishment ruined by one terrible employee...I've been going to Poppa Opps for over 30 years since it rented video tapes. In this time I have spent literally thousands of dollars on movie rentals, large volume copy jobs, Fed Ex and even some faxes when my machine was not working. During this time customer service was outstanding - one nice young lady who worked during the day , I think her name was Debbie, was always very upbeat, polite, helpful and even recommended good movies. I was happy with my little local rental place until recently.Unfortunately, they now have a terrible, incompetent, rude employee named Daniel. To put it mildly the guy is unprofessional to the point of being a joke. He's abusive to his customers, dishonest and acts as if he is the owner.In addition to witnessing his laziness with customers first hand ( a lady had to ask him three times for the location of a DVD until he finally ended his PERSONAL phone call and helped her) I have been a victim of his "customer service" personally. This guy has on more than one occasion lied about store policy - which I later verified with one of the owners, often does not finish with one customer before jumping over to the next -maybe daniel thinks sloppy incomplete service is acceptable or maybe that is just his best feeble attempt and argues his incorrect views instead of just solving a problem. The guy is single handedly the most obnoxious person I have ever encountered on the face of the Earth -0 he makes waiters at the Cafe des Connards look like Rachel Ray. I complained to management who were not surprised by my comments and at the time of our conversation indicated that certain changes will be made. If these changes were personnel changes or just a re-training of those employees who fall below any standard of customer service is unclear since it seems that nothing has changed in the last six months. As a matter of fact it has only gotten worse. Since I complained daniel has now decided to take his unprofessional behavior to a personal level and refuse to service a paying customer who has done business with Poppa Opps since before he was born. Obviously business is bad since the store which until recently had occupied three storefronts is down to one. I'm sure daniel can help that number become zero. It is sad to see a business that has been a local institution sink to the level of Poppa Opps. Unless you like a dishonest, rude staff I'd rent somewhere else or just go digital. I'll miss the interaction and recommendations of some of the staff but I will not miss the impolite, unfit, ignorant employee named daniel.Add it all up and you have one arrogant, unproductive rotten apple spoiling the entire barrel.
