Third Rail
$10 gets you an 8 oz beer, a shot, and some delicious jerky! All three are of your choosing from the 4 options listed for this wonderful combo. If you don't want that, well... You crazy! .....JK (: Cocktails look good here and are about $12 each. There's some reasonably priced beer as well. Got the Evil Twin (and to avoid confusion, it's a citrus mezcal cocktail, NOT the beer. I thought it was a beer at first glance too) and it looks very pretty, but boy, it can totally sneak up on you. It tastes pleasant and ends with just a hint of mezcal. I can drink this all night and be a happy guy!!!Chill space too. Will definitely come back whenever I'm in that neighborhood.

Pa'ina Lounge and Restaurant
A fun place with great Polynesian type drinks - much variety and wonderful pupus - a whole assortment of different pokes, an outstanding steak tartare ( though the serving is quite small ), good gyoza, tasty kimchi rice to which you can add spam for $.99 more, lamb or kobe beef sliders, lamb chops, lots of other choices. I'm told that there will be Hawaiian music and dancers in the future, other live entertainment. There is a nice wine and sake list, a good choice of beers. Parking in Japantown can be a bit of a problem....I'd like to see lomilomi salmon on the menu and I didn't see desserts...come on, you've got to have ONE!

The Wild Side West
real cozy place with LIVE MUSIC nights (check web or call for schedule). they even have a piano & guitar on site, or bring your own! friendly bar tenders (eye candy!) & great service! there's even a pool table, so get some quarters & let's play! the un-live (piped in) music is awesome too! I was rocking out to the Cure (Lulabye), Concrete Blonde (Bloodletting/Vampire) just to name a few! had a really nice time, bet you will too! Susan Dezirey

Knockout
Well, it is the Mission so you'll see hipsters everywhere. But unlike places like this in Los, these kids dance and have fun. Me crew went there on a Northern Soul night and it was cracking good time. Pints were cheap and it was bloody packed. Nevertheless, we had a laugh on the dancefloor and chatted up some of the locals. Mental! Overall, a lovely popular pub in the heart of the Mission.

Bar Fluxus
I went to Anne Marie for help getting my pelvic floor back in shape after having my daughter. I always felt completely comfortable with her and in the office in general. They work really hard to make your experience easy and pleasant. The office even feels more like a spa than a physical therapy office!

R & G Lounge
The fried crabs were so packed with flavour, we were reeling in our chairs. Great sauteed beef, peking duck and bok choi dishes. It's a little expensive here but it's worth the wait too. Known for the crabs! I'm going back there for the fish next time.

Mister Bing's
The long curved bar is great and the drinks are strong. This small bar is a wonderful antidote to the trendy clubs. You can go in here, have a drink and just relax. Great kooky crowd and the bartenders are usually just as colourful.

Argus Lounge
Great music and back room with a L shaped couch. If you're a pool player, you're in luck. Argus has great beer specials. Wonderful music too. The loo is a bit dirty but it's the Mission so live a little.

Sugar Lounge
The food that they serve in here is certainly one of the best around the area. I could go back in here twice a week and still get the same quality of service, I just love the consistency in here.

Just a moment...
