We recommned you NOT to go this restaurant if you want to have average service, especially for payment. They refused my credit card payment due to the reason ""it's too late"" at 9PM. Also they added 20% service charge automatically and could not allow us to reduce it. When I confirmed an unclear item on the bill, a waitress got angry. I'm afraid the price of seasonal price item was doubled of the price we were told.(maybe I misunderstood and no evidence....) We could not order three of five items which are on menu without clear reason. Their custom service was the worst I have ever experienced.

I've been to Pearl City at least 5 times, and have always been impressed by the very high quality of the dim sum -- as good as Ton Kiang and about half the price. Never had a problem with the service either -- I mean, come on, it's dim sum for crying out loud. What do you expect?

If you eat here, double-check your itemized bill and then your credit card statement. The restaurant knew we were in a hurry (we ran an hour late due to their lousy service) and added an additional 18% to our bill. When I asked what the charge was for, the woman said ""Service charge"" - then grabbed back my credit card receipt and redid it so that the base price was the real charge, then WROTE IN THE TIP FOR ME before handing it back. Our party of four - two Taiwanese and two Caucasians - had to march up to the counter to get refills on our tea or to get the bill, after waiting a half hour for each. Their ""cashew chicken"" is chicken fried in vinegar and soy sauce, with some barely cooked cashews dropped on top.
