First response was on. 3/20/17 @ 7:55 a.m. My 2003 Honda Civic LX was purchased at SF Honda on 3/15/2003. Customer relationship of 13 yrs 6 months. All receipts total SF Honda $21,006. Total mileage on car: 35,000.REQUIRED REPAIR & SERVICE: Replace Clutch & Flywheel, Replace Hosing & Casing Power Steering, Alignment, New Battery & Enclosure Case, & Plastic Pieces for Hood Lift. Guesstimate $3020.00 1. Termination email & text Sat. 3/18/17 7:51 pm To: 1st SF Honda Service Consultant & Vehicle Exchange Program: Due to the lack of any responses to my emails & texts, I do not think, it is in my best interests to continue w/ GUESSTIMATE $3020 Service Repair on my 2003 Honda. I am always a bit weary around getting service done on my vehicle that is outside the usual oil change and tire rotation. I brought my 2007 Prius in for electrical issues. I was thinking they were going to charge a ton of money and not be able to correct the problem. They not only fixed the problem, the price was more than reasonable. The only complaint I have is that they did not call me to give me an update (they had my car over night). I called them three times before they could let me know that the car was fixed and that I could return my rental and pick my car up. A week later, my car is still working properly and I am not having any of the issues that had me bring my car in for service. If it wasn't for the lack in communication/update on my car it would have been a 5 star experience.

I meet with Edwin and Albert to purchase a RAV Hybrid for my wife. The service was excellent. Paperwork was done quickly. Delivery promised the next day (vehicle was brought in from another dealer), and it was on time, cleaned, full tank. All the equipment and use was explained to my wife, thank you. I usually go to the dealer where we bought the car (Prius v)--Daly City--, but the wait to have a recall fixed was too long, so I scheduled much sooner at the Geary dealer. The line to get into the shop (out onto 4th Ave.) was the only problem (arrived at 9:58 for 10 am appt--maybe I would come sooner next time). Otherwise, the service was efficient, done exactly when they promised and the guy helping me was super nice and patient.

Tips & Advices
Depending on the part and its overall quality, a good amount of money can be saved by purchasing aftermarket parts versus OEM parts. But aftermarket parts that are low in price might also be lower in quality and could do more harm than good to your car, or they may need to be replaced more frequently than a more expensive counterpart. This could lead to saving some money in the short term, but spending more than anticipated in the long term.
The type of tires being purchased is the most significant determinant of their price. SUV tires are more costly than average car tires. And high-performance tires are more costly than economy grade tires. On average, standard tires for an average-sized vehicle are around $100 per tire. Standard tires for an SUV are around $150 and pick-up truck tires are about $200 on average. Some dealers offer discounts if purchasing more than one tire.
Car inspections typically take about an hour. However the wait time can be longer depending on how busy the shop is. Call ahead for an appointment to avoid long wait times.
Depending on the manufacturer, certain aftermarket parts can be just as reliable as Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts. But one item within a vehicle, like oil filters for instance, could have multiple manufacturers and there could be inconsistencies in quality among them.
Costs of replacing a windshield can vary greatly depending on a variety of factors:
  • Vehicle make and model
  • How much of the cost insurance will cover
  • Whether the windshield installers come to your location or you bring the vehicle to them
  • Standard service costs of the windshield installers
Generally, newer and higher-end vehicles cost more to have their windshields replaced because certain manufacturers use modified or proprietary glass types.
