My Dad, Dan Harrington worked here when he was younger and brought me to Bravo since I can remember. I might have moved away from San Fran, but the taste of Bravo Pizza always lingers in my mind. Not only do they have the best pizza (without all the uptight and ""frilly"" qualities of our more modern take on pizzas), but they also have an amazing wait staff and manager! Pete is the real deal, he gets down and dirty and never count out the hard working cooks. Make sure to go to this place when you get a chance! P.S. (their ranch is also one of my favorites).

This is a pretty chic place to get the tacos that you are craving for so long. I wouldn’t say that it is a must try place but it is enough to take that Mexican munching out in your head.

A friend of mine had a Christmas party at the Gold Mirror in December. We all shared our dishes with eachother and I can't say that I disliked any! The prime rib was perfection and the veal picatta was excellent. The waiters and busboys were very attentive. We even received a visit from one of the Chefs to our table. The DiGrande family works tirelessly to keep this place at a level of perfection, always. I will definitely be back!

Always satisfied with the good food, although long waits on Friday night sometimes when you have no reservation. Parking isn't always easy too so I just order take out and it is always great. They never scrimp just because it's for to go.

If you go for the 1st time - must try the pizza. Then you'll see the delicious Brazilian dishes and wonder why you didn't order one of those. Please try a different pizza - there are many topping options - pesto, mushroom and garlic seem to be a really good combination!! Can't beat it - go and try for yourselves (they even deliver too!)

This is a wonderful Caffe. The food is great, their people provide timely service and the surroundings are warm and inviting. Given our demanding schedules, my wife and I eat out approximately 4-5 days a week...at least 1-2 times at Spiazzo Caffe. Their menu is diverse and offers many choices. If you are in the mood for flavorable pasta, salads, pizza, meat or fish dishes, this is the Caffe for you. We love it!!!

We happened upon Piazza Pellegrini after a long bike ride and decided to grab dinner. Sat on the street for great big city atmosphere. Server was prompt, friendly and very accommodating to our culinary peculiarities. Food was exceptional, hot and perfectly presented. Veal was most tender ever and shrimp/scallops were out of this world. Great prices/service. Definitely on our list when visiting San Francisco.

My girlfriend lives in North Beach and we have definitely ventured out to test the waters in terms of italian restaurants, but it wasn't until we found Vicoletto where we truly experienced some of the best food in the whole area. Nestled on Green St. next to other bars and restaurants, this restaurant is a hidden gem in an area with too many mediocre ""touristy"" italian restaurants. The menu AND wine list is all reasonably priced and certainly affordable. \r We got the tortellini with prociutto, which was one of the best tasting dishes I've had. Everything was homemade and authentic. They even brought us a free appetizer of goat cheese with some sort of eggplant/pepper salsa that was very good. \r The service was extremely friendly and offered up great suggestions. I highly recommend Vicoletto for dates and other casual dining you might partake in. It is above and beyond better than 95% of the italian restaurants in the area.

We had passed the front door of this restaurant several times while walking back and forth in the Financial District. We finally decided to give it a try, and it was one of the highlights of our San Francisco trip. The staff was warm and attentive. The wine was excellent. The salad was great. The pasta was excellent. The coffee and dessert were wonderful. I don't think you can go wrong with anything that you order on the menu. The chef even made a special dish for one of our group, and it was fabulous as well. You owe it to yourself to find this place and try it. You'll fall in love with Italian food all over again.

Mescolanza is a small, intimate, little, neighborhood, mom-and-pop restaurant that serves Italian food located on Clement Street between 23rd and 24th Avenues. It's discreetly tucked under a small pink awning. It's my favorite restaurant in my neighborhood and I've been going there for 20 years! Please note, parking on the Clement Street corridor is difficult (almost as bad as North Beach) but there is a parking lot directly across the street from the restaurant (as Martha Stewart would say, "It's a good thing!"). This restaurant is small and seats only 49 patrons at one time so be sure to make reservations. My favorite appetizers are the Carpaccio and Bruschetta. The plate of Carpaccio is presented with extremely thinly sliced beef draped on the plate. There are small mounds of capers, chopped red onions, shaved Parmesan cheese, and mustard paste. Mix all the ingredients and enjoy! The Bruschetta is toasted french bread topped with a delicious sprinkling of chopped Roma tomatoes mixed with fresh basil, garlic, olive oil, and sea salt. In this day and age of almost tasteless tomatoes (inbreeding is never a good thing), the tomatoes in this dish are ripe, packed full of flavor, and fill your mouth with a burst of flavor. The Pear Pizza (Yeah, I know, it sounds kind of strange but darling, it's divine intervention on a plate.) You have got to try this! The Osso Bucco was excellent. The meat was very tender and flavorful in its rich burgundy-like sauce. I loved the vegetables and that's saying something for a meat eater like me. The vegetables were carrots, zucchini, and yellow squash done just right in that perfect combination of buttery, tender and crunchy at the same time. We had a veal chop off the "Specials Menu" that was sauteed in its own juices with a blend of slow-cooked root vegetables surrounding it. It came with silky, creamy mashed potatoes that had a hint of garlic flavor and a serving of the vegetable combination I spoke of earlier. Once again, excellent! We had the creme caramel, the tiramisu and the chocolate flan with amaretto and crushed amaretti cookies. The tiramisu and creme caramel were as expected, delicious. That chocolate flan was EXCEPTIONAL! Sinfully, silky smooth texture on a bed of crushed cookies with the hint of amaretto flavors. While we ate all the desserts, the chocolate flan won hands down.

We make it to the city 4 or 5 times a year and Tomasso's is always a must! Everything is excellent but the pizza and the service are above and beyond, the best I've had on the west coast I have been there dozens of times and I have always left pleased. Expect a wait but you will find it worthy..

I love little mom and pop restaurants, and this little gem is in that category of the few still out there in the city.\r From the cute waiters, to the old-world decor, and ofcourse the delicious food, this little Trattoria is still run by the ""Family"". The owner is back there tossing Pizzas, and the wife is in the kitchen creating homestyle southern Italian cooking at its best. Meanwhile, the son is running the dining room with his very good looking and charming wait staff. I love this place!

A friend recommended that my husband and I go to Cafe Tiramisu for our anniversary, and we were more than pleasantly surprised. This jewel of a dining experience is tucked in an alley near SF's financial district, and features a palette-pleasing array of classic and not so classic Italian dishes. The service is attentive, yet not intrusive, and the wine list is reason to come back every week. I really can't say enough about this wonderful place. I look forward to returning very, very soon.

This is a great restaurant to visit. We felt like locals, even though we were visiting from NJ! Very crowded, small seating areas, but all part of the charm. We took the cable car and it was right there on the corner. Food was excellent, highly recommend!!

I love trying new restaurants and as I am in the entertainment industry I have that opportunity often. But, I always come back to Ristorante Milano. New restaurant scenes come and go, as do hot musicians. Since I have been working with the best for a long time I know what makes for longevity. It is their talent and delivery... for Ristorante Milano it is the food and service. Everything I order there is fresh and their fish is never farm raised. The high quality of the ingredients: the cheeses, their pasta made fresh daily, their heavenly foccacia brought to the table, they have been doing this for years, they know what they are doing! I brought a band in before their show for an early dinner and we had the gnocchi, seafood polenta, fettucine with a Milanese sauce and a bottle of Barolo. We had a great discussion with the owner about the Blues shows he used to do in Italy. Another woman working there is a classically trained singer, the other waiter was a southern Italian, totally friendly. Their personalities added to total experience. The staff knows me, but it was the first time for the band members there and they loved it.\r Yeah, it's good to try something new....but come back to the best.\r

No swankeir place to eat kobe sliders and mac and cheese. The service was good and the place is fun. The ambience is more LA than SF which is a nice change. We went with a group of people to happy hour and will definitely return. It helps also that it is in my neighborhood.

We hosted a wedding celebration dinner in the Barolo room here. The room was so beautiful and private. The staff could not have been more friendly, helpful or fun. The food was exceptional. The steak was so tender and delicious and the scallops were the best any of our guests had ever had. I highly recommend Perbacco for your next group dining experience. Top notch!

Our group ate at this restaurant because of a recommendation we received from a North Beach local and we were not disappointed! The service was amazing and prices were very reasonable. There are many overpriced Italian restaurants in this neighborhood, but US Restaurant is not one of those. Their homemade pasta and lasagna was the best I ever had! If you don't see something you like on their extensive menu, you can create your own dish (as one person in our group did) and they will happily make it for you. I highly recommend this restaurant for a delicious and authentic Italian meal!
