Upon arrival, I was greeted by a friendly receptionist. The ambience was great--dark, cool, and colorful. As I was brought to my room, I noticed how cozy it was. After disrobing and settling into the bed, my masseuse came in and went to work. Personally, I enjoy a deeper kind of massage. I don't fare well with a simple rub down, so I was very glad when the woman got to work. She started out with a plain old head-to-toe massage, and then transitioned to a back walking routine. That was my favorite part. The woman then proceeded to use her knees to really knead those knots out of my trouble spots, which I particularly enjoyed. This was followed by another very relaxing oil massage. After a quick hot towel massage, I was given the cup treatment. Given that it was my first time, I was not sure what to expect. The first cup caught me a little off-guard, but once the whole set was applied, it felt very relaxing. Five or so minutes later, they were taken off, and the masseuse explained the toxin removal process. My right side got it the best, which, according to the masseuse, was the main source of toxins. I'm just glad I got it done!In conclusion, if you are in the Mira Mesa area and are looking for a clean, respectable location to get a massage, I would highly recommend visiting Angel Massage. Quality business, quality massages.
Watch out, you'll get burned in more ways than one! Terrible experience! There was barely any pressure applied, it felt like he was just rubbing lotion on my body. It was very uncomfortable. I asked him to increase the pressure and he began to just tug on my skin. He also had long nails that would scratch me when he attempted to knead the muscles. The female doing my husband's massage kept talking with my masseuse making it very hard to relax. Then when it was time for my cupping, he caught the bed on fire right next to my right shoulder and ear! I was so afraid when I got up my hair was going to be burned as well. I could not move because all of the cups were on my back already. Most of the cups were barely applied and kept popping off. The female masseuse had to come over and replace the ones that would fall off. Then the entire time I was laying with the cups, the two of them keep scratching at the burned area and ripping pieces of the fabric. They continued to talk, as well, the people in the next room were very loud. We had to pay up front, which is fine, however when we went to leave the woman forced us to leave gratuity. When we tried to politely decline because we were not satisfied with our experience she took a framed statement that was sitting on the counter explaining how tipping is expected and waved it at my husband. I am a very generous tipper, however I paid for a service and did not feel like this particular experience warranted extra. He caved and said $20, she said that they worked for almost 2 hrs on us and "[we] should be grateful"! It was 1 1/2 hours due to the cupping but that was a service that we paid for. She then looked at me and asked how much I wanted to leave, I then explained why I did not feel the tip was deserved. She would not give my husband's credit card back until I agreed to leave a $10 tip to the man that nearly caught me one fire!
