PHW stands behind what they sell. In 2003 I had a customer who I sold a product to for the exterior of his house called Tex-Cote. It was installed in 1 week, and he was very satisfied. Jump forward to 2010- He was contacted by PHW to ask about doing other home improvements, he agreed to meet regarding his kitchen. Upon my arrival I asked him how Tex-Cote was holding up. He said "he was very happy with it, however ther was a small crack forming at the base of his wall". I lookat at it and there was a small crack and the color had shockingly really faded, not just there but all over. I told him I would get the service tech out to fix the crack, and then spoke with him about the kitchen. He was so happy with PHW, he ordered a new kitcken to be built. The next day I spoke with Will Redfield about the fade issue and was extremely concerned that all the jobs I sold years prior we're going bad. Will very casually explained that every product has a failure rate. I just happened to stumble opon one such issue. Will then asked me to go back to Ken and have him pick any color he would like his house to be, PHW was going to (at their expense) re-do the job. My client never actually complained about the fade, yet PHW was going to re-do it? I know, it sounds too good to be true. All companies wait for a complaint before acting. Some deny it a few times at first, or try to up sell the job to recoup some of the costs, but not in this case! The color was picked and the work was done. He was happily surprised we did what we did, and so was I. Now when I walk into a prospective customers home I know this company is the BEST BET for them and will stand behind what I sell and they install. I am a believer beyond belief. I have since had PHW install Tex-Cote on my house. If the company will put their money where their mouth is, so would I. Thank you Pacific Homeworks for not only being a good company, but for helping me support my family by giving me the success needed to do so, for many years now.
Over the summer we decided to start replacing our old windows with new energy efficient windows. A sales associate stopped by and gave his sales pitch. As a science teacher I was greatly impressed with the demonstration with the heat lamp and radiometer to show how well they block out the heat. With the price of the windows, we were only able to complete the windows along the front of the house, and a second window in the living room. It took less than a day for two men to come to our house and install 4 windows. Due to the age of the old windows, the workers had to cut up the glass to get them out. Although the process was messy, the men made sure to have drop cloths down and to clean up after themselves. Even with just having the windows that face the sun replaced, already we were able to tell a huge difference. Our kitchen and living room where the windows were installed says cooler (which is helpful in the summer time) and the noise from outside has greatly reduced. The noise reduction is a big thing when you have neighbors who likes to play their music louder than necessary. We are now in the process of installing the last window in our living room to finish off the room (it looks a little silly have one window different than the other two!) as well as replacing the french doors in our office. I am really excited to see what the french doors will look like, as well as the office staying cooler with an energy efficient door.I wish we had the money to complete the whole house all at once, but am very thankful that Pacific Homeworks are willing to work with us to install a couple windows at a time. Eventually we will have the whole house completed, and am happy that we are dealing with a company willing to work with us so we can instal the windows a few at a time instead of requiring us to complete the project all at once.
Our experience with Pacific Homeworks began with a simple phone call to set the appointment. My husband and I have two disabled children, are very busy during the week, and were happy that Pacific Homeworks was willing to set an appointment on the weekend. The sales agent spent quite a bit of time with us, answering our many questions, resolving our concerns, and ultimately obtaining financing for our roof repair. The extensive repairs that were required for our roof "tear down" began on schedule and to our surprise, took only one week to complete. The workers were courteous, friendly and very willing to adjust things to accommodate our family's special needs. This was important for my husband and I, as we have an autistic child whom could not tolerate the noise and activity we feared would be involved in roof repair. The team of roofers whom worked on our home took extra steps to make their work less of an invasion upon our son's life. Our autistic child had no complaints and even expressed how nice the workmen were. My husband and I were very happy with the high quality end result. Our once disheveled concrete tiles, dilapidated and improperly installed flashing, and water damaged eaves, in just one week, was transformed into a beautifully structured roof which is withstanding rain with ease, as it is meant to. We are planning to remodel one of our bathrooms and we feel very confident that we will be eliciting the help of Pacific Homeworks in the very near future! From the first appointment, where many options for repair were presented, through to the last inspection by the contractor, Pacific Homeworks has impressed my husband and I with their excellent customer service as well as their high quality performance. THANK YOU Pacific Homeworks!!!
We recently had some windows replaced by these folks. The original sales people were competent and seemed to know their products well. We took a chance despite noticing some negative reviews. I've had contract work before so was aware of possible pitfalls. However, these guys didn't let us down. They came when they said they would show up - they worked diligently on the project and cleaned up every last piece of debris when done. It was obvious they knew what they were doing with the installation and even explained a few things that had caused our problems with the previous window installation. The stucco person had to return a couple of times and someone called from the office almost daily to follow up on if he had come or not, and if we were pleased with the work when done. They already had their money, so their follow up was impressive. Great customer service, and the windows are everything the sales team promised - super insulators even in direct sun for hours. Yay! My only issue was a very pushy sales guy who called me once, after the work was complete, to try to line up more work. I called the main office to complain, and was immediately forwarded to someone in management. The following day another person called to follow up, wanting to know the details of my complaint so that they can speak with the salesman and make appropriate changes in their approach. I'm all about quality control and good communication, and they seem to have a good handle on theirs. I won't hesitate to ask for bids on future work that we'll be needing to have done. It appears their products are quality and I feel good about their workmanship and qualified personnel. I think they actually have it really together there.
I hired Pacific Homeworks to install a roof over my Patio in Ramona California. It gets very hot in the summer, and I wanted a high quality roof with ceiling lights so we can use the patio as living space year round. The roof and supporting structures are lovely, and I have got compliments from my neighbors about how pretty the new roof is, and how it looks so professional. They asked for the company name and phone number, so I guess they really did like it. The workmen were professional, efficient, and most courteous. They were actually really nice people. Best of all, the temperature is comfortable on my patio now, even with the hot sun we get here in Ramona. The roof is insulated and the cooling effect is awesome. I also had them replace my glass sliding door to the patio and that work was excellent. The difference in appearance of my house is amazing, and most days we no longer have to use the air conditioner. The workmen and salesman also gave me hints for things I can do myself to improve the house even more. They were really concerned that everything was done to my satisfaction, and they followed through on all promises. I am going to use Pacific Homeworks for other projects we have in mind.
I can compliment the staff and work crew here who were responsible in applying a new Coolwall Super Cote exterior on our home. The sales team Dan and Mike took extended time to explain the process to answer our myriad of questions. The crew who performed the work, Eleseo and Ivan were thoroughly knowledgeable, professional and friendly. They performed their tasks almost non-stop over the days it took to complete the job. And they took time to answer even more questions and kept me informed while explaining their techniques. Neighbors and passer-bys have complimented the new look of our home. It truly is a stand out in our College area. When homeowners like use invest in this kind of home improvement, it is an accolade to their team that we, as homeowners, and our neighbors, express their approval of our team work. We couldn't be more pleased with the quality of Eleseo and Ivan's work. They performed perfectly on the representation that Dan and MIke gave us. This has been a job well done. So I would recommend for those of you out there looking for some home improvement help to give Pacific Homeworks a call and check it out for yourself.
I had my bathroom remodeled through Envision Design. They removed my bathtub liner and replaced it with a stand-up shower. They installed tile on the floor and wall and a new vanity. The owner Scott that I worked with told me the process would take a week to 8 days. It took almost seven weeks. My plumber did a few things wrong caused most of the delays and had to fix them. I had to take a lot more days off of work to deal with the changes than I had anticipated. I should have let Envision Design hire the plumber and kept out of the process. Instead, I caused most of the delay. The tile guy made some mistakes; I had spoken with the project manager, and they sent him back out to fix the issues. My project manager did an excellent job, and the subcontractors were good. The electrical contractor was excellent, though. Looking back I would not have hired the plumber which caused a significant delay overall they did a bang up a great job; my bathroom looks amazing and modern, never thought I would enjoy going to the bathroom as much as I do now.
04/08/2016Bison Constructors - Termite Damage Repair
I recently moved into a new house and built out a flat for my mother on the ground level. I needed my Mom to have more outdoor space and also more shade. Also, I determined that the front of the house had a lot of wood and stucco damage from the sun over the years. Jason built a fantastic deck for my Mom, hung the Shade Sails that I purchased just as I asked him to do, and did an excellent job of repairing the fascia of my new home- gutters, flower bed issues, stucco, painting, stair repairs, etc. Towards the end of the project I asked him if he had time to build a fairly wide fence off the deck and he was able to incorporate this into the design we worked out together and everything came together wonderfully and within the timeframe that he told me he'd be finished. He showed up on time (a rarity I've found with so many contractors) and made good progress every day. Tell him what you want to build and he will build it! He doesn't take short cuts and he will not disappoint!
12/04/2016Bison Constructors - Termite Damage Repair
We hired Bison Constructors initially to help repair some termite damage in the walls and bottom plates of our garage. Jason arrived promptly, was very friendly, and gave an honest assessment of what needed to be done. We found his rates and pricing to be fair given the fine quality of work. He didn't try to upsell any extra work, but was willing to provide quotes for additional work upon request. After the wall repairs, we hired Bison again to install a steel beam in our garage so we could remove a post holding up the roof. While Bison advertises termite repair, Jason is very knowledgeable in general construction. Jason gave us a fair, price, showed up when he said he would, and did a great job completing the install. I tend to ask a lot of questions and he had no problem answering them.We will be working with Bison again for our next project and look forward to the same great level of service that we have received so far.
