Health Savings Associates Insurance
Health Savings Associates really impressed me. I grew up here in San Diego, moved to Hawaii and have now moved back. I was thankful that a friend referred me to Health Savings because after living in a place where health insurance isn't an *issue* I didn't know where to start. The broker I spoke with was very honest. She explained to me the pros and cons of group and individual insurance (we have a small business with no employees) and we finally decided to apply for insurance individually, because we're healthy and it would be much less costly. Her honesty really put me at ease and let me know that she was focused on my well-being, not my wallet. My broker ran multiple quotes which she emailed me, and even came to our house to go over all of our options and thoroughly explained each plan: why one plan would cost more than the other, the difference between a deductible and an out of pocket maximum- the whole 9 yards. She even did a quick *exposure analysis* for us to help us make a final decision. After about 2 hours of learning how my insurance works (interesting stuff, to me at least), I was confident in my decision and happy with the coverage I was purchasing for myself and my family. My broker even helped me realize that I didn't need insurance so immediately, because (I had no idea) my former emloyer's benefits wouldnt end until the end of this month. I would absolutely recommend Health Savings Associates. They're people looking out for people- doesn't get much better than that.

Urban Solace
This is THE thing I miss about living in San Diego... We used to live down the street from this amazing little eatery and have been there probably 50 times in the past 4 years. We have NEVER been disappointed. From the incredible wine and beer selection to the AMAZING mac and cheese, I don't think I've ever had a meal there that I haven't loved! I love their commitment to sustainable food, as well as fresh, local produce. With a seasonally changing menu, I always look for something new to try, but I have to say if you are into it, GET THE MEATLOAF. It is the one thing (besides the mac and cheese) that I look for EVERY time we go. It's moist, and delicious and the lamb pairs incredibly well with the sweetness of the figs... it's not your Momma's Meatloaf, but it sure is DAMN good. Top off that meatloaf with the salted caramel pot de creme and you will need to be rolled out the door, pleasantly stuffed!

Pacific Trade Insurance Agency
I cannot imagine anyone in that company being even remotely rude. I am so absolutely overly impressed and amazed at the service this company gave me. From day one every single person that i spoke to was professional, friendly, patient and seriously went out of the way to take care of any concerns that i had. Insurance is not a joke and could be pretty daunting at times but Mike and his team make a very big point to address their clientele with kindness and patience. There was no pushiness whatsoever in making any decisions at any stage of the game. Only follow ups and excellent service. There is a very special team spirit that the staff possess. Mike gave me so many quotes, with so many options and was so patient. If the service was half as good i would still have given this company five stars. So happy with the product i bought and am looking forward to many fruitful years ahead!

Scripps Chiropractic & Functional Medicine
If you only do one thing for yourself, make it Scripps Chiropractic & Functional Medicine! The term "miracle worker" is an understatement. I take my whole family here, including my mother who has severe scoliosis. After coming here to see Dr. Tay, Dr. Lawson and all the amazing massage therapists, she can walk 4 blocks by herself without a walker or wheelchair!! Just a year ago, she was facing back surgery and barely could walk to the bathroom without help. Moreover, they care about you, know who you are, and what your specific body needs are. Plus they take insurance and can work with you on a payment plan. This is the best thing I have ever done for myself and my family. Now, one by one, my friends are coming too!

Scripps Chiropractic & Functional Medicine
I have been going to Scripps Chiropractic for 3 plus years. They truly are doing amazing work. I'm in my 40's and still able to compete in Jiu Jitsu, and do pretty intense work outs which I was not able to do before meeting these amazing pe...ople. My aches and pains are taken care of when I get them, and would suggest anyone, whether you are in to sports or not. Try them out, they truly care about your well being. I love it, as I do not like taking pain medications, and with the great staff and Doctors at Scripps Chiropractic I no longer have to. So, if you want to get to a pain free zone. give them a call.

Health Savings Associates Insurance
WOW! I contacted them because I am concerned about how Health Care Reform is going to affect my business. I heard these guys on George Chamberlin's show talking about it, and they invited listeners to call them if they had any questions. So I did. And I have to tell you, they are amazing experts at helping small businesses like mine understand what is coming my way and how to protect myself starting now and going into 2014. I switched to them right away, and they were also able to help me save money on my health insurance! I highly, highly recommend Health Savings Associates to everyone. Thanks

Lisa Keith - State Farm Insurance Agent
Getting an insurance quote has always been confusing. I think that auto insurance in general is confusing. I called the San Diego, Lisa Keith office and the staff was very helpful in explaining what State Farm has to offer vs other companies out there. They explained all the coverages since no one had ever done that for me. They made my experence the best is has ever been in regards to insurance. When I went into the office to pick up the ID cards they gave me a bunch of free stuff. I love free stuff. Thank you so very much. All of you are so wonderful.

The Broken Yolk
We are a ladies lunch group meeting each Wednesday. This week The Broken Yolk at Carmel Mountain got the nod. Brian was our server who explained the menu and accepted our coupon with his friendly smile. He brought refills of soft drinks regularly. Everyone's choices hit the mark. 3 ladies ordered eggs benedict. Another lady enjoyed a club sandwich. I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich with ranch dressing, a lunch special. We enjoyed our lunch so much we are returning next week to try a different menu selection!

Scripps Chiropractic & Functional Medicine
Dear Readers, since January 2012 my right arm started hurting again from an old injury I got from work. Scripps Chiropractic came to a health fair where I work and offered me a free massage. I gladly accepted. Soon after they assessed me and started treatment right away. I can honestly say, I am pain free and very pleased. The clinic has a warm family environment. The doctors and workers are kind and sweet. I would recommend Scripps Chiropractic to everybody.
Tips & Advices
Insurance agents will often try to "upsell" on various extra products that may be useful for certain people, but are generally excessive for the average consumer. Stick with basic plans that cover as much as you need without any additional costs. For example, if the annual cost of your auto insurance is 10 percent or more of the total value of your car, drop all but the most essential coverage. This is especially applicable if the car you drive is older and could be replaced with savings. Otherwise, you are paying for insurance that will never actually benefit you in the event of a serious crash.
Yes. Even after you've chosen a plan and started paying into it, consider looking around again when it comes time to renew the policy. Consider using an independent agent when searching for a new insurance policy. While traditional agents can still find a good deal, independent agents can choose from a variety of providers and tailor your coverage to your specific needs. The Internet has also made comparison shopping easy. Potential customers can often get free quotes online very quickly.
Send your insurer a claim form for each beneficiary in the plan, as well as a certified copy of the policyholder's death certificate. With the proper information, life insurance claims are generally straightforward. Problems may arise if the policyholder has died within two years of opening the policy. In this case, an attorney may be needed to settle the claim.
In the case of damage, take pictures of the affected area as soon as any safety or health emergencies are resolved. Take note of what happened and all the relevant circumstances and report to your insurer as soon as possible. If any of your possessions were damaged, use an inventory of your important assets and make note of this in the claim. Once an adjuster has made their own report, review it for accuracy.
If you're involved in an accident, you need to call the police right away and have them document the situation. You can file a claim upon obtaining the police report. It's also a good idea, if possible, to take your own notes to record: what happened before the accident, the date and time, traffic signs in the area and road conditions. Also get the other driver's name, address, license plate number, and insurance information. Even photos taken with a cell phone camera can help the claims process. Once you have this documentation, call your insurance company right away.

Just a moment...
