Hello everybody, my name is Albert, I am lead tech and Manager at A to Z auto Repair, and I want to thank all those honest customers that have entrusted me with the care of their vehicles, like Mr. Mike says, I am very friendly, he says we are lazy, even though we started to work on his car the same day even when he didn't have an appointment, and I called him about four times throughout the process to explain the problems with the vehicle, which he purchased at an auction and unfortunately was ripped off, Mike is the typical immature know it all customer that tries to get friendly with the mechanics in order to have us do dishonest work so that he may gain out of other people's loss, just because you got a bad deal on this vehicle and you can't recognize it, it doesn't mean you have to discredit somebody's profession, I deal with people like Him all day, every day, we have over 20 car auctions in the area, and way to many " car flippers" who want to pay people like myself to do half-assed work in order to save them money and allow the to get rid of the car at someone else's expense, at least I am honest about what I do, and if you are a customer like this man, that is looking for a chump to do his dirty work, don't bother coming to my shop, because even though we are the underdogs here in Otay Mesa due to the fact that we are the only established, licensed and bonded shop, we do not need customers that are dishonest and criminals, because after all what you are doing is a crime, and we are not interested in your business, there are plenty of other junk yard mechanics out there willing to take your money, As for the rest of you honest, hardworking people, I you are tired of being overcharged and treated like a walking dollar sign, come see me, Albert, at A to Z auto repair, and have a great day.
Thanks to yp I stumbled upon Clairemont Auto Care and I'm so glad I did!Before going here, I set up an appointment and brought my car in by 12AM. I had just moved back from el cajon so my car had been out of commission and under PNO status for quite some time. Thanks to Clairemont Auto Care, they changed my oil, got my car smogged and certified and not to mention, they also repaired a busted regulator on my driver side window which prevented it from powering up. Honestly I had this problem for over a year not knowing who could fix this for a reasonable price. Luckily, they had the part available and were able to get everything done by closing time.When I brought my car in, Al explained to me that it would take a couple hours to work on since one of his repair guys wouldn't be arriving till noon so he wanted to make sure I had another means of transportation which I did. I basically had left my car in their shop and Al kept me posted throughout the day to let me know what was going on and how much the job would cost.For a new regulator, smog check and oil change, I paid about $289. At first I was a little hesitant to leave my car there, but as soon as I got back, I was just relieved that all the work was done and I didn't have to worry about my window and smog certificate anymore. I'll have to say Clairemont Auto Care is a pretty reliable Auto Repair shop and not to mention honest. I would definitely bring my car back for service next time.
(THIS PLACE IS BAD - WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER BEEN, THEY DID WORK TO MY CAR THAT WAS NOWHERE IN THE $700 RANGE OF MECHANICS,) THAT WAS ME AND HOW I FELT ONCE LEAVING JIFFY LUBE AFTER HAVING WORK DONE. I WILL NOW AND FOREVER RETRACT THOSE WORDS ABOUT THE INTEGRITY OF THIS JIFFY LUBE, I RECEIVED A CALL FROM MANAGER ALBERT EXPRESSING HIS SYMPATHY FOR MY EXPERIENCE AND ADDRESSING ANYTHING HE CAN DO TO RECTIFY THE SITUATION AND MY FEELINGS TOWARDS THIS JIFFY LUBE, DESPITE THE WAY I FELT AND EXPRESSED ABOUT THIS BUSINESS I DID NOT ONCE SAY THE WORK DONE WAS BAD. I CAN SAY IT WAS QUICK 30-45 MINUTES I CAN ALSO SAY I HAVEN'T HAD ANY MECHANICAL PROBLEMS WITH THE WORK. THE ONE THING THAT WAS LACKING ON THAT DAY I HAD MY CAR SERVICED WAS GIVING WHEN ALBERT CALLED ME AND SPOKE TO ME AS IF HE WAS A CUSTOMER NOT WANTING TO LOSE A CUSTOMER OVER A ONE-TIME EXPERIENCE. WHATEVER A COMPANY DOES TO A CUSTOMER CAN ONLY DAMAGE OR EXPAND THE BUSINESS, DESPITE WHAT I SAID IN A RAGE. I WILL SAY THAT THIS JIFFY LUBE ON EL CAJON BLVD VALUES THERE INTEGRITY BACKS UP THEIR WORK. YOU CAN BE THE BEST AT SOMETHING BUT WITHOUT INTEGRITY AND AS "DO RIGHT" CONSCIOUS, YOUR SERVICES ARE USUAL. RECEIVING A CALL FROM MANAGEMENT ABOUT MY DISCOMFORT AND MANAGEMENT WORKING TO RECTIFY IT IS "EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE" TO ME AND I APPRECIATE THAT KIND OF BUSINESS
These guys are the BEST!!!! I found them through the car talk site and went to them because of the great reviews from others. Let me say the other reviews were right on the mark. I delt with Jeff the manager who is a very kind, honest, and easy to talk to guy who really knows his stuff. I got my transition fluid changed with no problems and at a great price. He also alerted me to some other work I should consider getting done in the near future (my car has about 150k miles on it). But there was absolutely no pressure from him regarding further repairs. He was simply bringing some things to my attention that my car needs. I know a thing or two about cars, and I take good care of my car so I know that the items he brought to my attention were completely legit. Moreover, they didn't try to sell me on useless crap, like other shops (oil change places mostly) do. For the first time in my life I have found myself a shop and mechanic I can trust!! I would recommend them to my friends and family and would even feel good about sending my wife to them alone. (nothing bad about women, but some Unscrupulous places try to take advantage of people who might not know any better). Jeff is worth his weight in gold and this place is great!!! <<
I recently had my car fixed after a break-in and this place came highly recommended through my insurance company. I did what any smart consumer does first, I looked them up on Yelp and was pleasantly surprised. I was matched with exemplary customer service, professionalism, and effective communication throughout the whole process (with photo updates). I can safely say that my 5 star rating is clearly not a high enough rating for the experience they provided, and all of it while their receptionist was on her honeymoon, shout out to still handling it and making her look good! :)The majority of my interaction was with Mike, he was informative, precise, and stuck to his date of completion. I won't be taking my car anywhere else from now on. If you want someone who is knowledgable AND still delivers a quality product, this is the place, they can definitely put their money where their mouth is! -Satisfied Customer

I went to Luis Auto Repair and Smog Shop recently for a smog on my car after seeing his ad in the Pennysaver. It was a little hard to find seeing how I ended up driving by it a couple of times and once I got there it was a little dirty, which was kind of a letdown. However after being approached by the owner Luis and talking with him for a bit, my entire perspective on the place changed. Just conversing with him assured me that coming to this location was the right decision. Luis was very helpful, knowledgeable, and credible. He took great care of me and got me in and out quicker than I thought it would take. And I found out that not only does he do smog checks, he also does diagnostics too! Which is great news for me seeing as how my car breaks down on me quite often. I have definitely found my new mechanic to take care of my baby! When you go in, make sure to ask for Luis!!!

These guys do great work at honest rates. I sometimes buy my own parts (on the internet) and have them install them. Usually they would have charged me about the same for the parts. Guess I should stop wasting my time :-) Been going here for 5+ years now, and they always get the work done quickly. I had a transmission go bad, had it towed there, and had the car back the following afternoon. They always fix what I ask them too and don't try to "upsell" me. About five years ago my water pump went out, the dealer charged me $1200 to replace the water pump and the timing belt (I wasn't in SD at the time). Last year it was time to get the timing belt changed, so for less than $400 I got the timing belt and water pump changed, and an oil change, and they installed some new truck lid struts I had bought.
