Joshua's Pest Control
I have been beyond impressed with Joshua's Pest Control. My wife and I hired them initially after we noticed rodent droppings in a storage area below our home. I had three different companies’ come by for a quote, and choose Joshua's because I was most impressed by Joshua’s two technicians. We went with their rodent exclusion, to ensure that we eliminated all access points, and also signed on for their quarterly service.I will start off with the exclusion. Our house was built in the 1920s, and is also built on a Canyon, which makes us a great target for bugs and rodents, etc. I was a bit nervous about some of the work that was needed, especially with regard to aesthetic impact on our home. The gentlemen who were in charge of our inclusion were both named Chris, and they walked me through everything aspect of what needed to be done. They took extra time to review options, given the age of my home and some of the challenges that we faced. To say I was satisfied is an understatement, Chris and Chris spent hours at my home and took extra care to ensure that the work was done well. Knowing that I was apprehensive of the visual impact of some of the work, they purchased materials that complemented the look of my house, as opposed to using anything that they had on their truck. These guys were top notch, professional, and really took time to ensure that I was happy with the work. Because I live on a canyon, they came back a second time, at no charge, and did more work to the area built on the canyon. They were at my house for over 10 hours and provided excellent service and piece of mind.As part of our service we also purchased their quarterly plan, and have just received our first treatment. The tech that came out this week, Nate, was terrific. I was expecting a 20-minute spray, but he stayed for nearly 2 hours, checking up on the rodent work from last month, spraying the entire home and also removed all traces of webs. We have been very pleased with the experience with Joshua's Pest Control. This is a top-notch company because of the fantastic employees that they have. In the past month, we have worked with four technicians at our home, and each one has been prompt, polite, professional and genuinely cared about the service they were providing. I highly recommend Joshua's Pest Control.

Pro Ex
First off I needed to be fumigated, and Steve, the owner gave me by far the best price and as good a guarantee as anyone(4 years)on our tenting. The job went way smoother than I could have imagined. I had been told I had subterranean termites also and the only "evidence" in my home was some dried up old remnants of a termite tunnel and nothing live. After calling the other 5 companies who had come out they all admitted that no indeed I did not have live subterraneans but I should spend $1,000+ to treat. Steve informed me all homes are pretreated and this was merely a break from moisture that had occured, many years ago and after going online I comfirmed what he told me. Thanks Pro Ex for saving me over a thousand dollars on that and hundreds on the tenting. The fumigators, Statewide Fumigation, were also great and helped carry out some plants and bagged up something I forgot. Total Pros all the way. Pro Ex is also one of only 8 A+ Accredited Better Business Bureau Companies here in town. Thanks Pro Ex!

Aptive Environmental
I have been saying for some time that businesses who use door to door services in this day and age I cannot work with. I work in the technology field so I believe the company will be utilizing out of date technology which will lower service standards. I could not have been more wrong. I was approached by Mike yesterday who was not only respectful, but likeable. I've been fighting a losing battle against the bugs around my house for a year now and was too stubborn to want to hire anyone. I think I spent more on chemicals over the last year than what aptive charges for their service so I was a pushover sale. Danny arrived only two hours later to complete the first treatment. Danny took extra time to make sure I was aware of everything he was taking care of and was a pleasure to work with. The treatment in total only took about an hour but you can tell he was very thorough. With the level of service I have received so far I have no worries that I will not have any future issues.

Kurt and Hua showed up from Aptive a day after I signed up for their services. They were very well mannered and polite. They explained what they were going to be doing and if I had any special requests. They dusted for spider webs on the eaves of the roof which was really impressive since none of my other pest control services ever did that. Getting rid of spiders are more important to me than the ants so that was a big plus. While they were spraying, they were constantly walking back and forth double checking their work which I thought was also nice. They said goodbye before they left and gave me information regarding the product that they used. So far so good. Aptive came at a good time since I had cancelled my old pest control service two months prior.

Antac Pest Control
Best consumer service ever. I had the chance to call them twice, first for a carpenter ant infestation in the kids bedroom wall, called him on a Sunday evening very late, he was at my house first thing in the morning. He kept coming back everyday to make sure they where all gone. 2nd time, for a little visitor that came thru our garage... a mouse, he came the same day I called him. He kept calling me every other day, following up on his service, 4 days later our visitor was stuck to a special glue. A week later he showed up at the house, making sure that was the only one, he still put more glue, away form pets and the kids. Great service! Thanks Lee!

Antac Pest Control
I was receiving serves from Antac for 4 years; I paid this account on an annual basis but couldn’t receive a comprehensive bill or notice of renewal from them because their computer wasn’t programmed for it. So every December I would have to call them and explain that I wanted an annual service and it was a hassle. The office staff the last time of renewal only billed me for five services and received a bill in December for services rendered. I called them and explained that this was paid annually. Sorry our mistake but pay up. I received poor office support, computer support and customer service. IF YOU USE THEM DO NOT PAY IN ADVANCE.

Aptive Environmental
I had a rep named Mitch knock on my door as I was on my way out. He was very polite and insisted that he could come back at my convenience. However, we do have a major ant problem at the moment so I scheduled them to come out the following day between 9 and 11am. The next morning Paul arrived exactly at 9am and opened up an invoice then we did a walk through and discussed all the problem areas. He was very professional and courteous. He even went above and beyond by walking through my home looking for random entry points and then setting up traps. My family and I are very satisfied thus far! Thanks Paul! - Mike P.

Aptive Environmental
I was using one of the large pest control companies. They behaved like many large companies, raising rates as time went on without notice and without adding any services. When Aptive approached me, I didn't mind switching. Anthony did the initial service, and Manuel responded later when I realized that I had some pests inside the house. They were both courteous, they appeared to know what they were doing, and they both thanked me for my business. They invited me to call any time if I had pest concerns, and assured me that there would be no additional charge for this service.

R & D Pest Services Inc
We have been with R&D for some time now, and continue to be very pleased with the service. Due to living by an open preserve, we had many issues with rats, which R&D quickly resolved. Maintenance has kept them away for many years. Ants are no longer an issue. If insects become a problem, R&D will quickly come out to assist and resolve the situation. Dave does a great job of keeping us updated on the condition of our property. I also appreciate that the materials used are safe for animals. R&D is highly recommended.Jerry Y.

Aptive Environmental
Jerrod L. arrived on time and was knowledgeable in all respects. He was thorough and explained what he was doing and answered all my questions. Jerrod has great customer service skills and hope he will be the technician that comes out for my quarterly pest treatments. Thank you Aptive and Jerrod for the great service. I would highly recommend Aptive as a reputable company with skilled technicians. I am not normally a person that retains services to a company that knocks on my door. However I am glad I made an exception for Aptive.
Tips & Advices
Fumigation is dangerous to pets and humans. Liquid termicides, however, are safe to use around pets.
No. Because termite infestations are considered preventable, most home insurance policies do not cover treatments or damage.
It's best to treat an entire home to ensure the termite infestation is completely eliminated. Spot treating costs less, but increases the likelihood of missed colonies. In addition, spot treatments can make a home unattractive to future buyers.
The cost to eliminate termites varies depending on the method. Bait costs between $150-$300, while fumigation costs $1,300-$2,500. Heat treatment costs around $1 per square foot, so a 2,500 square-foot home would cost $2,500.
The length of time depends on the process used:
  • Fumigation takes approximately five days. The termites die quickly, but homeowners must remain out of the house until the chemicals clear.
  • Bait exterminations can take months to destroy an entire colony. The bait kills termites during the molting process. If an insect eats the bait and does not molt, it is unaffected.
  • Heat extermination takes approximately eight hours and is environmentally friendly. This process heats the home to 150 degrees F.
