Medical Center Weight Loss Clinic
I have been seeing Kathryn Norton since August of 2013. I weighed 278 lbs on my initial visit. I now weigh 210 lbs as of 1/25/14 - an avg loss of 13 lbs per month even during the Holidays. I have had good weeks and bad weeks (with regard to weight loss) and in every instance of a bad week, it was due to my NOT following Kathryn's dietary suggestions (sometimes eating too many calories, sometimes not eating enough). I attribute my success so far to following her advice, and my wilingness to use the MyFitnessPal food diary that she recommends. My use of the tool has allowed her to look back on the slower weeks and identify where I was not eating correctly and suggest adjustments. My experiences with the staff (front desk, MA's, etc) have all been very positive - everyone is pleasant and attentive, and go out of their way to ensure my wife and I are reminded of upcoming visits. I am not sure I understand the comment below about staff standing around and talking 'all day'. I visit every week to take advantage of the free weigh-in which gets recorded in my chart as well as an appointment with Kathryn every other week. I have never been there for more than 30 minutes; so, I am unclear as to how the reviewer below would have knowledge of any 'all day' activities. My advice is - make one appointment. Meet Kathryn, tell her your needs and goals, and listen to her initial advice. If, like me, you think what she says makes sense and you lose 7 lbs in the first week .. I am confident you'll be coming back as well. Be prepared though ... My wife and I have lost so much weight, and so many inches, that we have had to replace our entire wardrobe.

I am a new patient here. I feel the staff needs to be a little more educated on everything this establishment encompasses.Very friendly staff, yet it seems there is no communication amongst employees. I've been called multiple times regarding my initial visit and to let me know my lab results even though I had already gone, picked up copies of labs and injections/therapy. They are dealing with prescription drugs and have no account of what is coming in and out. I have past experience in the pharmacy field of 10+ years and that is probably why this bothers me.After a week only a week I am actually happy and have had AWESOME results, yet a bit annoyed by how this place is being run. Working in management, this place's organizational skills are in dire need of some fine tuning. I bet I could whip this business into a TOP PERFORMING establishment. Your staff is what represents your business!Guys, don't settle for mediocrity....GO FOR BEING THE BEST in your industry. Those seeking a place for weight loss or hormone therapy SHOULD DEFINITELY CHECK THIS PLACE OUT. Health should always be a priority in everyone's lives!

Team Strong Supplements and Nutrition
I have had nothing but an outstanding experience with Louie and Adina wether it was with SA strong or with their new business Team Strong!.From day one they have been totally professional and they truly care about their customers/clients health and transformations..They will always take the time to take you step by step to your goals and help you pick out the diet, supplements and workout that is tailor made for you!..That being said,I think it is very unprofessional to get on here and try to badmouth and slander people who have nothing but helped the community in achieving a healthy life style with humbleness and knowledge..If what you truly claim @Edward M is true then they would have already been arrested and facing charges!..What you are saying is nothing but words and that means nothing in a court of law!...Actions speak louder than words and the only actions Louie and Adina have shown myself and the community are the actions of great people who care and are committed to us!

San Antonio Siender Sol
Initial impression = frustration & disappointment. Made an appt on a Tues morning. Rcvd an email confirming my appt the day before. I work completely across town and was almost there when I got a phone call saying the doctor had not returned from vacation yet. They rescheduled my appt a week later. Office is small and dingy. Not very well organized. But, the staff was friendly. After waiting to see the physician for nearly 45min, I was told the doctor did not show up and they didn't know where she was. Now I have to take more time off work to return a third time for my first consultation. Ridiculous! I sure hope this program works for all the trouble... UPDATE: It took them three days to call my prescription in to Walmart. When I called to reschedule my weekly follow up appointment, they didn't even have me scheduled at all. Oh I would've been soooo irritated if I showed up and couldn't be seen. This place is a mess!

Medical Center Weight Loss Clinic
This is the most professional and affordable place I've ever been to.I've heard about this clinic from a friend and decided to make a trip all the way to San Antonio from DFW because it’s hard to find a reliable and affordable service. I was very impressed with the stuff, especially Kathryn Norton. Kathryn is a very attentive, warm and knowledgeable person. She treats you like her top priority and offers weight loss options that are applicable to your situation. I received HCG therapy, appetite suppressant and the supplements at a great price and will recommend the clinic to all my friends. It definitely is worth the drive.

This clinic is so cool! It’s like a one stop shop, they do everything! They even helped me lose weight and balanced my hormones at the same time-Finally I feel sane again! Lol… The staff and doctor are very knowledgeable and friendly, and the whole clinic is very technologically advanced! They even gave me an ipad when I signed in to read over their website while I waited and showed me how to make my next appointment online!! You can't beat the quality and service you get here!!

Great Patient Care!! If you are seeking a great clinic and physician to lose weight I highly recommend IMC Oak Hills. Patient care is one of the most important things in searching for a clinic and they do an amazing job at that. Information provided by the staff is a plus as well as from Ms. Mazuca and is greatly appreciated. They have several programs on getting you started and headed in the right direction from their weight loss program to Family Practice!!!

The staff is very helpful, and they really seem to know their products and services. I went in for weight loss but I’m also considering going in for their hormone program. I created my login to their website and have been able to see my test results online. I like the convenience of scheduling my appointments online. I will definitely be going back to this place. And I have a few friends who want to go too!

I really love this place. I had been having trouble losing weight and had been feeling tired for years. No one could tell me what was wrong until I came here. She was wonderful!!! She found out I had low vitamin D and I was iron deficient. Once I felt better my whole world improved. I will never go anywhere else again. I like that she focuses on finding the right answers for you. Thank you Ms. Mazuca.

Dr Rogers Weight Loss Centers
I went there a little skeptical but I can say the weight I have lost, 21 pounds in 7 weeks, speak for itself. Very thankful for their support as I have always struggled with my weight. The counseling on my nutrition will pay off most as I can still eat pizza, just a different kind with healthier ingredients.
Tips & Advices
A meal replacement is a substitute for a meal, typically a drink or a bar. While processed meal replacements have a set number of calories, many are high in added sugar and low in protein, fiber and healthy fats.
Appetite suppressants, like all drugs, have side effects, so read the fine print and discuss potential side effects with a medical professional before taking them. Stimulant-type drugs can cause insomnia, increased blood pressure, increased heart rate, drug dependence and abuse, and withdrawal symptoms. Drugs that work to prevent fat absorption can cause gas, soft stools, and oily spotting. Diet pills that affect neurotransmitters are associated with headache, nausea and vomiting, constipation, dry mouth, and dizziness.
People generally lose weight gradually and steadily (about 1 to 2 pounds per week) if they stick to a calorie-controlled plan. Increasing exercise can increase weight loss.
Medical weight loss is supervised by a medical professional and targets the causes of obesity and weight gain. Treatments can run the gamut, from diet and nutrition to pills and surgery, but the goal is to help the patient achieve and maintain a healthy weight for life.
Many people can see results in one to two weeks if they stick to their plan. Weight loss results vary from person to person and depend on factors such as starting size and caloric intake level. Including exercise in the program can accelerate weight loss.
