My husband and I absolutely love this school! We made a great decision by sending our son to Giant Steps! My son looks forward to going to school everyday! We enjoy seeing all the hands-on learning he gets in the classroom. The BEST preschool in San Antonio, NOT daycare!

Altamente recomendable.

In the past six years, I've seen my two children blossom in their own individual ways at MSSA. By choosing work that is meaningful to them in an environment that encourages respect and independence, my Lower Elementary and Upper Elementary children have developed skills that continually impress us. They are engaged and interested - not just at school, but in life. Their teachers have kept them inspired and challenged. We feel lucky to have found MSSA and although the tuition is a sacrifice for our family, it is worth every penny!

My wife and I are extremely pleased with the education our daughter received from Montessori Earth School. We love the fact that the students are multi-cultural and learn more than just the 3 R's - they learn music, dance, and culture. Even though the school building is not the most eye-pleasing, we found that the students come from well-to-do families: many of them doctors, nurses and USAA employees. My daughter never complained about the school in the two years she attended.

well first of all the gym in there smells really bad like itz never really kept up with.the bleachers are all cracked up and need to get replaced!there are bugs, mice, lizards, and posseums.everywhere.there are leaks in the hallways so they put towels on the floor or trashcans instead of fixing the problem.there is mold growing on the ceilings in classrooms, restrooms, and the lockerooms.and there would be for instance nacho cheese on the gym doors that stayed there for like 3months and not get cleaned. And in there water fountains they have to put a little bit of chlorine in it in order for students to drink from them because it would be dirty water then.and on the schools website it is false advertisement it says they are a credited school but there not.I know this from someone attending it.the other bad thing is there arent many extra curricular sports and no electives for your child. And they would do anything at that school to make a buck like if they tell you you can dress out you have to pay a dollar.and etc.

I have had the pleasure of having my 2 precious girls in the loving care of Country Home Learning Center on Escarpment for over 4 years now. The staff is very caring and have done an excellent job at preparing my oldest for Kindergarten and doing the same for my youngest. It is a wonderful feeling as a parent to know my children are safe and in loving hands while I am at work. I recommend this facility to all parents that are in the area. Thank you Shannon and all of you for all that you have done for my family! Shalana

As a teacher at Kid's Garden I can clarify some negative comments recently made by letting anyone reading these reviews that the entire staff at the center are the best people I've ever had the pleasure of working with. The children that attend the center are very well cared for and supervised.I love my job as does the rest of the staff.Everyday is different and everything doesn't run smoothly all the time but we help each other out and do have the best interest at heart for all the children that attend our center.

I highly recommend Happy Hollow. My two boys have been there for two years now and have absolutely enjoyed their time. The teacher (owner) and the teaching assistants are fantastic. In fact, the teaching assistants are college students that are majoring in education! My children have have had the opportunity to be part of the Pre Kinder Program, after school, and summer camp. First, allow me to tell you about the pre-school/pre k, my youngest has attended since he was 3 (he is now 5). Celebrations are a big deal at Happy Hollow, huge parties for holidays and they really make the kids feel special on their birthdays as well. My youngest was born premature and he is a little behind the curve learning wise. The last two years he has gone to Happy Hollow, he has learned so much! He has excelled and is truly ready to rock kindergarten next year. He held his head so high like the other kiddos did walking across the stage it was beautiful at their Pre K and Preschool graduation ceremony. They had all worked so hard this year to accomplish their goals. Next, after school. The children are picked up from their local schools. They are ASSISTED with their homework and are able to play afterwards. It's a great feeling knowing that I don't need to worry about being bogged down with homework once home, I can check out what the assignment was and go about the usual nightly routine of laundry, dinner, clean. Ect. Last, Happy Hollow's summer camp. The children go on a lot of fantastic field trips, and have an opportunity to get swimming lessons as well. Unfortunately, due to my new summer work schedule- my boys will not be able to attend the camp and they are very upset about it. If you're looking for a special place that can give you piece of mind that your child is learning and being loved on, Happy Hollow is the place for your family. I really can't say enough how blessed we were to have found such a caring and kind school for them to grow and learn. Truly just the sweetest, and most knowledgable people I have had the pleasure of getting to know. Happy Hollow is WONDERFUL!

My child went here a few years back, and had the best care I could have hoped for. They were teaching her numbers and colors at the age of 1. I had to change her to a new day care that is open later because of my change in work hours and regret ever taking her out of this center. The staff are all great and friendly. The one time I had an issue, I talked to the director and it was handled that day with an apology and smile.

On July 26, 2010 I enrolled my son at Pillars Christian Learning Center for before/afterschool services. I was told at that time they provided this service to my son's school (Galm Elem). I advised them at that time on the registration paperwork he would begin services on 08/24/2010 and that his father would take him and pick him up to school on the first day, 08/23/2010, and after that they would pick him up. I received a phone call at the end of the first day of school (08/23/10) at 4pm by his father, advising me that his teacher was told by Pillars that they would not be ""taking him or picking him up from school and that they need to make other arrangements."" I immediately called Pillars, asking why this was since they already cashed my check for the 65.00 registration and that I was on my way to pay the 2 week tuition when I got off of work. I was then told, ""Dawn did not call you?"" I told her that I was never contacted and now I do not have anyone to take or pick up my child from school the next day. She then advised me she would be happy to refund my 65.00. I told her I was upset because not only did I hear this from my son's teacher, I was never contacted at any of the numbers listed on the registration paperwork and now at the end of the day before I needed them, I have to scramble to find someone else. I told her to have my money ready for me to pick up. When I got there, I told her I was highly upset and did not understand the unprofessionalism that happened. She then tried to tell me someone named Jessica remembered calling me and leaving me a message. I told her, I never received any message at any of the numbers they have and if I hadn't called or heard from my son's teacher, I would have never known they were no longer going to take him to school. I asked to speak to a supervisor, which she never offered to get me. She then offered to take my son to school for the next day, but that they can't pick him up. I advised her again that I am a teacher as well and am unable to drop my son off and make it to work before I need to be there and that is why I chose them way back in July. She then said, ""I thought you said his school had an afterschool program?"" I told her yes they do but I need BOTH before/after care, and sinc it was now 430pm, the office at his school is closed so I would not be able to enroll him for him to begin right away tomorrow. There have also been other times I have contacted this center for other reasons and no one has ever bothered to return my emails or phone messages. She then said, ""Dawn remembers you from the email you had sent her,"" which I then complained, ""Why has no one ever returned that email or call for that?"" She could not answer why and just kept apologizing for my frustration and inconvenience. I feel the way that I was treated was bad business, especially for someone who truly needed the services they promised. I had made arrangements a month prior to school starting, and if they had truly contacted me as they claimed they did, wouldn't the staff find it strange that I never called back to get my 65.00 registration fee since they weren't offering before/afterschool care any longer? To me it seems they were ready to keep my money and not try too hard to make sure I was aware of the situation. If I was truly contacted ahead of time, this would not be an issue, which I expressed to her and that I would not be stressed out and having to go through this. Now I am without a provider for my son, and being a teacher, I will have to call in late on the second day of the school year because I have no one to take my son to school and I need to find another provider right away. This was and is a huge inconvenience on so many levels and I truly feel they do not care one way or another that I was put in that position.\r
