I've had several experiences with Perrin-410. The most recent I will base my rating on. Our regular vet wasn't due in for a few hours so being that it was an emergency our office directed us to Perrin. They got us in an exam room quickly. We thought our dog was poisoned so I would have appreciated seeing the vet immediately however the first thing was the tech came to ask the problem and then we went to go take blood samples and stool samples. I felt the the first thing should have been temp. They wanted to take my pup to the "back" to take blood and stool samples. That could have been done in the exam room IMO. Whatever, I'm not leaving my dog with any vet or tech I don't know so I went along. Anyway, the vet didn't seem my being there but oh well too bad-they should understand. After running the tests which took some time, the tech came and showed us a tallied bill before the vet would come in. After another amount of time, the vet Dr. Ramsey showed up. He seemed OK. He didn't speculate much other that what we had already surmised but of course as a pet owner we want answers and he really didn't have any. That is extremely frustrating. He did give us the option to go to my regular vet to get treatment. If that was an option I would have already gone but anyway, I went to go square things up with the front desk while my pup was getting a couple of shots of medicine and I asked the receptionist would I be getting medications to take home. The tech came back and said yes the vet wanted us to get some "if we could". No wonder! It really jacked up the bill. One thing I will tell you about Perrin-410, they are available, they have everything there; vets, lab equipment, medicine etc, and they have people who know their stuff. Another thing I will tell you is that you won't get out of there without spending $800-$1200. If you love your pets like children, take them to Perrin-410.

Rigsby Veterinary Clinic
My family and I have been coming to Rigsby Veterinary clinic when Dr. Burchers was the veterinary. Dr. Luke Proctor and Dr. Sheryl Proctor are the only 2 doctors that see my 2- senior dogs. They are both excellent Doctors but if the staff doesn't improve I am sorry to say I have no problems asking for copies of my dogs records and going elsewhere. The suggestion I do have is a better office manager, pleasant receptionists and more educated technicians.... At one point they had a very pleasant clinic manager by the name of Sarah L... She always acknowledged me by my last name, ( the 2 front desk employees never can remember my name nor my pets even if I had just been there the day before . Better yet I don't even get acknowledged when walking in to the clinic.. ) was very people friendly and compassionate employee. Whenever checking in for an appt with Sarah or one of her receptionist I NEVER had to repeat what my visit at the office was for that day... These 2 girls that they have now are just flat out ignorant. They keep each other humored with none related work conversions instead of checking up with the clients in the waiting room...God forgive you call up to the client because you will be left and sometimes even forgot on hold. I can’t even count the many times this has happen to me. Now on the other hand there is 2 (and I mean only 2 ) technicians ( Kristy and Emily ) that are very thorough and i always make sure it only one of them that see my 2 dogs. Over all I can only say good things about the Doctors and the 2 technicians... I do hope that Dr. Proctor does read this and replaces some of his staff like he has been doing to his clinic.

I took my Pitty Azia, there not knowing what was going on with her. From the time I arrived I was given the attention I was hoping for at the time I had no idea what was going on with my pitty Azia but I was so emotionally hurt of possibly losing her broke my heart. Check -In was pleasant when speaking to the ladies at the counter Mirna O., Ronnie S., Connie...soo many to name but I can't forget Nancy her immediate attention on my pitty kept me speechless. Dr. Luke Proctor was quick to try and find out the cause and did everything he possibly could. Dr. Luke Proctor was very attentive and detailed of the test and medication to keep my pitty living. The attention that I was given of comfort that Azia was in good hands I could only pray �������� that she gets better. Well after a few days results came back from a poising and they tried everything they could to possibly reverse it. It definitely hurt and broke my heart ❤️ when I received the news after a week of antibiotics and fluids. Had no choice but was the hardest decision In my life to lay her down so she doesn't go through this pain any more. She wouldn't eat for days and vomited liquid fluids. Even from the personalized card I received post mail it emotionally touched me of the caring people that all work at Rigsby Veterinarian office and it made me get emotional you will forever be my family. They even took care of the arrangements of the " All Paws " pet crematory. Which I was great full for. My Azia will never be forgotten she will be in my heart ❤️ always.Thank you for every thing Rigsby Veternarin clinic!I commend you ALL of all the long hours and work you all do for our furry friends.

I took my Cats to Dr. Ehrlund & her husband (now deceased) as a child and loved the care that they both showed especially when one of my cat's kittens had a condition that they couldn't treat that required us taking him to the vet school. I've recently reconnected w/ them and Dr. Ehrlund is just as wonderful now as she was then!! I know that there are some reviews on the web that are negative about her but I think some of that may have to do with a VERY SELECT FEW of her office staff. Beyond that, once you talk, CALMLY & RATIONALLY about any problems that you may have, Dr. Ehrlund is MORE THAN WILLING TO LISTEN & WORK OUT A SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM!!Recently when our youngest cat cut her right (wrist) front paw VERY DEEPLY during a time when we had some financial difficulties, she worked things out with me so that she adjusted the treatment course so that Patches still got the necessary treatment to allow the deep wound to heal but did so w/o hitting my pocketbook too hard! I did have a small problem with one of her office staff when I came back to pick Patches up but as I wrote earlier, once I talked privately, CALMLY & rationally to Dr. Ehrlund, she took care of the problem and spoke with the staff member so that that problem wouldn't happen with anyone else again!I think that much of the negative reviews on the web about Dr. Ehrlund are WAY OVERBLOWN. She really is an EXCELLENT VET who has been in continual practice in NW San Antonio for the last 30 years!!

I've been taking my animals to Dr. Beissner for 7 years,being from the neighborhood. Very reasonable, Seems as time goes on, the Dr. isn't quite as friendly or attentive/sympathetic. I feel rushed when asking him questions, just today I took my fat cat in because he had been sneezing a lot. The Dr. came in, and my cat freaks out, he does not like the Dr. The cat was very stressed, and the Dr didn't care about calming him down. My Kitty's temp is not taken, but the Dr goes and gets an injectible antibiotic, starts to put it in kittys hip, cat jumps and hisses, makes the Dr jump, he tries to inject again, same thing happens, and he sternly says "put him up (back in carrier)", and we were done....? I asked the Dr if he got all the medicine in the cat, he says yes. He didn't tell me the shot was $55, I feel he should have discussed the price, and I think most of it went on his fur, it was wet by injection site. He seemed really short and impatient. I've spent over $1000 over 7 years, but still feel like a stranger in there. I think I'll be looking for a different vet, someone that cares for my cats like their own, with a pleasant demeanor, and doesn't make me feel like I'm bothering them..

If you’re looking for a caring and loving vet Dr. Mac is the vet for you. I have been going to him for 8 ½ years. I put all my faith and trust into him when it comes to my animals. He saved my dog twice from dying. He will never give up on you or your pet. If I ever needed him for anything he always answered my calls or returned my call within a short time. He will be honest and open and tell you the truth about your pet. If he feels a specialist is best for your pet he will refer you to them. He is open to your suggestions or ideas. He always made all my pets feel special when they came in. His vet techs are the best. They are very knowledgeable on vet care. They are courteous and kind. They knew my dog was super anxious about coming in so they would let me bring her in right before x-rays or any procedure instead of coming early and dropping your pet off. He will work with you to make your pet feel comfortable. He loves your animals as much as you do. My dog Sarah recently passed away and he was as heartbroken as I was, as well as his staff. Now that is a caring and loving vet. So don’t hesitate to check Dr. Mac out. You won’t regret it.

HI my name is Benita and I am currently the office manger here at Children's Night Clinic and I would like to clear up some false information that I see above. OK first off we DO take community first Medicaid so rodriguez1984 I do not know where you got that info but it is wrong. And as far as us not seeing fever and breathing problems that is another false statement almost every patient that comes to our clinic has a fever as one of their symptoms so to say we do not see patients with fever is not true, and we always see patients with breathing problem asthma is one of the main illnesses we see here. Now of course if a patient comes in and it is almost closing time with a high fever and/or is asthmatic with trouble breathing that is the only time we would refer to the emergency room because we would not have enough time to clear the patient up and/or run any test if necessary. I advise anyone thinking of bringing their child to our clinic to call us rather than going off reviews because not all statements made on a review are accurate as proven here. Thank You and we look forward to helping your child.

El Dorado Animal Hospital
we had our first visit with the El Dorado Animal Hospital on Friday. Our dogs eyes and skin started turning yellow and at first I thought this was a side effect from the medication she has been on for her arthritis but after being seen we found out she has a pretty bad infection. Dr. McIntosh and the entire staff were so wonderful. When he started explaining what he thought was wrong I immediately started crying and after getting me some tissues he really took the time to talk through the treatment that he was recommended and had the technician provide me with an estimate for the cost of care. They offer a 20% coupon for the first appointment and that really saved me a lot of money for her treatment. This all happened on Friday and Dr. McIntosh has called several times this weekend to check in on her and see how she is doing. I would recommend this vet to anyone. Our dog is 11 years old and because my husband was in the military she has seen quite a few vets over the years from moving around and Dr. McIntosh and his staff are by far the best we have seen.

Nicola has to be one of the nicest representatives I have met. She is very knowledgeable and during the process was very honest about my options with coverage and prices. She has always responded promptly when I had questions and she strives to build strong relationships with her clients. As a company, my experience with Liberty Mutual has also been rewarding. I had hail damage last spring and when I called in the claim, a claims adjuster was there within two days. After a thorough inspection, the adjuster processed the claim and I had a check in hand within hours. Definitely something you don't see too often with insurance companies. While no company can guarantee they are the cheapest in every type of insurance, Liberty is by far one of the most competitive.

Potranco Veterinary Clinic
A little over a year ago my son and I unfortunately had to experience the loss of our beloved Gizmo due to a canine vs car accident. Since I was there to witness the accident, I took Gizmo to the closest veterinary clinic I could find which was Potranco Veterinary clinic. When I came in with Gizmo and a jacket that I wrapped him up in, the clinic was full and there were animals with there owners waiting. They saw me and the front desk staff immediately escorted me to a room. They pronounced Gizmo's death and gave me options for cremation. I don't mean to write a sob story, but I just wanted to let everyone know that if it wasn't for everyone in the clinics professionalism and passion on that day I wouldn't be taking my two Jack Russels to see them. They won my trust and I'm so glad to have the the clinic so convinently close to my house. Thank you for that day, and the days to come.
Tips & Advices
This depends on the facility. Patients should call to find out if they'll need a referral from their physician prior to making an appointment.
Aside from hyperbaric oxygen treatment, most wound care centers offer:
  • Debridement: The removal of dead skin and tissue surrounding the wound. This can be done surgically, using a whirlpool bath, syringes, enzymes that dissolve the tissue, or wet dressings that dry on the wound and absorb the dead tissue.
  • Dressing: Wrapping the wound in a protective film, gauze, gel, or foam.
  • Compression stockings: Tight-fitted fabric sheaths that encourage blood flow.
  • Artificial skin: A covering that is applied to the wound for several days as it heals.
  • Ultrasound: The use of sound waves to promote healing.
  • Growth factor therapy: The use of materials naturally produced by the body to encourage quick cell growth.
  • Negative pressure therapy: Creating a vacuum around a wound to encourage faster blood flow to the area.
Depending on where the treatment is administered, hyperbaric oxygen treatment  can cost $100- $1,000. After insurance is applied, patients may have a copay of $10 -$50 or a coinsurance fee of 10 percent to 50 percent.
Most wounds should heal within two to six weeks. An individual should seek chronic wound treatment if a wound has not begun to heal after two weeks or is not completely healed after six.
Most health insurance plans cover wound care. Patients should check with the clinic and their health insurance provider before seeking treatment to be sure.
