Color Works does a great job when they send the right crew. We contracted them to paint our living room and kitchen. The estimated time to complete the job was 2 days, however due to humid weather conditions, the paint had difficulty drying in the estimated time. On the third day, a different set of painters showed up to finish the job and unfortunately the quality of work did not match the level of skill that the initial crew displayed on the first 2 days. As a result, the initial crew had to come back and clean up after the sub-par crew, which took an additional 2 days of work. (I'd like to point out that the workmanship of the initial crew was phenomenal. Specifically George and Robin, they are good, trustworthy guys who work very hard to produce a great result.)Now, in all fairness, anyone who had already paid a decent amount of money for a job that took three times as long to complete as originally estimated would undoubtedly be frustrated. However, Color Works took responsibility for the mistakes made and lived up to their warranty. They offered to paint our hallway free of charge, which was in fact completed within a day, as well as patch any spots that we noticed in the living room and kitchen going forward. All in all, I would say that they do good work and are a solid choice but are in need of dedicated supervision. The supervisor is understanding and responsive, however if the quality between crews lacks consistency, the vision of the final product gets lost in translation. This could have been mitigated simply by having one person oversee the job from start to finish. My recommendation is twofold: 1. If you're contracting Color Works, be sure to be very specific about the full scope of the job so that you get an accurate time to completion.2. Ask that the crew remain the same between days so that everyone fully understands how the job is to be completed and what techniques are best utilized. (ex. sprayers vs rollers
We were very pleased with our recent experience working with Atlas on our new floors. We were fortunate to start the process by working with Rodney Cooper who walked us thru all of the options available to us. He was patient and took the time to answer all of our questions and after a couple of meetings with him, we decided to replace all of our carpet with COREtec Plus flooring. Max and Jose, who did our installation, started and finished the job the week that it was scheduled. They were on time each day and both made sure that the installation of the floor met our expectations. They were both easy to work with and quickly addressed any questions or concerns that we had. We were very pleased with the end result, our floors turned out great. Bottom line, all of the folks at Atlas that we came in contact with before, during and after, were pleasant and very accomodating. Granted, we could have gone someplace else to get our floors redone and payed less, but the confidence of knowing that the work was going to be done right and on time was worth it. We got a knowledgeable, experienced sales consultant, great service with calls returned on the same day, installers who showed up on time, work completed as planned, a beautiful floor and the peace of mind knowing that they will be there in the future if any problems or concerns arise. Thanks again to Rodney, the young ladies at the front desk and also Debbie Patterson who was a sweetheart the day she helped me when I came into the store when Rodney was out of the office. Great job!
My girlfriend and I went yesterday evening to look around for couches. We just moved into an apartment and have a really small living room so our options were limited. We were just planning on "looking", but the sales rep CARL was so nice and helpful we knew this is where we would buy our furniture. We both look young and have tattoos and are usually judged immediately based on appearance, but as soon as we walked in Carl walked right up to us with a smile and said, " how can I help you guys today?" At other stores we get a stare and the rep walks away. He walked us around and showed us all of our options, answered all of my questions, and checked on the prices of certain couches without ever showing any sign of annoyance or frustration. He even pulled out the bed of a sleeper sofa I was considering to show me the ease of the "pull out". The check out ladies , Sabrina and Selina, were awesome as well. The whole checkout process took maybe about 20-30 minutes and said my couch would be delivered 2 days later. HOW AWESOME?! They too answered all my questions to my satisfaction and didn't treat me any different than Carl did. The whole experience was just amazing and I wasn't expecting any of that at all. I will definitely be returning and referring people for all future furniture needs!
We had an unfortunate situation where water from a sink leaked and resulted in damaging most of the floors downstairs & some flooring upstairs. It could not have happened at a worse time, as we were preparing for our daughter's graduation party, at our house. Long story short, we went to Atlas Flooring on 1604 and Angela Cox was our salesperson. Angela came to our rescue and was instrumental in setting our expectations & helping us understand the world of flooring. She was patient, knowledgeable, and not afraid to interject her lifelong experience, where coordinating our color schemes were concerned. She was pleasant & mindful of our deadline concerns and was able to coordinate immediate help with scheduling and installation of our entire living room & dining room needs. She remained diligent and was then able to secure scheduling for our kitchen and pantry. We love the floors! We appreciate Angela Cox's professionalism and the work of the installers. We would not hesitate to use Atlas again, because of Angela and because Atlas has been around for many decades and will stand behind their flooring!!! Sincerely, Miguel and Esther Rangel
