My son has been attending Discovery World learning Center (Fountainwood) for around two months now. I wanted to let a few months go by before I gave my honest review. I will give the Pro's as to why I like it as well as any cons I have come across. PRO's: I viewed this facility after touring 6 others, some chain and some privately owned. This one stood out for several reasons being the following; as soon as I walked in I could smell and see the cleanliness of the front desk area, I was immediately greeted by a friendly woman, Ms. Tammy, whom happened to be the assistant director, she gave me a tour of the classroom that my son would be attending, she was knowledgeable on the centers processes and procedures, and answered every and any question I had with confidence. I also saw the friendly and engaging interaction that she had with every single parent picking up their child during the time frame I was there, and still managed to be engaged with me. Lastly, the daycare fees seemed affordable and a good median in comparison to other centers. As soon as I left the facility after the tour, I immediately knew that this was "the one". Discovery World Learning Center (Fountainwood) was the balance I was looking for in a daycare for my child. After being there for a little over two months, I can say with confidence that I truly believe Ms. Tammy is the backbone as well as the face of the center and she truly and genuinely cares about the children and their parents. Nine times out of 10 that I have been to the center to pick up my son, Ms. Tammy is the person that is greeting me with a warm hello. I am pleased with the care my son is receiving and I have piece of mind knowing that he is in good hands. CON's:Recent director changes, no notificationOverall I would recommend this center and feel that the PRO's outweigh the cons. I initially thought Ms. Tammy was the director when I first went in because of the mannerism and professionalism she holds. I see her face as well as my sons teachers (one of them being Ms. Pricilla) when I come in for pick up and immediately feel assured that he is in good hands. The staff is caring, nurturing, and attentive to my child as well as the others . The center is always kept clean and tidy at all times. Please don't judge a book by it's cover (or in this case, the building exterior) and give Discovery World Learning Center (Fountainwood) a chance.
