Aspen Heights San Antonio
Don't expect to get what you see in pics at Aspen Heights San Antonio but you won't know this until AFTER contracts are signed. On move-in day the front door lock does not work, light fixtures have non-working or no bulbs, closet shelves are broken, showers have mold, carpet is stained, concrete floors look nasty, ice maker does not work and there is an extra fee PER MONTH for the junk they call furniture in the rooms. Do yourself a favor and save hundreds of $ by bringing your own.If you expect to bring your pet, be warned, not only is there a $250 deposit there is also a $250 FEE, which is non-refundable, even if your pet never makes a mark in the place. Another thing you won't know til you are signed is that you are REQUIRED to buy a renter's insurance policy with certain pre-prescribed minimums. This costs another couple of hundred $/year. If there is a problem with your room, sure you can move, for an extra fee of $250 even if THEY make a mistake on what you are given.

Absolute Apartment Locators
Wow!! Cel is a consummate apartment locator. Upon calling him, he came across as friendly and jovial and let me know exactly what he do for me. After letting him know what I wanted and what part of San Antonio I wanted to live in he emailed me within the hour with several options. He even took the time to accompany me to a few of the apartments I considered. All his suggestions met my needs so I had great options. He made the process very easy and it did not feel like a hassle to deal with him. I'm glad that he was the first apt locator I called in San Antonio. I've worked with other apt locators and have not had the best experience. If you looking for someone who is on the ball and can get you what you need Apartment Locators is the one to call. The were no fees for his professional assistance, he only asked that I put his name down as who refereed me to the apartment.

Jb Goodwin Realtors
Dee McNutt, a realtor with JBGoodwin in San Antonio, provided me excellent service while looking for my apartment. I was surprised that she not only helped locate houses but also apartments. She was always available for communication and very flexible with her schedule. She was extremely diligent in finding me an apartment that met my needs. I would highly recommend her as a realtor. I recommended a co-worker to Dee to find an apartment. My coworker had been looking for housing that met specific criteria for a whole year and Dee assisted her in finding an apartment that met her needs in a very short period of time. My friend was extremely satisfied with her new apartment.

Apartment Guy Online
Wanted to compliment the service I received from this company and my Apartment finder, sheer professionalism. I moved in from NC and was amazed to find this service truly free. The gentleman assisting me in this process was very knowledgeable and did make the extra effort to contact the apartments and take me along to preview them. Furthermore, the company provided movers to unload my rental truck which was huge considering the apartment was on the third floor and at no cost to me. Thank you for the efforts and I truly appreciate it. Definitely recommend if your on the hunt for an apt in San Antonio.

Davidson Properties Inc
we lived in a davidson rental for three years and never had any problems with the company or the house. we actually had to break our lease early, but davidson and the owner worked with us, and after paying the reletting fees, the house was quickly on the market which was good for us because someone leased it a week later. the owner was wonderful and understanding of our situation so we are very blessed. we did have to have pest control come out a few times a year but thats pretty typical of san antonio. we have to do the same thing at our new place too here in houston.

Hendricks Property Management LLC
It has been a pleasure to be a tenant of Hendricks from day one. The whole team has been very easy to deal with, and super responsive with issues. From the office staff to the maintenance guys, you'll find nothing but helpful people you can rely on. Even their website is great, and makes paying rent online a breeze. As someone who has rented for almost 10 years, across various cities and states, from private owners, other management companies, and huge corporate high-rises, I can easily say Hendricks Property Services is one of the best.

Davidson Properties Inc
The staff has been very polite and helpful. We needed to move immediately and they were willing to work with us to get us in quick and easy. They emailed us the lease and we went through the whole process electronically which was soo convenient. The house is in good shape, but we've had a few maintenance issues since moving in (primarily AC) and they have been quick to get the problems fixed ---still getting used to the Texas heat, lol. We're very happy and hope to be here for a few years. Good neighborhood, good schools.

Eddie Real GCS
We used Eddie Real GCS to remodel our house back in nov 07. We wanted new carpets upstairs, woodflooring in living, dining and entry, and tile in the kitchen, bathroom floors and shower stalls. They also did our countertops and painted the entire inside of the house. They did all this for less than other places where trying to charge without countertops or paint. Everyone was nice and always showed up when they were expected. It took a little over 2 weeks. And we are extremely HAPPY! I am glad they were reffered to us.

Approved Electrical
Bill had the problem identified in five minutes. He expertly repaired our old junction box so we would have full power in our home while he ordered a new junction box and circuit breakers. On his return trip he installed the new box and circuit breakers fixing all of the electrical issues that we had been plagued with for over a year.Bill was thorough and methodical in his work. He took his time and made sure the job was done right the first time.I can readily recommend Bill and Approved Electrical.
Tips & Advices
Keep the following tips in mind:
  • Do not operate any electrical equipment while sitting or standing in water.
  • Don't overload extension cords or surge protectors.
  • Put caps on your electrical outlets if you have small children.
  • Call an electrician if you notice your sockets or switches are warm to the touch, discolored or if they make noise.
  • Keep electrical cords away from stoves, ovens and other sources of heat.
  • Do not use an appliance that has a frayed cord.
  • Do not staple extension cords into place or cover them with carpets or furniture.
  • When using extension cords, make sure to unwrap them before plugging them in.
  • Don't overuse extension cords. Have an electrician install extra outlets if you need a power source closer to you.
  • Only use light bulbs with the correct wattage for your lamps and light fixtures.
  • Contact a licensed electrician if you frequently blow fuses, since this can be a sign of an electrical wiring problem.
  • Have an electrician look at your fuse box to ensure you have the right size fuses and circuit breakers. The wrong size fuse or breaker can be a fire hazard.
  • If you have fault circuit interrupters installed in your electrical panel, make sure you test them at least once a month by turning them on and off.
It can cost from $40-$100 an hour depending on the job. This does not include additional costs for parts or trip fees. Make sure to ask in advance what they charge for or if they will provide a free quote.
In order to become a full-fledged professional, a person must undergo an apprenticeship with master and journeyman electricians. An apprentice needs 8,000 hours of practical work before graduating to the journeyman level. If an apprentice reaches journeyman status, he or she can complete most electrical work, but cannot design it until completing more testing along with 2,000 more on-the-job hours.
Yes. While all electricians need a license, not all of them do the same types of jobs.
  • Outside: These types of electricians work outdoors on electrical lines that connect to power plants.
  • Inside: Inside experts typically focus on commercial and industrial buildings that require a lot of power.
  • Residential: Residential electricians work with low-voltage systems and wiring to install fuse boxes and light fixtures.
Watch out for contractors that greatly underbid other electricians. If the price seems too good to be true, it probably is. Also, always remember to get the estimate in writing before settling on a company.
