Mobile Brake A.R. Service & Repair
If you are as tired of getting screwed by other brake job 'professionals' then Ceasar is your man. He's fantastic! His price is extremely fair and HE DOES THE JOB AT YOUR HOUSE! No need for a drop off someplace and wait for a ride home only to find out the price isn't anywhere near what was quoted you. All I've ever wanted in car repair is a good job, a fair price, and honesty. Ceasar is the whole package. This is the second time that I've used Ceasar. He is about as professional and honest as it gets. I called on a Tuesday evening. He arranged to come to my house on Wednesday between 11:00 and 11:30. At 11:00 sharp he showed up and evaluated my brakes. He said that the rotors looked fine and I just needed pads. At 11:30 he told me that he would be done at noon. At noon he was done. He charged me EXACTLY what he quoted me on the phone (plus tax of course).Ceasar is professional. His truck is clean, he wears a clean uniform, and he leaves the area clean. Tired of getting hosed by other 'professionals'? Me too, that's why Ceasar will be my brake guy from now on.

CD Tire & Muffler
Called them on a whim while driving in to San Antonio from Austin at about mid day on a Saturday. I explained to them how my muffler broke off of my '99 civic, and that I needed it fixed and reinstalled immediately for cheap, if at all possible. Carlos was honest, fair, and ended up only charging $75+tax for a brand new one, which included install fees. I shook his hand and called it $100 for everything, mostly bebecause he seems like a really nice guy. They took 45 minutes and I was in and out before I knew it. Would definitely bring car to them again

Mobile Brake A.R. Service & Repair
If you need your brakes done without being hit by ridiculous hidden costs, look no further! Since moving to San Antonio a few years ago, we have used Mobile Brakes AR both times. Ceasar fit us in with very short notice without any hassle. He stood by his warranty and didn't overprice. He is an honest, hard-working businessman which can be very hard to come by. We'll continue to use him in the future for all three of our vehicles.

Mobile Brake A.R. Service & Repair
Great experience! They are VERY UPFRONT about the job. NO SURPRISES, NO EXTRA FEES, they stick to their word. Cesar showed up at my house on time, in a professional uniform and was very polite. He explained the work to be done, showed me what he was doing along the way (I was curious), and actually came in a few bucks under the quoted price. I would recommend them to anyone and will not hesitate to call them again the future.

Mobile Brake A.R. Service & Repair
Amazing service with great prices. I appreciate the professionalism, courtesy, and integrity of this company. Midas (on San Pedro) told me I needed new rotors and was going to charge me $800. Ceasar took a look at my Jeep and informed me that my rotors were in excellent condition and only brake pads were needed. I am so grateful for this company's honesty and honor.

Mobile Brake A.R. Service & Repair
Brakes A.R. did an excellent job on fixing my brakes. I got an accurate estimate, in which he is not pushy trying to sell services which are not needed. He also went out of his way to come out a bit earlier than usual, to accomodate my time needs. I truly feel that his services are above the rest.

Alright, its true, these guys show up early. They're quick. They're nice and honest. I wish these guys would expand their business to oil changes, tune ups and the replacement of other parts as well. I would use them for all my automotive repairs. I am 100% satisfied with their service.
Tips & Advices
Ceramic brake pads are made from dense, durable ceramic. They are favored for their relative silence while driving compared to metal or organic brake pads. They also have little wear and tear on the overall brake system and are very reliable. However, they are more expensive than metal or organic brake pads. Additionally, their performance deteriorates in extreme driving conditions.
Brake rotors typically last between 30,000 and 70,000 miles.
Brake shoes are used in drum brakes--rather than disc brakes--which is the original braking system designed for vehicles. Just as brake pads are the friction component of disc brakes, brake shoes are the friction component of drum brakes. When the brakes are applied, a wheel cylinder pushes the brake shoe against the brake drums, which spin while the vehicle is in motion, and causes the vehicle to stop.
A squeaking or squealing sound when applying newly replaced brakes is normal. It comes from the rotor vibrating against the new brake pads. It should quiet down after about 250 miles, and should be more or less silent by 750 miles, when the brake system has had some time to synchronize itself.
This depends on the car, the brake system, and the car owner's driving habits. Typically, a car's brakes should be replaced after about 50,000 miles, but some car's brakes may last anywhere from 25,000 to 70,000 miles. Car owners shouldn't wait for a magic number to replace their brakes. They should check them regularly, and pay close attention if they hear any weird noises or if the car feels shaky while braking. Brakes are a critical safety component of a car, so it's important to stay on top of brake maintenance.
