Lone Star Carpet Care and Restoration
Unprofessional, Additional Surprise Charges, Poor Customer Service, Borderline Scam!First of all 2 Stars is generous...the only reason Lone Star Carpet Care and Restoration received any stars is because of the guys that actually did the work. I purchased this Groupon for $100, and it was supposed to be good for a basic carpet cleaning...or so I thought. I was given a time frame to have the carpets cleaned between 1pm-5pm. My family and I had already moved out of the area, so we were trying to coordinate our cleaning with our trip back to San Antonio...At 8am I called Paul at LSCC, and got his voice mail. I then sent him a text to confirm the appointment and time frame. 1pm came around and I still had not had any response to the missed call, nor the text message, so I called again and even sent an email(Emails and Texts are the appropriate channels to reach Paul, per Paul and his voice mail message). Still no response...My wife then called Paul once around 2pm, it went to voice mail. She immediately called back and Paul answered. Before Paul abruptly hung up on her, he was very impatient and lacking compassion for her and was not listening to her concern. We were aware of the time frame, but were only trying to verify that our appointment was still set. You see, we had already moved and had a 2 hour drive to get to the house that appointment was set for. We were only looking for a simple confirmation, but instead were met with hostility and absolutely no customer service. Once they arrived to clean the carpet, I was informed that beyond paying an additional $40 charge for stairs, that I would have to pay a $20 gratuity, Disposal fee, taxes...bringing the total to $117. This was not even including the $100 Groupon I already paid for. The total for the whole transaction was $217. This amount did not include special attention areas...it was a basic carpet cleaning! Definitely feel dooped and taken...Would not recommend EVER...It is too bad Paul is unprofessional, because his workers were kind and got the job done.

Atlas Floors Carpet One
This was my 3rd time using Atlas Floors so I felt it was long overdue for a write-up. I first used them to put some laminate flooring in my living/dining room. I was so pleased with the results that I had them come out a year or so later to extend the same laminate flooring into my bedroom. Fast forward to a few months ago when my fiancé and me were deciding what to do in our kitchen. We had some weathered linoleum that was long past its life span. I called my sales guy Rodney Cooper and told him we were in the market for a kitchen floor upgrade. Before I go on I want to personally recommend Rodney to anyone who goes to Atlas for their flooring needs. He was very accommodating, professional and will answer all the “dumb” questions you have! We went to visit Rodney about 15 minutes before closing time…now if anyone has ever been in the service industry there is nothing worse than getting 2 customers like my fiancé and me to come in towards the end of your day and drill you with questions! Rodney never led on that he was bothered by our late arrival, in fact he did the opposite and made us feel very welcomed and let us know how much Atlas Floors appreciated our business! We couldn’t be happier with the job they did in our kitchen! The workers (ask for Gallo…he was excellent) were very professional and timely. None of this “we’ll show up between 8am-12am” stuff. They gave you and hour window and they always showed up between those designated time slots. The worker’s attention to detail was beyond expectations! I am pretty OCD when it comes to expensive purchases and I want everything to be perfect. After they departed I went through the kitchen trying to find any imperfections….not one! Not to mention I was shocked with how clean they left my kitchen. We couldn’t be any happier with the results, in fact Rodney is already working up a quote for our 2 bathrooms!

We were very pleased with our recent experience working with Atlas on our new floors. We were fortunate to start the process by working with Rodney Cooper who walked us thru all of the options available to us. He was patient and took the time to answer all of our questions and after a couple of meetings with him, we decided to replace all of our carpet with COREtec Plus flooring. Max and Jose, who did our installation, started and finished the job the week that it was scheduled. They were on time each day and both made sure that the installation of the floor met our expectations. They were both easy to work with and quickly addressed any questions or concerns that we had. We were very pleased with the end result, our floors turned out great. Bottom line, all of the folks at Atlas that we came in contact with before, during and after, were pleasant and very accomodating. Granted, we could have gone someplace else to get our floors redone and payed less, but the confidence of knowing that the work was going to be done right and on time was worth it. We got a knowledgeable, experienced sales consultant, great service with calls returned on the same day, installers who showed up on time, work completed as planned, a beautiful floor and the peace of mind knowing that they will be there in the future if any problems or concerns arise. Thanks again to Rodney, the young ladies at the front desk and also Debbie Patterson who was a sweetheart the day she helped me when I came into the store when Rodney was out of the office. Great job!

Atlas Floors Carpet One
We had an unfortunate situation where water from a sink leaked and resulted in damaging most of the floors downstairs & some flooring upstairs. It could not have happened at a worse time, as we were preparing for our daughter's graduation party, at our house. Long story short, we went to Atlas Flooring on 1604 and Angela Cox was our salesperson. Angela came to our rescue and was instrumental in setting our expectations & helping us understand the world of flooring. She was patient, knowledgeable, and not afraid to interject her lifelong experience, where coordinating our color schemes were concerned. She was pleasant & mindful of our deadline concerns and was able to coordinate immediate help with scheduling and installation of our entire living room & dining room needs. She remained diligent and was then able to secure scheduling for our kitchen and pantry. We love the floors! We appreciate Angela Cox's professionalism and the work of the installers. We would not hesitate to use Atlas again, because of Angela and because Atlas has been around for many decades and will stand behind their flooring!!! Sincerely, Miguel and Esther Rangel

Atlas Floors Carpet One
I had been putting off replacing the carpet in our master bedroom and hallways until I could find a company that I felt I could trust with the job. After researching local businesses I went with Atlas Floors. I am so glad I did. From the moment I started working with Sandy I knew I was in good hands. She was so helpful with carpet selection and her attention to detail helped calm any worries I may have had. She was in constant contact to make sure everything was going smoothly and I was happy. Danny, the carpet installer, did an amazing job. He was a perfectionist when it came to laying carpet. He made sure it was perfect. I appreciated the care they both took with the job. I will definitely be contacting them in the future to handle other rooms in my house.

Steam Master Cleaning Service
This company & it's employes offer great customer service. I called STEAM MASTER CLEANING and received same day service. I moved to SA into a rental property and the carpets were still dirty with stains from the last tenant. I would ask for Bryan Davenport as your technician because right away he knew what treatment to use for each stain. As far as the carpets, they felt new again and I'm very pleased with the service I received for a great price. Also I want to add that not only do they work on carpets but Bryan was able to restore my sofa that I had in storage and made it look and smell like new. I'm very happy the service I received and thank you Bryan for doing an excellent job!

SA Flooring Perfections...0percent Interest Free Financing Available
SA Flooring Perfections did an EXCELLENT job on my floors! The owner, Greg, came out and measured our home. He showed us our options and gave us several things to think about. Their prices were very competitive. We had 2 other quotes. The third did not show up. Kathy followed up with up and helped make our final decision. We ended up financing the floors with them They had their installers come out and begin installing a week later. They were a little late the first day, but they were on time the next 2 days. The guys were very respectful and did an excellent job. We are very happy with our floors! I would recommend them to everyone!

Steam Master Cleaning Service
Jacob did an amazing job cleaning our sofa and love seat this morning.Thank you!!I had never used Steam Master Cleaning until today and I am so thankful that I did. I appreciate the fact that they call before getting to your home and when they get there the van and equiptment are in perfect condition and clean. Also, the emplyee is sharply dressed, professional and friendly.Another thing is that he didn't try to push me to buy all the "extras." He explained everything to me, I knew what I wanted and that is what I got. I will highly recommend Jacob and this company to everyone I know.

We had an overall Great experience! We worked with Sherry Young and she was very patient and accommodating as we worked through the process of re-carpeting our entire home. After several visits and numerous samples, we found a carpet that we were happy with and now that it is installed, love. Sherry's follow up and advice were terrific. We were pleased with the price and the installers (Dan and Mike) as the installation process and final result is first class.Thank you Sherry and Atlas Floors.Wil & Becky

Tips & Advices
Homeowners can purchase carpet cleaners ranging from compact units to full-size industrial-strength machines. Some models specialize in removing allergens from pet hair, while others may work better on tough stains. Some carpet cleaners can be bulky and require ample storage space. Other features you may want to consider for in a cleaning unit include: attachments that work on upholstery, stairs, bare floors, or small spaces; brushes; and a removable hose.
Renting is usually much cheaper than owning a machine or hiring a service. But not all rental units perform equally, some might require extra drying time or the use of special solvents that will cost more. - Renting a unit means you must also move furniture yourself and pay close attention to ensure you're operating the unit correctly. Making a mistake could mean damaging your carpet or the unit itself. Improperly drying carpet could allow harmful bacteria and mold to grow.
Yes. This may involve specifying exactly what services you would like performed, as well as the size of your home's carpeted area. Make sure you understand exactly what is included in a quoted price. Some businesses may charge extra to move furniture, clean stairs, or use special treatment methods. Ask questions if any detail about the quote is unclear.
Decide which method you want to use by taking into consideration not only cost, but how long the process will take from start to finish, including drying time. Don't always go with the service offering the lowest price, or hire a service who advertises door-to-door or over the phone, unless you have done thorough research on them. Ask if the company conducts background checks on employees, as well as if they are insured in your state. Without liability insurance, a mistake that results in damage to your home or furniture may be your responsibility to pay for.
Using powerful solvents to break down dirt and stains, dry cleaning puts less physical stress on the carpet, and thus might be better in the long run. However, dry cleaning is usually more expensive than hot-water cleaning services. In addition, the chemicals used to dry clean carpets might irritate pets, people with sensitive skin, or anyone sensitive to strong odors.
