A-Star Bath & Kitchen Inc
Bad service. Missed appointment twice. Left Bathtub refurbished with many bubbles and was left with other problems - including inconsistent paint throughout. I called them to have them fix the problem as they promised, they told me they will... and I am still waiting to hear from them

A-Star Bath and Kitchen is a vendor for the company I work for and has done work on several properties for us here at Colonial Residential Properties. The work that they have done has consistently been superb, customer service is wonderful, they are quick to respond, and reasonably priced. This company isn't one you have to worry about getting taken advantage of.Jesse is very educated on the work that he does and always delivers over our expectations.

Safe Showers Inc
Tony Hernandez and his crew did an outstanding job on my tub to shower conversion. Very Professional. I'm recovering from a stroke and was having problems getting in and out of the tub. Now with my new Safe Shower, I don't feel as though I'm going to slip and fall every time I use it. I should've done this a long time ago. Thank you so much Safe Showers. Phil H. San Antonio.

We had called another well known plumbing service provider and were given a 4 hr window. 1 hr after that window they still had not shown up, anf when I called the said it would be another one to two hours. I called Wills Plumbing and they were at my house within 21 minutes. John was very professional and got the problem fixed. Thank you Wills Plumbing.
Tips & Advices
A properly refinished bathtub should definitely not look painted. If your tub looks painted, it probably was. A professional refinishing job should leave your bathtub looking smooth, shiny, and like brand new.
A newly refinished tub should last roughly three to five years, while a re-glazed tub’s life expectancy can be 12-15 years or more. All of these estimates are based on standard usage and regular cleaning and maintenance of the tub.
For minor tub cracks and chips, a basic refinishing is an effective and efficient remedy. But deep chips or cracks that may affect the integrity of the tub need additional care, such as fillings or even replacement. Consult a professional to determine the extent of your tub’s repair needs.
Depending on your tub’s condition, a standard in-house refinishing should take two to five hours. Factoring in time for the tub to dry, expect at least a day, perhaps two, for the entire process to be complete before you can use the tub. Re-glazing will take days or even weeks. If your tub has damage, excessive wear, or has been refinished before, the process can take longer. A contractor can give you more precise estimates.
Re-glazing is a specific method of bathtub refinishing, but it’s an involved process that usually requires the services of a professional glazer.  Re-glazing requires a furnace to melt the glaze onto the tub’s surface, so it cannot be done in-house. The tub must be removed from the house and shipped to a glazer, making it a laborious and expensive process. It is the process used in most original bathtub finishes.
