I have been dealing with this company for the last two years since being diagnosed with sleep apnea. I have not run into any problems, The staff are always courteous, replenishment supplies always on time. when I initially had problems with sizing of masks they responded with various sizes to try at no charge and were helpful guiding me as what to look for which made a large difference in the comfort and effectiveness. I have no financial interests with this company and work in a hospital. Not sure what the other folks ran into but I have never had these issues.

Fantastic! Dr. Silcox and his assistants have all been more than professional and friendly. I wanted my teeth perfect and Dr. Silcox was great at listening to my concerns and getting my teeth to how I wanted them. I will definitely recommend Dr. Silcox and his work! I especially recommend getting impressions done in the back room - it's not just anywhere that you get an experience like that.

My visit here was very good today! The hygienist I had today was so nice and caring and really made me feel welcome as well as the receptionist and the orthodontist. My gums have been bothering me ever since the last time I was in for a braces appointment and they made it clear that they cared and are doing what they can to help. I was very pleased with my visit.

Over the years with 7 kids and my husband all wearing braces, I have dealt with 5 different orthodontists and in all honesty Dr. Johnson and his staff are the best I have worked with. They have made me feel comfortable and important. I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience and will recommend him to anyone needing orthodontic care.

I am on my fourth child being treated here and all has been great. I really appreciate the consistency of being on time when I show up for an appointment. They treat my time as important as theirs. Their payment plans have worked out great as well. I have recommended them to several friends and neighbors and will keep doing so!

I disliked the experience of having braces, but Silcox Orthodontics was great about helping me through the process. They were super friendly, professional and helpful. I was nervous at first finding an orthodontist I could trust, but after my initial consultation with them, they had earned my trust and they have been great!

My son has been very happy with Dr. Silcox. He loves the cookies after the appointment. And from a mom's point of view, I think Dr. Silcox and his staff have been wonderful, cordial and knowledgeable. My son's teeth have been fixed and he doesn't look crooked anymore. My favorite part was the financial options they provide.

Dr. Silcox and his staff have been great with both Austin and Autumn. Very helpful with explaining to us about everything they are planning to do or what to expect. Has made our visits pleasant. I have recommended Dr. Silcox to anyone I know who plans to make orthodontist appointments.

Tips & Advices
While going to the orthodontist can be difficult, sometimes it's necessary. If you are concerned about tooth alignment, feel your jaw shift, or are experiencing problems like difficulty chewing or grinding your teeth, it's time to see an orthodontist.
There are generally three types of braces patients can be fitted for at the orthodontist:
  • The more traditional option, bands, wrap around most of a patient's tooth.
  • Brackets are the most popular, applied directly to the tooth in metal or plastic form.
  • Lingual braces are brackets attached to the back of teeth.
People of all ages can wear braces to straighten their teeth, but it is most common to be fitted for these adjustments between the ages of 10 and 14. This is the time when teeth are better able to be straightened because the head and mouth are still developing.
The American Board of Orthodontics recommends finding a dental specialist that is board-certified, offers free or reduced-price consultations, and displays qualities such as trustworthiness, ability to communicate effectively, and attentiveness.
Orthodontists must complete a four-year undergraduate program to gain admission to dental school. After earning a Doctor of Dental Science degree at an accredited four-year dental program, students must then either complete a post-degree training program or one to two years residency in orthodontics. Then they need to earn a state license in order to practice. Certain states also require board certification.
