Yeagle & Sons Construction
We are selling our house and had some small leaks to fix based on our home inspection. The company called to change the first appointment the day of because they overbooked. So there is strike 1. Then they came out to fix our leaks as said. Took them 45 min. The next day we receive our bill, and it is $267 for 2 small leaks. I thought it was very high and upon looking at the bill, we were charged not only 1.5 hours for what they did (only there for 45 min), we were charged that twice because they had 2 technicians there. When I called and asked about it the owner of the company (John) and told him that those leaks did not require 2 technicians, he proceeded to tell me that the job after ours requires 2 so it didn't make sense to leave one guy at the shop and then have to go back and get him later, so they both came to my house...that is not ok. I am not responsible for the job after mine. If my job is small enough to require only one person than I should be charged just for that person doing the job and only for the 45 min it required! Also, found out that they found a leak in the shower (we did not ask or tell them to fix this!) and they took it upon themselves to fix that leak instead of the original leak on the master bathtub so they called my realtor and made another appointment to come back out and fix the original leak that was supposed to be fixed. This company is rude and unprofessional and will try to rip you off any chance they get! DO NOT hire these crooks!

Jeremiah Rex Smith Construction LLC
I had my drive way repaved close to winter but insisted it wasn't to late in the season. I had him do the work, he was replacing sidewalk also so the city got involved. And thank goodness or i have no doubt my driveway would fall apart in a couple years. My initial bid was about $600 less but nickle and dime a bunch of additive and extras because of the weather, not a problem if it was up front about the extra cost. put handing me a bill from your truck in the middle of the street saying you need more money is horrible. He also ended up charging me for a 4x4 piece that he said wasn't going to cost extra. In the end i'm sure it's a study piece of concrete but I have tried calling several times because there is a dip in the middle and water gathers there when he promised it would drain correctly without a drain system put in. In the end my driveway cost more then the next bid and they were going to put in a drench drain system and do it correctly. Don't trust what this guy says, and his opinion is not right regardless of his nice trusting demeanor. Cross checking what he saying with half a dozen other concrete companies he has come up full of crap. Very frustrated i spend that much money when i know for a fact i could of got a better driveway with proper draining for less money in the end.

Synergy Staffing
This company is awesome! The staff tries to accommodate everyone as much as possible and always has a variety of jobs! The way they genuinely care and do their best to work with and respect everyone is what really sets them apart, I haven't encountered that sincerity most places I've been!

Jeremiah Rex Smith Construction LLC
Jeremiah Rex Smith and his crew has done several jobs for me at home: Two concrete jobs, which were done with care, using great technique, on time, and the envy of the neighborhood. We discussed details ahead of time, answered every question, before and during the work. I used his company because he stressed craftsmanship and had a crew that had been working with him for a long time. All were very responsible. He always listened to what I needed to be done.Jeremiah also acted as general contractor for a deck. He made the project flow smoothly and matched the job to some excellent sub contractors. I will be using him again in the future.

Jeremiah Rex Smith Construction LLC
I am the owner of Jeremiah Rex Smith Construction and wanted to reply to the review from Soror V. and set the record straight. I received the following letter from the owner of this job."Jeremiah did commendable work in my back yard. He is a fine, gentle, competent man whose work is flawless. But the renter at this property took a dislike to Jeremiah so decided to post a derogatory review on him. This is my desire to set the situation right. I would not hesitate to hire him again. I recommend him to anyone wanting an excellent job... You will be glad you did! –D. Petersen. September 2015."This home owner actually hired me back to do a second job for her at her home one month later.

Phil's Fine Flooring
I would highly recommend Phil’s Fine Flooring to anyone that is looking to get any kind of flooring or window treatments. Phil’s did a great job installing carpet in my basement & on the stairs. I loved the selection of carpet I had to choose from. We decided to go with two different types of carpet: 1 for the bedrooms & one for the stairs & hallway. I have a lot of traffic on the stairs & hallway, so I selected a commercial grade carpet there and then went with a beautiful plush carpet for the bedrooms. He had all types of carpet & I was able to have the carpet match perfectly. In addition the pricing was very reasonable. His team was professional, worked quickly & did a beautiful job. They were respectful of my dogs & didn’t let them out as they brought old carpet out & new carpet in. They were also respectful of my time. In addition to carpet they installed new vertical blinds & did a great job there as well.

Tips & Advices
In most states, contractors are required to have a license before taking a job. Some states also require registration. To be licensed, contractors must pass an exam and meet certain qualifications that prove he or she is a competent flooring contractor. Registration is simply a list of who will be performing a job.
The time it takes to install flooring depends on the type of flooring and the size of the room or rooms involved in the project. In one day, a typical contractor can usually install up to 2,000 square feet of carpet, 600 square feet of hardwood or laminate, or 400 square feet of tile or stone.
  • Do you have a professional license, insurance, and a business liability policy?
  • Who will work on the project?
  • Do you subcontract, and do you screen workers and have insurance policies to cover them?
  • Do you have references or examples of your work I can see?
  • Do you charge for an in-home estimate?
  • What type of flooring is best for my home in terms of architectural consistency, environmental influences (such as whether a certain type of flooring will be affected by humidity in my area), and durability?
Legally, insurance is not necessary, but it's a good idea for flooring contractors to have it. When hiring a flooring contractor, ask whether the business is insured. If it's not, consider that a red flag.
A flooring contractor should know the pros and cons of each flooring option. These might include pricing, time of installation, durability, and average lifespan of the material.

Just a moment...
