Angela's Catering Inc.
Not only was I 100% impressed by Angela's Catering, but I was 110% satisfied with the wonderful job they did. I contacted Angela's Catering to ask for a bid to cater a Celebration of Life for a dear friend who recently passed. From the first moment Angela heard about the type of event I was planning, she was sympathetic, very patient, and abundantly helpful. All of her bids were impressive and affordable. She was able to adjust her bids and menus until we found just the right one. Angela was quick to return all of my calls and answer all of my questions while planning the event. The day of the event, Angela's staff was professional, friendly and very attentive. In fact, before our guests arrived we asked if they would like to sit and have breakfast with us because we immediately thought of them as friends, not just the caterer. All of the food was delicious. There was a variety of hot and fresh quiches. An assortment of breakfast pastries, including the most amazing cinnamon rolls I have ever had! The prepared an extravagant, yet inexpensive, fruit display that was both visually impressive and mouthwatering. Our event ran longer than we had scheduled for Angela's staff to be there, so they made sure to leave any remaining food out, nicely arranged, on the buffet table for our later guests. When Angela's staff left, they left the kitchen spotless and our guests satisfied. As an event planner myself, I look forward to being able to recommend Angela's Catering to anyone looking for an excellent caterer. Angela's Catering was a highlight of the Celebration for my friend. The event as a whole would not have been so comforting and special without their support. Thank you Angela's Catering for making this last special memory of my friend a happy one!

Le Croissant Catering
We have used Le Croissant many times over the years and have found them to be reliable, creative, easy to work with and willing to go above and beyond. Our most recent event was a four-hour reception that had approximately 1,800 guests. This event went from idea to fruition in just 11 days. At no time did anyone at Le Croissant hesitate to step up. When our event planner declined to complete the event, Christopher Sanchez at Le Croissant stepped in and became our event planner, arranging floral, furniture, and layout, not to mention the six-foot-tall wedding cake as the centerpiece of the event. He went so far as to find lighting to make the cake glow so guests would notice it from the moment they stepped through the door.Le Croissant brought the perfect amount of food. We had many, many people complement the food and how much was available. When we were promised street tacos, we expected a tablespoon of meat on a 3-inch tortilla. What we got was a healthy ladleful of pork that melted in your mouth. The food has always been delicious and extremely creatively presented. The team knows “wow factor,” making each event we’ve worked together on a true experiential success.I heartily recommend Le Croissant without hesitation.

Pallet Bistro
Been here twice, mixed reviews. The first time I went, I really enjoyed Pallet and for $26, I thought the steak was really delicious and the sides were great! This time, I ordered the halibut special and it was mediocre at best. When my server asked how I enjoyed it, I told her it wasn't my favorite and she asked if I wanted to try something else. Great customer service if you ask me! And my glass was never empty. Speaking of, they serve soft drinks in jars! Great details like this are awesome in the space. It's a super hip, vintage feel with fantastic lighting. The gnocchi is the best I have ever had--less pasta-y and more dumpling-y. Great sauce, slightly sweet. The truffle fries are good, but not fabulous. The seating is "community" seating which means you could end up sitting by complete strangers which is great if you are a people person ...and I am not. My first visit I watched the ladies next to me give me constant eye rolls. The second time I went, I called ahead for a private table ...and totally felt like a celeb! (Worth it!)

Blu Empire Catering and Cakes
I was hesistant to use Blu Empire Catering because of all the reviews. We called about a week in advance to place our order. She took some time to get back to us on some occasions (she has another job, so that is understandable) but she was great to work with and took care of us. She gave us extra food. Everyone loved the luncheon. The food was delicious. I would recommend Blu Empire to a friend. Don't get scared off by the negative comments. Be patient and follow up with her. She may take some time to get back to you. You can text and call her.

Beer Bar
Awesome place. 100 beers in bottle, 30 beers on tap. Lunch menu was 14 different kinds of sausage with 7 different toppings (choice of 2) and French fries with 5 different dipping sauces (choice of 2). Yes, it's a simple menu, but it quality and it's easy. Awesome. Staff very knowledgeable about beer recommendations - I like IPAs but wanted to try local. Had a 2nd row Acceleration IPA - clean, crisp, hoppy single and a 2nd Row Random IPA - red rye double, full flavor, good hop, excellent double. Both were quality recommendations.

Chuck-A-Rama Buffet
I was on a tour of Salt Lake City and this is where the tour stopped for lunch. Normally buffets are ok, but not great. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was here. They had a decent variety and one must have the rolls with honey butter (I had to have two) although I should have stopped at one. I'm also a big root beer fan, and had not seen a barrel with a couple variety of root beer flavors, which made the restaurant fun. If you go, I hope you have the same experience I had.

Red Rock Brewing Co.
Slow service, good food.I always love the macadamia encrusted salmon (because it is good!), but when I see the bottom of my Diet Coke ...nobody wins. They took a long time to take our order, make it, refill drinks and get us the check. The French Onion Soup Sandwich? DELISH. So glad the husband got this so I could try it. The onion rings are also really yummy. Great vibe in this place--loud, busy and lots of fun ...I just wish we had had better/faster service.

Stoneground Restaurant
We spent roughly $23 per person at lunch the other day. It wouldn't have been a big deal, but the portions have shrunken. A Steve's special, even at lunch, used to be a full plate of pasta. Now it's a tiny bowl of pasta surrounded by salad. Still delicious, but you can get the same quality of food and more of it for the price.... at Cinegrill.

Just a moment...
