Drain Detectives
We had our basement flood with sewer water last night! 3 inches of water in the laundry room and more in the bathroom! We found these guys on Google, read the reviews, and called them over! Matt (owner) said they'd be here around noon. We asked that they come asap. They showed up much earlier then expected (about 10:30). Matt and his apprentice were very friendly and informative! They let us know exactly what was going on and what they were doing to fix it. We were charged exactly what we were told on the phone to the penny even though they did much more than they had to. They fixed the problem downstairs with a 100 ft snake, unclogged an upstairs drain, and fixed a wobbly toilet (Which they had to remove). All for a very affordable price. We expected to pay well over $300 and paid only $230. The work they did is also guaranteed for 90 days! We would definitely recommend them and will use them again for any future needs.

I rarely write reviews, but am making an exception here. I've had a lot of various contractors repair things at different residences, usually they leave a mess and often give off a creep factor, making inappropriate remarks.. Mark Mangone, the man who came out was nothing like that. I felt comfortable having him in my apartment & on occasion talking with him. He fixed the leak the first visit but came back to secure it with some plumber thingy I don't remember the name of. Also, he didn't waste time doing his job. He was friendly and personable, even to my dog! Highly recommend this company. ~ Dutchies bff

Mark Mangone is by far the greatest plumber Ive ever had. We were told by our pool man that our water heater was shot. We called Mark to take a look and he said he thought he could fix it. After ordering in parts and hours of tedious work repair and cleaning he got it working. It works better than new! If that isnt amazing what is? Honest and reliable to a fault. Great guy!!!

I had a really great experience with Mark getting a new water heater installed. Even though it was a challenging tight fit, he got the job done professionally without hickups. He went above and beyond, changing out a clogged water supply line under the sink and caulked an area too. I would highly recommend this local company for all your plumbing needs.
Tips & Advices
Before you hire a plumber, contact their past customers if you're able to. These people can be a wealth of information if you ask them the right questions. Pose the following queries to these former patrons when you get the chance:
  • Were you pleased with the work done?
  • Was the project completed on time?
  • Did the plumber give you a written warranty and guarantee his or her work?
  • Were there any unexpected costs that arose?
  • Would you hire this plumber again? If not, why?
A permit provides added assurance that the work is done correctly. Having this in place means an inspector will check the work your contractor or plumber does to ensure he or she did the job correctly. If you plan on putting your house or commercial building on the market, a real estate agent and prospective buyers will want to check any large work you did to make sure it was done properly.
A trustworthy plumber will have both commercial liability insurance as well as be bonded. The insurance and the bond protects the plumber from paying for any damages made to your house out of pocket. Having professionals that carry both of these policies can protect all of you from any mishaps that could occur while they work on your building.
  • Before calling a plumber, try to unclog your drains and toilets yourself by using a plunger.
  • Make sure you use a standard bell-shaped plunger for your sink and shower drains and a plunger with a flanged end for your toilets.
  • If neither type can loosen the pipe blockage, put a plumber's snake to use.
  • Ratchet the snake down the pipe to eliminate any clogs.
Usually, a leaky or dripping faucet is an easy fix that can be done by anyone who is even slightly handy with tools.. To fix it, first shut off the water under the sink then remove any decorative parts of the faucet and replace the washer and O-ring before reassembling everything.

Just a moment...
