YP - The Real Yellow PagesSM - helps you find the right local businesses to meet your specific needs. Search results are sorted by a combination of factors to give you a set of choices in response to your search criteria. These factors are similar to those you might use to determine which business to select from a local Yellow Pages directory, including proximity to where you are searching, expertise in the specific services or products you need, and comprehensive business information to help evaluate a business's suitability for you. “Preferred” listings, or those with featured website buttons, indicate YP advertisers who directly provide information about their businesses to help consumers make more informed buying decisions. YP advertisers receive higher placement in the default ordering of search results and may appear in sponsored listings on the top, side, or bottom of the search results page.

We took my 1 year old son there for his first haircut. When we first walked in the receptionist was moody with us. She asked my son's name and I'll spelled it for her because it is a harder name to spell. We got Alex and did so good with my son. He was quick and worked well even with my son moving his head. Miss Cookie was also very friendly and helpful while we were there. Then the receptionist misspelled my son's last name on his certificate. When I pointed it out to her, she again got very moody with us. Miss Cookie told us that Alex will be moving on to Great Clips, we definitely be going to him again. The price was good and other than the receptionist everyone was very friendly.

I attended school hear several years ago. The classes are small and you get a lot of personal attention. I learned everything I needed to breeze through my State board exams. I also learned a ton of additional things that really helped me stand out from the crowd when I left school. I was hired to work at a Spa straight out of school and started with the confidence knowing that I was given the knowledge and skills to do my job. I have now opened up my own spa and owe a lot of my success to my instructor Kristi Papst. I would recommend this school to anyone who wants to be successful in Esthetics.

i've been going to the Aveda Institute for services for about a year now. i absoulutely love spa services, but in this economy i've had to cut back. i've found the perfect solution - Aveda Institute! I can get facials for only $20!!!! I also get my hair done there. I always get compliments on my highlights, the only negative side is that it takes a bit longer for the students to do the hair services, because they are, well, students!!\r definitely worth much more than they charge for the services. i'll be a devoted customer for years to come!

This is not a review on the beauty services offered by Empire. This is a review to anyone out there thinking about attending this "school." First of all, let me be clear that The Hair Design School (also known as EEG/Empire Education Group) is a BUSINESS. In othr words, if you're a potential student, please do your homework and ask any & all questions that you can think of before you sign ANY paperwork. If any red flags pop up, don't ignore them like i did. My story goes like this: I attended their school in Winston-Salem, NC for 4 months and ended up owing $1952 and some change when i had to withdraw. The reason for my withdrawal was some attendance issues on my part, a week of car trouble (radiator; i was 26 miles from the campus) and a broken ankle th week after (had a lot of bad luck all @ the same time). I wasn't comfortable going back to school with nothing but a splint on, so i felt withdrawing was th best thing for me in th long run. I didn't want to take a chance and injure myself even more. Now, with all that being said, if you do decide to attend, hope, pray and keep your fingers crossed that nothing like that will happen to you. Because if it does, they will make you (yes, you have no choice) wait 6-7 months before you can return. Here's how their system works: every 6 weeks there's a curriculum change. There's Haircutting for 6 weeks, Nails for 6 weeks, etc. Now, if you have to withdraw for whatever reason, they won't let you come back until the curriculum comes back around where you left off. I calld the home office in PA to see if an exception could be made. After all, I'd be out of a cast in 6 weeks and I'd be on my merry way. Nope. No chance. No exceptions. so i decided to leave because i can attend a community college for a fraction of the costs of attending EEG, which is about $18,000 after the dust settles. Think long and hard before going to this "school."

I was referred here by a friend who suggested that I give it a try. I typically do not get my nails or feet "done" and was skeptical because my friend told me that the work is performed by students. The price is VERY reasonable. Even though it took about an hour and a half for a pedicure, it was well worth it. No one would ever guess that may toes had been done by a student!

From a customer's point of view, this is a place to stay away from. My daughter went in for a simple highlight from a student graduating in two weeks and who had supervison of an experienced, expert teacher. They used two different colors, did not condition, did not use toner, and fried her hair. Dye was left in her hair after a wash because the girl did not know how to wash and rinse properly, apparently. We will spend more money fixing this big mess than we would ever dream. A black lady getting her hair straighten was seated near my daughter and her head was burnt. My hair looks like hay and the color is so off, it looks like fake halloween hair. You might as well get some one randomly off the street to do your hair.
