I've had good experience with this clinic. I haven't experienced any rudeness from the staff and I have been able to get problems' solved.

This clinic is consistently violating patient rights and doing blantaly illegal things. I issued a complaint with my insurance. On my next doctor's visit, "Dr." Chen said he was to uncomfortable to be my doctor anymore. Knowing I have severe anxiety he took advantage of my inability to think clearly to make me sign change of doctor request forms. At no point does he mention that I don't have to change doctors and in fact it is ILLEGAL to make me switch because of a complaint I filed. I am sure that some of the doctor's and nurses working in this clinic are wonderful people. They should jump ship as soon as possible. It is only a matter of time until this clinic is sued into oblivion. I would start the suit if I wasn't incredibly poor and on medicaid. The Primary Care Doctors in the Salem area are inept, rude, uninformed, and uncaring (with a few exceptions). I know this because my doctors when I lived in Eugene where the complete opposite. Stay away is possible.

Eric Chen jumps to conclusions, instead of listening. Prescribed the wrong medication for my symptoms.I met with a behavioral specialist, who was caught lying.I was referred to Ivan Gutierrez as my mental health specialist. It is clear to me that he isn't qualified to handle people with mental illnesses. He didn't ask me anything about my past or present situation.DO NOT GO TO THIS CLINIC. IT IS GARBAGE.

I go there so sent my 23 year old there who has symptoms of fibromyalgia. Dr Chen ran the basic blood work. When that came back normal I asked for 2 blood test that 1) would show markers for it. 2) the other to rule out lupus. He denied those tests. Wanting to refer my son for behavior therapy. My son works out everyday...drinks lots of water and takes great care of himself so that doesn't make sense. Ive called twice adding to speak with a supervisor to complain. They are good at ignoring a patient. How can you be your own advocate when you cannot get a doctor to help you figure out what's wrong? My sin told me at the appt within the first 5 mins Dr Chen wanted to pass him off to another doc... like he didn't want to work for the patient who is paying his salary.this whole situation is BS and not professional. It's been Two weeks..two phone calls and no response from a supervisor.

There are staff within the clinic that are exceptionally nice. Though, some of the nurses along with the doctors don't seem to genuinely care about the patients needs. It takes for ever to see a doctor and then they just send you away with a prescription without thoroughly examining the problem. I do NOT recommend this clinic to anyone who needs assistance with any health issues.

The nurse staff can be very rude. I was yelled at over the phone after simply confirming my name over something that did not need the attitude. They care little about patients actual needs. I would not recommend anyone to go there themselves or take any of their family members there. If you are looking for quality care look somewhere else.

Dubrule, Nadine B, MD
She's left Salem and moved on to Bend. She's a VA doctor now. I fully expect the death rate of veterans to go up with her hire by the VA.

Tips & Advices
An osteopathic physician practices a comprehensive form of medicine that takes a holistic approach to a person's health. Instead of specializing in one system or set of organs, an osteopathic specialist focuses on the health of the total body. This includes evaluating environmental factors that affect a person's well-being.
Many family doctors deliver babies, especially in rural areas without a nearby OB/GYN. However, most family doctors only deliver for low-risk pregnancies and do not perform cesarean sections.
Family nurse practitioners are highly educated nurses able to provide medical care individually or with the assistance of another professional. Family nurse practitioners obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and then take the National Council Licensure Examination to begin working as a registered nurse. Then, they continue their education and obtain a Master of Science in Nursing. Following that, they become certified in family practice via the American Nurses Credentialing Center of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, allowing them to become certified family nurse practitioners.
Some family doctors provide immunizations while others do not. Typically, doctors who work as part of a large practice are more likely to offer vaccines in-house. Doctors in offices of one to two physicians are more likely to refer patients to a public health department or other immunization provider.
A physician's assistant is a person qualified to perform routine medical services. This individual is professionally licensed and certified, but they may not have the extensive med school education of a doctor. That said, PAs do complete almost three years of postgraduate study and more than 2,000 hours of rotations.
