Carlo's Automotive Services
What Jerry says it's true I also took my car to fix it but the mechanic told that it needed a new transmission when it didn't need new transmission and he wanted to charged me a lot to replace it so I decide to bring my car home and he didn't let me drive that car, so I used a tow to bring it home and he charged me more that $300 for doing nothing to my car Please don't go there & take care with your cars

Advanced Automotive
They provided immediate response to a crisis brake problem - they kindly gave me a ride home while they worked on my car.Never could I have received better service - I had tried Les Schwab in West Salem, but they told me to wait 45 minutes to even LOOK at it (not even including work to be done) and after a half hour I left their facility (they never even looked at my car in that time.) I am grateful to the terrific staff at Advanced Automotive! Thank you!

The UPS Store
The new owner is very rude and hard to get along with. In addition, my tenant left rent money in the form of three money orders which were to be put in my box. One of the money orders ended up being cashed at Walmart that night. The employee in question said she had put it in the mail instead of in my box.

Certified Power Systems
Fair and honest!! My SUV was having intermittent starting issues and had to be towed to the shop four times in as many weeks. I finally had it towed to Certified Power Systems where they quickly went to work on diagnosing the problem. They narrowed it down to an electrical issue, and when the first fix didn't work they went back to the drawing board and worked diligently until they figured it out. The first fix was spendy so I was pleasantly surprised to hear that they weren't going to charge me anything additional for the subsequent parts and labor required to finally resolve the issue. I guarantee that I came out ahead on this deal. Rick and his team were great to work with. Keep up the good work!!

Carlo's Automotive Services
This guy is thief! Carlos did notf fix my car and didn't even take the time to work on it, he did a work around making me spend a lot of money to get a fix on it and all he ended up doing was messing up my engine. I'll never bring it here! Please don't bring it to this mechanic. He then wanted his money for "working" on my car, but my car was not working and the part he said he worked on was never replaced and he had that he had it changed. I don't recommend this mechanic. All this mechanic did was say he worked on my car and charge me, but didn't do anything. My friends that have taken his car there told me that he did a dirty job for them buy replacing parts with used junker parts when they had order brand new parts. He saved money on the parts and charge a lot to supposedly get it fix and giving him more money. What a thief! I am never recommending this guy and never going here.

TRS 24hr Towing, Salem
Towed my teenage daughters car from Evergreen mobile home park where signage was terrible. Signs to NOT park on the left side were further down and she didn't see it. Park owner claims he knocked on several homes with no one answering. Towing company started the bid at 450.00 the car was not even worth that and finally settled on $300.00 Wiped out 1/2 of her savings. Towing is a SCAM period. And this park should have their signs at the beginning of the park. Very sad to see both Evergreen and TRS get away with this.

Trinity's Quality Auto Care
I am very happy with my service (I had my front brakes replaced & a relay that was causing my headlights to turn on all hours of the night & brought my boyfriends car in for the front brakes as well), the quality of workmanship, and communication (they send out a really cool digital inspection by email, complete with photos!) received through Trinity's. I will be bringing our cars back for all future repairs and maintenance!

They do exceptional work and are really focused on quality. I found them on repairpal and wanted to leave them a positive review on multiple websites for the exceptional work they did for my diesel truck. Thanks.

Tips & Advices
Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill. The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done so you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage.
Yes. Not every type of auto repair work needs to be done by a certified mechanic. You can fix some of a vehicle's issues just by paying attention to how the automobile is running and having a basic understanding of auto repair. Look over the ways weather may impact your car and what preventative measures you can take to avoid having to take it into the shop.
