Noble Tires
They are quick and friendly, the prices are great. They did loose a center cap when they were putting on my new tires. I'm sure they will make that right. We'll see. They showed me a set of used tires that were OK, but I plan on keeping the car after my lease is up so I purchased a new set of Goodyear F1's with warranty. If they get me a new center cap I will give them a five star rating.

Les Schwab Tires
Bought 2 tires, 60k mile lifetime guarantee. 1 of 2 tires worn out at 32k miles. 28k miles lost! Expected to receive $ or credit on next purchase of tires. Did not happen. Asked twice, company did not respond. Wanted to know why tire failed. Company got real excited and tested ALL 5 of my tires right then, they tested for 55 minutes even put my car on their alignment machine. Found nothing and told me alignment is perfect. We had to buy two tires to replace the one so agreed to make right front tire the new spare even though old spare never used. Left front tire was tossed. Back tires were put on front since 65k guaranteed tires and only 24k used so 40k of available tread remaining. Keep this avail tread in mind, its important to this report.Wanted Cooper ATR tires because for past 11 years its only tire on this 4x4. Keep 4x4 in mind, its important to report. Co stated no longer carry Cooper ATR tires. As we were leaving company made this offer:We have extensive line of inventory. We can match 2 of our tires to 2 of yours (our Cooper ATR tires). Company thought Back Country tires could be a fit. Company stated if the BC tires are NOT a fit RETURN them and for free we will match them to 2 tires that are A BETTER FIT! Keep in mind this match agreement, its important to report.Turns out the Back Country tires were dangerous and not a fit. The Back Country tires had horizontal tread lines and our Cooper ATR tires had diagonal tread lines. Mis-matched treads on a 4x4 is bad. At freeway speeds the rear Back Country tires would push the 4x4 left out of its lane then right out of its lane, then right, then left...It was difficult struggle to try to keep 4x4 within its lane. 4x4 became very hard to drive and very unsafe! For 11 prior years on Cooper tires only, never had this scare!.Returned tires to West Salem Les Schwab. Told them not a match and to replace the Back Country tires with two tires that are a better match as you agreed. Wait staff took the order and agreed. When called to pick up car discovered our Cooper ATR tires with 40k future miles available had been removed from our 4x4 without our authorization and 2 more of the scary Back Country tires were installed. Wait staff would not tell us why our tires were removed. When we asked do you understand that was not the agreement they stared. They wanted $440 additional for the new tires. Tires the company previously said we did not need. BUT when you steal you customers' tires you force them to buy more. We asked for manager and of course he was not in that day. We instructed for manager Lye to call first thing Monday, today was Saturday. He did not call.Complaint filed against West Salem Les Schwab, its manager and Les Schwab Corp Office in Bend, OR. To date neither West Salem Les Schwab, its manager or Corporate Office and legal aid has replied to the complaint. We demand not only money $300 to replace the tires taken without authorization (stole), an additional $100 penalty for the unauthorized theft, PLUS we require the reason the company failed to follow its agreement with us. How would you like this to happen to you? Since the complaint filing, mngr left phone msg "there is no way my guys told you that was a 50k mile tire." He has said nothing further. Imagine you are responsible for a customer stating you not only failed to follow a simple agreement on a 2 tire sale BUT you are responsible for screwing up and causing an unnecessary 4 tire sale. Also since the complaint, West Salem Les Schwab now states they did not know the condition of the other two tires since they did not sell them to us. Come on guys, you inspected all 5 tires for 55 minutes, you knew their exact brand and remaining tire life. Quite fabricating.A responsible tire company, according to our new tire buds in Keizer, would rectify their errors and give you four new tires for free. It's good pr - admit mistake and pay. Life goes on.

Tire Experts
I went in yesterday and they said the work I needed would take an hour and to come back tomorrow at 8 when they open. I got there at 8 and asked if they could do an oil change and rotate the tires I bought from them a few months ago as well. It wasn't until 11:15 that they pulled my car into the garage and put it on the lift to make the repair. The repair took them 20 mins once they got started. They don't help customers in odrer, I sat there waiting only because the day prior they said it was an hour repair, they didn't mention that there was several people ahead of me or that it would take any longer then their estimate from yesterday. Then they didn't have the decency to tell If they changed the oil or rotated the tires. Considering I wasnt charged I'm going to guess not. This place has always had good prices when I call around for a quote. I have personally spent thousands of dollars on repairs at their shop and sent dozens of my friends and family to them but no more. To make me wait 3.5 hours for something that took 20 mins and not even do all the work I asked for and not even mention it is inexcusable. 3.5 hours is a long time to sit in a freezing cold waiting area I've never seen a dirtier waiting area! the vending machine is a good idea but card reader didn't work or have an "out of order" sign.

Tips & Advices
Yes. New tires purchased online can often be priced lower than ones at a tire dealership. Buyers can often avoid state sales taxes and locate hard-to-find tire styles and sizes, but will still have to locate a local tire installer and pay sometimes high shipping costs.
The average cost of a set of new tires is $637, with a range of between $525-$725. In addition, installation includes mounting and balancing, alignment, and disposal of old tires.
The vehicle is raised and the old wheels are removed, then the old tires are removed from the wheels. The lug nuts, wheels, and valve stems are inspected and replaced as needed. The new tires are mounted and sealed, then inflated and balanced. The wheels are then replaced on the car. The average installation takes approximately 45 minutes.
Agencies such as the Tire Industry Association promotes tire safety through advocacy and education to the industry including: manufacture, sales, repair, service and recycling. Seek a full-service tire dealer who carries a wide variety of tire types and brands and asks about the type of driving you normally do.
  • Move your car to a safe location.
  • Turn on your car’s safety lights, apply the parking brakes and remove the hubcap if there is one.
  • Loosen the lug nuts with a lug wrench (but do not remove them), raise the vehicle with a jack and then fully remove the lugnuts.
  • Remove the flat tire and replace it with the spare tire.
  • Tighten the lug nuts by hand, lower the car and then tighten them fully with the lug wrench.

Just a moment...
