Broadway Town Square Apts
The interior of the apartments is new, but the exterior entrances/exits and parking lot area lacks necessary security. There is a high volume of transients in this area and there is no secure means by which residents can traverse from their apartment units to the parking area, which means that you must come into contact with the transient population anytime you enter or exit the building. Transients are regularly sleeping in doorways outside the exits that residents must use to leave the building to get to their cars. In addition, vagrants loiter in the parking lot and are frequently intoxicated, aggressive, and threatening. I have lived here for over a year and have been repeatedly harassed by the transient population who loiter in this area. This morning, as I was leaving the apartment to walk to my car, two transients approached me in a threatening manner demanding a cigarette. They then proceeded to follow me, threatening me with physical violence yelling that if I didn't give them a cigarette, they would attack and sexually assault me. I brought the incident to the attention of the apartment manager, Will, who brushed me off saying, "BTS staff is not a police department." He followed with a rude and condescending email, while ignoring my safety concerns.I am currently paying a comparable amount in rent ($1355 per month) to what I have seen advertised at South Block and the Meridien, which are properties that have secure entrances and additional amenities this property lacks. If you are thinking of moving here, I would encourage you to visit the property during various times of the day prior to signing a lease. I made the decision to move here after a short tour in the afternoon; the transient problem is much worse in the morning and early morning hours. If I had seen what the property looked like in the morning, I would have never moved in. For this price, you can get a much nicer and safer rental in the Salem area.

Was a terrible place to live. Downstairs neighbor was shot in my parking spot by his girlfriend, but want evicted until 8 months later for parking issues! Noisy, angry tenants, for poop everywhere, they don't follow their own breed restrictions. Old manager was a joke, and the new one isn't looking much better. Dirty, trashy and ghetto!

We have lived in these apartments for almost two years and it's been the best apartment living thus far! The manager is great, very friendly and easy to talk to. Nice place to raise a family, lots of kids.

The managers for these apartments are horrible. They don't fix things like the fridge when it has been broken since we moved in 7 months ago... also they do nothing about our very rude and loud neighbors who stomp up and down the stairs all night when we are trying to sleep.

I don't even want to give this apartment complex 1 star. The previous owner of this complex was a drug dealer. That should tell you the type of people that live around here. The apartments (very dark, dirty, bugs, shag carpet, peeling paint I'm talking as ghetto as it can get) rented at $645. The new owners of the apartment complex have done nothing to fix the units, keep the hoards of children from running through patios (and coming into your apartment. Yes, I said into peoples homes) but they did lay bark dust, and paint. The have raised the rent to $825, and $875. Apparently woodchips and paint cost over $200 hundred dollars a month for tenants now. Do NOT be fooled by the pretty pictures on craigslist. This place is a DUMP. Consider yourself warned and do NOT rent here.

The new owner guy is so rude.. jumped up rent by 120 a month says its because a stupid rain tax and state increase im sure its not costing 120 per apt per month to cover that tax. When i asked what we can negotiate with an year and half renter that paid rent on time everytime he basically said nothing and that i can give him a 30day notice anytime and gladly will replace us with someone who will pay. That to me was a rude response, the apts are defenitely not worth 945 a month and would be willing to maybe pay that much and stay if he was a nice and seeing they r increasing oct1st we r going to be out by then if he doesnt change his ways and try to rip people off and be rude!!

Slum Lord Zone with the added bonus of criminal neighbors. One of which is this girl down on the far end that is known for drug use and violent behavior. Even after being arrested several times management still lets her stay there. She's drug skinny and has been seen meeting people in the parking lot in the middle of the night. She can't supervise either her kid or her dog. The dog runs loose and the kid screams bloody murder outside all the time, which causes her mother to scream right back. The people who just moved in diagonally from her aren't much better. The whole section knows about her and so does the do-nothing managers who must be hoping for a day in court with a hefty fine. If something needs to be repaired expect to wait months. If there's an issue be prepared to NOT have it addressed. They don't care who they let in or who is forced to pack up and move again. As long as they get that rent payment that's all they care about. Run away... run far away. Don't even think about applying. You'll regret it. Then again, if you're a criminal you'd probably love it there.

Just a moment...
