Caylor's Mobile Auto Repairs
I've used John's service many times for both my and my wife's vehicles over the past few years. He has always done a good job at a fair price, even more so considering he comes to you, and either works at your location or takes your car for free back to his place. I'm very skeptical about the review calling him dishonest, since on more than one occasion he has offered to NOT get paid when things didn't work out. One time my car refused to recreate the issue it was having earlier, and so he had nothing to analyze. He was going to leave without charging me anything (despite driving all the way to my house and spending time to look at the car) until I insisted to pay him something for his time. On another occasion after performing an oil system pressure test and replacing a sensor on my wife's car, he determined that the problem was a complex electrical system and wiring issue causing an incorrect warning to flash on the dashboard. He said he didn't have the specific expertise to do that type of electrical work, and felt so bad about not being able to solve the problem that he later offered to refund what he had charged for the work he did. We of course declined the refund, as what he did was necessary to be able to determine that there was not in fact a severe oil system problem, which was later confirmed by a Volvo specialist. He is one of only two mechanics I've used in my life that I would wholeheartedly recommend.

Jerry's Automotive Service
I was down in Florida to visit my 90 year old father. he had a clicking noise in steering wheel of his car and his long time shop told him it would be over 900 to repair. My dad did not trust what he heard. I looked up shops on line and after calling a up few Jerry was jammed buy agreed to look at it while I waited that day.I took him 30 seconds to check it out, show me what was wrong and gave us a price of 200 plus tax and set up appointment for the next day.Picked up car next day with noise gone, showed me old part and bill was exactly what he said it would be.I have been in the automotive field for 45 years and I was impressed that he did business the way EVERYONE should do it.Thank You Jerry.Michael Kohler, Westtown NY

J B Import Automotive Repair
I do not do reviews unless I am totally impressed and I am with JB. Finding an auto repair shop you can trust is near impossible but after 40 years of driving and dealing with numerous repair shops, I feel I found one and JB is it. You want to talk to Ryan von Steinen - he will listen, advise and take care of your vehicle. I know enough about cars to tell whether I am being taken for a ride ... Thank you for taking care of my vehicle JB. Honest and courteous and knowledgeable. They will remember your name and address your concerns.

Rainbow Muffler
Today was my first visit to Rainbow Muffler based other clients comments. Like most of the positive comments, I had a great experience with the professions that worked on my 1968 Camaro RS. They recommended a deep throated muffler system, fixed my drivers door handle and a marker light and parking light. Each mechanic was friendly and professional. No rip off at this shop. I'll be back anytime 'Camie' needs some maintenance. Do Not Heasitate to call or stop in.You'll find knowledgable and friendly stall!Mike (from 'Madeira Beach'.

I have to tell you..... John fixed my brakes today, and they work better than they ever have! My truck stops on a dime! I was referred to him by a friend who used him, and thought he was good. He quoted me 1/2 the price of the dealership to do more work!I can't tell you how much I appreciate your work..... You saved me lots of $$$! Contact Caylors for all your car repairs!

Anchor Central Automotive
I've been using this place for years, Mario has always treated me right and has never done me wrong. Even now my car is there due to some problems and he has charged me below the price. Even though I can't pay it all at once he has been kind enough to let me pay installments and not charge me the ten dollars a day for holding it. I appreciate his small town adatude.

Bay Area Auto Glass
These guys were really great when I needed to get my chipped up windshield replaced. They helped me file my claim with USAA, scheduled to replace my windshield in between classes on campus, and did a nice, fast, and thorough job replacing it. I didn't have to pay my deductible thanks to Florida law, good thing too with all of this construction going on!

Martin is an excellent mechanic, he works on all our company trucks and my personal family's trucks as well. So far I have never had any reason not to trust his judgement on any of his evaluations he has given me on my vehicles... Of course this man is and will be my personal mechanic on all our vehicles in our family. Thanks Martin.

Tips & Advices
Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill. The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done so you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage.
Yes. Not every type of auto repair work needs to be done by a certified mechanic. You can fix some of a vehicle's issues just by paying attention to how the automobile is running and having a basic understanding of auto repair. Look over the ways weather may impact your car and what preventative measures you can take to avoid having to take it into the shop.
