Mid America Service
Mid America was the 2nd repair person I called after the first company that came out refused to work on my Jenn Air 48" built-in refrigerator. I explained my situation to Mid America, they sent their best technician out to diagnose my fridge. He was very thorough, very familiar with this particular model, got the fridge running and gave me two possible scenarios for the issue I had experienced. Depending on if the fridge held temperature over the next week would determine which repair route to take. He gave me an instant estimate for both scenarios and explained very clearly what each would entail. I'm happy to report the fridge is holding temperature, meaning my repair route is the much less expensive route. I'm happy to have my Jenn Air back!

Crews Appliance Repair
I found Crews Appliance repair online and called because it had good reviews and it is close to my home. When I called, I left a voicemail and was called back within minutes of leaving the message. Gary was able to come look at my dishwasher the same day and had a very reasonable service fee. I had to order some parts to fix my dishwasher and it took a few weeks for Whirlpool to send the parts to me but the day I received the parts I called Gary and he was able to come install them the same day. He actually arrived about 15 minutes after I called him. Gary is very nice and reliable. I will be calling him for my next appliance repair. His labor rates are also reasonable.

Crews Appliance Repair
The power cord on my less than 2 year old stove burned in half and when I called Home Depot they said I had to "figure it out" because I didn't buy the extended warranty. I found the below reviews about Gary and gave him a call. He was very responsive and I explained my problem. He ordered my parts that day before my appointment so that he would have the necessary supplies when he came. He was easy to get a hold of when figuring out times, professional in appearance and he explained what he was fixing through the process. No corners were cut and he was very polite the entire time he was in my home. I'd call him again in a heartbeat. Thanks Gary!

Hi I had an expensive repair on our Frigidaire Gallery icemaker. Mike S was our repairman. He wrote down the parts I would need and gave me an estimate. He suggested I call Frigidaire to see if I could get some discounts on the parts or see if there was a warranty. Thank goodness I did it saved me about $500. When he returned to our house after the parts came in, he quickly repaired our icemaker and educated me on the refridgerator. He was very friendly and educated on the appliance. Our family is very happy to have ice again. Would not hesitate to call them again with an appliance problem.

Mid Rivers Appliance
Been dealing with these guys for years and they do not disappoint. They've been around a long time and I can tell why. Good prices on appliances. Fair quotes on the servicing of your existing unit and are up front about whether it is a good idea to stick money into your existing unit. You wont find that just anywhere. Bought a unit from them a while back and instead of buying another from them they told me it was far better to have that one serviced. They couldn't have been more right. Saved me money along the way and allowed me to hold on to my same unit that has been very good to me.

Crews Appliance Repair
Clothes washer broke down and was making really weird sounds when I tried to turn it on. I found Crews appliance on and figured I would give them a try because of their low rates. The person who answered the phone it would cost 49 dollars for them to come out and take a look at my washer. Once they did I had them fix it and the waived the $49 dollars to look at it. The person who came out was respectful and very knowledge able. overall it was a good experience and i would highly recommend that you use this service.

Tips & Advices
Aftermarket replacement parts can be perfectly safe and reliable, but be sure to do your research. If replacing a more integral piece, such as washing machine’s water pump or a thermostat for a busted water heater, it might be best to purchase new.
Replacement parts generally come with warranties extending anywhere from 30 days to five years, depending on the original price, the nature of the fix and the age of the part itself.
If you’re seeking new parts repair companies will generally mark up their prices slightly--particularly at a major national retailer. However, used parts are typically discounted.
Cheaper used appliance parts can be found online or at many local, independently owned retailers, along with ecommerce sites such as eBay. Major retailers, however, generally limit their selection to unused, full-priced options.
Second-hand appliance parts are generally anywhere between 50-75% cheaper than new ones, but warranties might not extend as long and the parts may be less reliable or come with a shorter lifespan. Be sure to research the source of any second-hand parts to ensure the dealer is reputable and the part itself reliable.
