1.Ray J's American Grill
9854 Norma Ln
Enjoyable place to meet at the end of the day with co workers! Good food! Enjoyable beverages! Delighting atmosphere! I very much recommend!
2.Sgt. Peppers Grille & Bar
930 Helena Ave N
Love this place, it truly is a place where they know your name.\r \r Food is excellent, new menu, Taco's are good!!\r \r Julie...is great! \r \r Update.....10/24/10\r \r Try SGT. Peppers breakfast, they are great!! Love the hashbrowns. \r \r Fun place to be after work, weekends for breakfast, anytime!\r \r And Julie is still Great!!
3.Olive Garden Italian Restaurant
1749 Beam Ave
I have to be honest the food here tastes like it's made somewhere else and delivered to the restaurant frozen and just is reheated. I've had others say the exact same thing when we've talked about it. The only great thing is the salad and breadsticks. \r \r The appetizers are too expensive. Not sure why? And contrary to the Foodies who like pretentious food, not all people like chunks of stringy tomatoes in their food. \r \r The wait staff and restaurant is nice, just wish the food was BETTER!!! \r FYI, I have never seen a contributor review that didn't boast good things about a restaurant...just believe everything you read from 'contributor' reviews.
2330 Prior Ave N
Super good tasting rolls before your meal arrives! I prefer the lobster...but there is an array of seafood selections made to order in the way you prefer! Perfect restaurant for family and friends!
5.Dickey's Barbecue Pit
3090 Courthouse Ln Ste 100
it got me sick both times i ate it
6.Cossetta Italian Market
211 7th St W
I stopped by Cossetta last night for dinner after Festa Italiana in St Paul (yes, I needed more food). I had the veal (AMAZING), pasta and 2 HUGE slices of pizza (1 sausage and 1 pep, onion and black olive). As usual, the food was unbelievably good! The veal was cooked to order (as it always is) and was light, crisp and tender. The pasta with it had the perfect balance of spicy tomato sauce and riccotta cheese. The garlic bread that came with it was hot and fresh and good! As for my pizza, OH MY GOD!!! It was AMAZING! Hot, cheesy, with a healthy portion of toppings. If you go there and miss the Italian sausage pizza, you have made a serious error! Great place, casual atmosphere, INSANELY GOOD FOOD, wine and beer available, reasonable prices - this is why I love coming here!
7.Rudy's Redeye Grill
4940 Highway 61 N
I would give Rudy's Redeye Grill 5 stars any day of the week. It is hands down one of my favorite places to enjoy not just a meal, but an experience. The Chefs are very good at what they do. The food is consistently absolutely phenomenal. Service can make or break a dining experience. The service at Rudy's Redeye Grill is tops in my book; from the hostess to the bartenders and servers. It is apparent that Rudy's Management knows what it takes to keep customers coming back again and again. I'm hooked.

8.Black Sea Restaurant
737 Snelling Ave N
We ate at Black Sea with our whole family, and the food was so good, my daughter and I actually felt a little teary. (We're ""foodies"", so perhaps that's not so unusual?) With the deliciousness of each bite, the pretty presentation, the friendliness and top-notch service of the owner, the photos of the owner's family on the menu covers and the price--it was simply a wonderful experience. All 5 of us had a different menu option--and with one vegetarian and one gluten-free eater, there were plenty of delicious choices. We wish the Black Sea every success in the world, and can't wait to eat there again!
470 Cleveland Ave S
Very yummy food and drinks. Great atmosphere and great employees! Also a quiet, relaxing restaurante. Great for a date or just a night out with some friends!
360 Saint Peter St
My fiance and I love the Bolognese Pasta and Margarita Pizza at Pazzaluna. We went to Pazzaluna in June for her birthday and took advantage of their birthday promotion where we got a bottle of wine equal to her age...for free! The murals and the decor are fantastic. You feel like you are in New York with the large windows.
289 5th St E Ste 104
My all time favorite restaurant. I have been there too many times to count and I have never been disappointed. The menu changes daily and everything is fresh. The staff are all wonderful, attentive, and willing to go the extra mile to ensure you are happy and well cared for. If you haven't been here yet, go as soon as possible. If you are looking for a wonderful dinner, and have an appreciation for organic, skillfully prepared food, hurry to Heartland. You will not be disappointed!! Also makes a great date spot.
5959 Centerville Rd
Best Restaurant and Bar Just Outside the Twin Cities I recently returned from a date at Tria. First, the restaurant and bar is beautiful - so warm, rich and cozy. The patio looks great and I am going to return in the spring. They had incredible happy hour deals and my date loved her Sea Bass while I truly enjoyed my steak. The amount of food was great along with really affordable prices. We felt special and did not have to go to a downtown, ""fine dining"" location.
857 Sibley Memorial Hwy
I make it a point to eat and drink here whenever I'm in town. I love the Italian fries, Minnesota wings, and of course the beer specials.

14.Panino's North Oaks
857 Village Center Dr
My family LOVES Panino's North Oaks! The food is wonderful--so many options for everyone--and the quality of the food is fabulous! The atmosphere is always very festive and friendly. We have been going there for many years and have had a great experience every time. We have also used Panino's for catering, and every time we do, we’re asked by all of our guests where we got the wonderful food. I would highly recommend Panino's!!!
2050 Snelling Ave N
The food here is great, although the service is fairly slow i was impressed with the way the place is set up. It appeared that they are understaffed. So i can get over the service, the people are very friendly and helpful.\r \r A++++==
3600 Lexington Ave N
Marianne's is the best non-chain lunch spot in the Shoreview area without question. The food is fresh and delicious (Philly Melt=Awesome!) and the woman that owns it is a lovely lady who always goes out of her way to take care of the customers. I would definitely recommend that you give Marianne's a try if you're in the area, it will be worth it!
17.Joan's In The Park
631 Snelling Ave S
This is a great neighborhood hang out and good business meeting place. Hospitable and clean. Delicious pizza. Excellent Crust. Convenient parking.
18.Blvd Bar & Grille
433 Mendota Rd E
I just had my daughter's 3rd birthday party and I ordered pizza's from Blvd Bar & Grille and they were GREAT. They make pizza's from scratch there and you can really tell the difference. We had about 35-40 people over for the party and everyone commented on the pizza and asked where it was from...the pizza was a big hit! Not only did everyone like it, but it was easy, just pick it up and serve on paper plates, no dishes, etc.... I have a feeling we'll be stopping by soon for pizza or I'll be picking one up on the way home from work soon.
19.Bennett's Chop & Railhouse
1305 7th St W
Best Fish and Chips I have had in a long time.
2540 Cleveland Ave N
How about NO stars!!! I do NOT recommend this hotel to anyone who likes to have a good time at a PARTY. I also do not recommend paying big bucks for 2 drinks and crappy food at their annual New Years Eve Gala. This is a rip off and was a waste of my time-go on a cruise or something!
2356 University Ave W
We just found this little restaurant recently, and wish we'd found it sooner. The food was very delicious. Good selection of items from appetizers to salads, pastas and entrees. Our server was super knowledgeable and we literally put ourselves in his hands to lead us through several courses, splitting and sharing different dishes and wines. We also had an outstanding Italian Mojito...mmm. After dinner we also split a huge chocolate bread pudding and a homemade tortoni (like an ice cream). The place is a gem...local art work, artistic tiles and lighting. Too bad there's construction on University Avenue---they were slow because of it apparently. We'll be back with our friends
2060 Randolph Ave
Luci Ancora is growing to be one of my favorite restaurants in the twin cities area. I went a few years ago and again last night and both times the service, food, wine and desserts have been excellent. On Tuesday's and Thursday's they offer a special for 2 people the 4-course ""sampler"" (which is more than enough food for one person) is only $20 a person! This sampler varies from night to night, but I can imagine you could call and ask what it is that evening. This place is very small, so make sure to make reservations ahead of time if you want to be guaranteed a seat. The ambiance is beautiful, with a real fireplace, and the bathrooms are very nice and clean. The food selection here is northern Italian, so it's a heavy based off seafoods. Last night our final course was Halibut and it was cooked perfectly. I don't know if I've ever had a better cooked piece of fish before, it was amazing. I also love that they list the farms where they receive their food from. This is a local restaurant that gets their food from local farmers! Check it out, if you go on a Tuesday/Thursday the prices are fabulous!
1424 Weir Dr
Bonfire is always consistent in serving great food and having awesome service. I wish every resturaunt treated their customers the way they do. No matter what location I go to, the food is always phenomenal. From the first time I went there, I was treated like I was the only one there even when it was really busy. At the end of my meal they took my food and boxed it up for me instead of bringing me a box!! Keep up the good work!
24.Cork's Irish Pub
175 10th St E
25.Chili's Grill & Bar
1800 Beam Ave
238 Snelling Ave S
I've been coming to Carmelo's for years and it is one of my favorite places to relax with a glass of wine and a truly delicious Italian meal. I was introduced to this place by a friend, who's family live in the neighborhood. Service has always been good, but I come for the cozy atmosphere. If you're looking for an authentic, sweet, romantic place to dine, you're in for a treat. You can't go wrong with their nightly specials, and we try to save a bit of room for their perfect tiramisu!
27.Copper Dome Restaurant
1333 Randolph Ave
I greatly enjoyed my experience at Copper Dome. It was my first time there. It was on a Wednesday morning around 10am, however, but the place was full. We were seated, serviced and fed in a reasonable amount of time. The almond syrup is my favorite! Pancakes were hot and fresh. The spinach, tomato, omelette with provolone cheese was excellent! Nice young waiter. Give it a try but I would suggest not on the weekends.
28.Gulden's 61 Restaurant & Bar
2999 Maplewood Dr
If you are looking for a restaurant where the owner truly appreciates you as a customer, you will LOVE this place. Mike is an owner that works just as hard as his staff, and once you meet him you will go back just to talk to him. He is truly committed to his guests. He have very loyal employees as well, which means he is doing something right. The Prime Rib is wonderful. Melts in your mouth. The value is unbelievable for the amount of food you get.
1818 Grand Ave
I used to go Grandview all the time when I lived in Minneapolis and I still go whenever I go home. I love the cajun and my husband loves the breakfast burritos. If I have enough room, I also get a kamakaze pancake. Unlike the other revies, I've never had a problem with the staff or the owner. I've been to this place twice or three times a month for four years and everyone who works there has always been friendly and treated us with respect. \r Be careful though, portion sizes are huge!!
