By far the best. They get the biggest names in the industry from London and Africa (Congolese drummers!). Obviously local talent is showcased as well.\r \r Drinks are cheap and strong. At the door, Davis is the coolest guy you'll ever see doing Sudoku religiously. at the bar, Davey is the coolest guy who will ever pour you drinks.\r \r The atmosphere is lively yet calm, dim but brilliant. Candlelight casts just enough luminosity on the unbelievable collection of jazz artwork adorning the walls.\r \r Tuesday night (AQuesday) is Hammond B3 Organ night and oh my god is it just delightful. Say what's up to my main guys Downtown Bill Brown, Bill Franzy, and Kenny Horst. Billy Holloman used to grace patrons with his divine presence before he opted for a more temperate climate.\r \r Best jazz club in the midwest outside Chicago. Hands down. Go. Now.

my best friend and i have been going to energy's 16+nights for a few years now and have yet to experience any thing bad. I have not wittnessed any violance there nore have i heard of any. it's small, but because of that (for some reason) it's more fun. the music and lights are awsome. it costs i think $9 to get in and there are no pat downs. the bouncers don't decide who gets in (anyone is welcome) in all, this is pry the best night club i've ever been 2

I love the atmosphere at the Turf Club, particularly the dim and gritty (dim-gritty) atmosphere in the subterranean Clown Lounge. The bartenders serve delightfully strong mixed drinks, which I like to call facemakers. I have only one criticism: I realize the Turf Club is a music club above all else. Alas, the music upstairs is sometimes painstakingly loud, which is only a problem on nights the Clown Lounge is not open, those unfortunately being off-nights when the band is not particularly compelling.

15.The Muddy Pig

I completely disagree with the previous statement regarding the service at the Muddy Pig. You should go to Applebees if you expect a waiter or bartender that will get down on one knee, ask you patronizingly about your son's little league team all while telling you how amazing the jalape?o poppers are. The Pig is the type of place that compels you linger around for a few hours and be comfortable, whether by yourself or with a group of friends. That said, I find the service at the Pig to strike the right balance, not too pushy nor too sparse. As for Daniel, he's a misanthrope and probably a Communist sympathizer but he does pour the best rye Manhattan in St. Paul, which in these times as they are, the value of which cannot be understated.........

I must say I have never been to a club where some of the dancers offer things for extra cash!! They had no problem kissing, and rubbing. Sisley was cute but drunk, and for 100.00 she come home with me..

I would give Rudy's Redeye Grill 5 stars any day of the week. It is hands down one of my favorite places to enjoy not just a meal, but an experience. The Chefs are very good at what they do. The food is consistently absolutely phenomenal. Service can make or break a dining experience. The service at Rudy's Redeye Grill is tops in my book; from the hostess to the bartenders and servers. It is apparent that Rudy's Management knows what it takes to keep customers coming back again and again. I'm hooked.

The previous poster Tbaker381 hates free-market capitalism. And god forbid the owner of Jensen's actually excercise his right to free speech! \r \r Now on to an actual review...\r \r The food here is AMAZING!!! Think old-school supper club... Relish tray, warm popovers, ordering your cut of meat or surf and turf and a side to share.\r \r This place has incredible food, is high on both the romance AND class scale and has martinis that are perfect.\r \r If you want a meal... and I mean a REAL MEAL in Minneapolis, you have GOT to try Jensen's.

I have a tendency to write a review when something was bad, but this experience was new and fun and I think Ingredients is DEFINITELY worth your time :)\r \r We went to Ingredients Cafe on recommendation from friends. Our group of five gathers about once per month to try ""new to us"" restaurants around the cities. My friends from White Bear are frequent guests at Ingredients & said we absolutely had to give it a shot. We usually tend to go to the ""downtowns"" and surrounding areas so I was a bit sketchy about trying a small place in the 'burbs'. I read many great reviews, but also saw one that wasn't so hot; so feeling a bit nervous about going on a weekend eve with live music, we gave it a try...and WOW, are we lucky we did. \r \r The place was packed with a fun bar crowd, a patio crowd and a small wait for a restaurant table. While waiting we were offered a small glass of wine to sip on while waiting and listening to the music, nice touch. Once seated, we had a super server who seemed to know everyone in the restaurant and made us feel part of the crowd. Meal was spectacular! One of my group has diet restrictions and the chef made every effort, and succeeded, in adjusting the meal for his needs. Can't talk enough about the mussels...mmmm!\r \r We decided to stay and listen to the music for a while after we finished the meal and asked if we should move to the bar to do so. The server told us we were totally welcome to stay where we were, and she would come and get us when a bar table was open and clean. Low and behold, ten minutes later, she came and brought us into the bar. We ended up staying until the music ended and the place closed, which we had ZERO expectation of doing. \r \r Obviously we went there on advice from friends, but we will ALL be back, sooner rather than later!

I have to laugh at some reviews. First of all Cooper's is a fun place. While I'll admit that some things may not be as good as they were, let's recognize what Cooper's is! It's a BAR people, and a fun one. It is not a gourmet restaurant, however if does have great burgers and lots of other good food items. As a married couple who has been to Cooper's a thousand times, I can tell you we always have fun. Yes my wife is attractive and has been intoxicated singing songs several times with Todd. D.J. Todd is a friendly guy and there has never been an issue concerning him. To the guy complaining about him hanging with his wife, maybe you are the problem. Is it a family place, not as much as it used to be. For us, we love going there because it is the most fun place in Eagan and we hope it stays around for a long time to come!.

The guy who bashed Sweeney's three times in a row to make it appear that he was more than one person was completely out of line. Sweeney's is great and doesn't cater to underage people nor does it need their business! It's one of the most successful bars in the twin cities for a reason.

Wings were excellent, beer cold and the soup is like Mom makes. You will enjoy this place if your coming to watch a concert at the Excel center or catching the Wild play a real plus it is across the street. Couches, tables or the bar you are surrounded by high def flat screens and music.\r \r If your looking for authentic St. Paul this is the place to go you won't be disappointed. I stopped in between sales calls and they had plugin and free internet for my lap top. \r \r I give it 5 out of 5.
