A/C stopped working- they were here within hours on a hot day and had it back up and running right away. I'd recommend cleaning the outside unit. I thought mine was clean by the outside appearance but apparently it was really dirty on the inside. So it was running inefficiently for a long time before a part finally broke. Now I'm on a maintenance plan that includes annual cleaning on the inside of the unit.

Where do I begin. I was referred to this company by my home warranty company and I have had nothing but problems since. I scheduled for them to come out and look at my Air Conditioner I told them they could come Saturday any time since I would be home all day I just needed communication on when in case I had to leave. They scheduled me for 9am -10am. I hadn't heard from the technician until 10am, when he said he would be there around noon, I let him know I would be home. I got to cleaning my house since and next thing I know it's 2pm. I called the technician to see where he was. He stated he was on his way and would be there soon. He arrived about 3pm. He changed the filter in the furnace. When I asked about the humidifier on the furnace he stated to me "don't worry about it, its an older unit. Call us in 6 months and we will come out and replace it". He then went outside and to check the Air Conditioner. He changed the fuses in the air conditioner, which he made me pay for out of pocket. After that I was still having an issue and needed a new thermostat. Fixed that and no problem. I called and spoke to the manager to stress that I was very unhappy with the service I received and I wanted a different technician to come out and look at the humidifier because I'm not paying my home warranty company again to come look at it when it should have been taken care of in the first visit. They sent a second tech who has been amazing since. He got the humidifier working and all was good. This all happened May 20th. Fast forward to this week ( 6/19-6/23). My air conditioner all the sudden was flipping breakers on my electrical panel. Then it started flipping the breaker on the whole house. turns out the original tech put the fuses in wrong. when the manager when notified of the problem I was told I was wrong and there isn't a wrong way to put a fuse in even when their tech told him that the original tech put the fuse in incorrectly! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE TERRIBLE!!

The sale person came late for his appointment that we set the week before. He was arrogant, bitter and difficult to ask questions. It was as if I have to beg for any information.I really think this guy should take a sales course before meeting another customer. Anyway, we are human and we go through different mood at each moment.

Terrible customer service. The older man who spoke to me was very rude and pushy. He does not have any manners. He needs to learn how to speak politely

I had called Total Comfort to help install my new furnace. They came out to provde me a quote. I did not move forward with them because of their high charges. As a result, they charged for coming out to just give me a quote. I have disputed this charge and they are still trying to collect. What type of business charges you when no work has actually been done. I would stay away from this business at all costs
Tips & Advices
You can keep your air conditioner running efficiently with some preventative care measures. Shut off the power to your AC before cleaning it or performing any of these tasks:  clean your filter at least twice a year; remove leaves and twigs from cages; clean the fins with a garden hose or special spray, then use a butter knife to straighten any that are crooked; keep your yard clean so the fins won't get blocked; cover the unit up for winter; and make sure it's level or you run the risk of damaging the inner workings of the unit.
To clean your air conditioner drain, first shut off the power to your unit at both the thermostat and the breaker. Then remove the drain pan. If the pan is full of water, soak up the liquid with a few towels or rags or use a wet vacuum. You can use a solution of water and distilled vinegar, or substitute peroxide for the vinegar, to clean out the drain pipe. Let the pipe sit for a while in the solution and then put all the parts back in place. Once you start using your air conditioner on a regular basis, check it periodically to ensure condensation isn't building up.
If you happen to live in a hot and humid area of the country, drainage problems can occur with your unit since moisture can trap itself inside the system. Routine maintenance can cut down on drainage issues by cleaning out any mold or algae from blocking the drain. If you notice moldy smells whenever you turn the thermostat down, check on your system.
If you notice your system is acting inconsistently, the sensor is most likely out of place. Turn off the unit and reach behind its control panel while carefully bending the sensor back into place near the evaporative coil.
Find out where the noises are coming from. A banging or clanking sound could be due to a loose part. If you hear a hissing sound, it's most likely because of a refrigerant leak and you should contact an HVAC technician as soon as possible.
