We love Kindred Hospital! Everyone was super nice and treated us like family. My dad was in Kindred for about 3 weeks. He needed respiratory, physical, occupational, and speech therapy after falling down a flight of stairs. Everyone was compassionate and took wonderful care of my dad. They rallied and cheered him on to get better. The receptionists were very friendly too and made us feel welcomed. My dad is moving to another rehab facility and I hope the care will be just as good. Kindred set the bar very high. With that said, I have to admit I was less impressed with the doctors. The pulmonologist (Dr. Omed) has zero bedside manners. He heard report from the respiratory therapist then he made eye contact with me from the hall and didn't even bother to come in to meet me or see my dad. I was not happy. Another doctor had zero bedside manners also. I think Kindred doctors need to take some bedside manner courses. They can take lessons from the nurses and therapist.

This is a great hospital. They took really good care of my wife. Her back surgery was top notch and the care was extremely good. She really liked her nurse who came from The Lutheran School of Nursing. I highly recommend.

I can't say enough positive things about this hospital and staff. They tended to my son with care and such great bedside manner. Thank you for everyone involved with my son and family!
My wife was sent to Barnes because of a sub-retinal lesion in her eye almost a year ago. We were taken back immediately, they ran a barrage of tests and all were explained in detail, both what they were doing and what the tests would show. They performed a newer treatment on her and rather than have to repeat it, the problem cleared up with little to no issue since. I, myself, will be looking into Barnes for their Burn unit in the near future. By the way, dil---Walgreens offer flu shots for $15, and if you have insurance it should cover that as well. That's how I got mine

The emergency room staff was very good but the admitting clerk was involved with personal issues than with patient's. After being admitting into the hospital. Being a diabetic and not having any food for over eight hours put my health at risk. The food service closes at 6:30 pm and only vending is available for patient's, visitor's, and staff. No back-up or "what if" plan for patient's like me or if a major accident. The nursing and supportive staff are friendly, highly professional, and caring. The food service is like room service in a hotel and the food is a high rate in my book and personalize serve my professional personel. When you go for a test the area's have light grills with clouds and tree limbs; makes the patient at ease. The T.V. channels are limited to local & cable channels, could increase channels for patients who are stuck in their room. Overall experience as apatient made my stay comfortable which allows my healing faster.

When I was placed in the ER, there was filled urinal in the sink and blood on the floor. My guess is from the previous occupant. With that being said the RN, Megan, and my Dr. more than made up for the filth in the room by the respect and courtesy shown towards me. They were both honest and direct. The experience of a trip to the ED is a crap shoot. It all depends on the team of nurses and the Dr. you see. In this case I couldnt ask for a better experience. But since this hospital is part of BJC I know that I am seeing some of the best hospital staff in the Midwest.
10.Hyland Behavioral Health System Of St Anthony's Medical Center

There is nothing Christian about this hospital and their lab facilities. They charge the insured 40 to 50% less than what they charge the uninsured or Christians in a health ministry. Avoid this hospital and their predatory pricing schemes.

This is hardly a Christian hospital. They charge the uninsured and Christians in a health ministry nearly double what is charged the insured. Avoid this hospital and their unholy pricing schemes.

DO NOT USE St. Luke's Urgent care in Kirkwood. Their poor billing practices cause the insurance company to not link the doctor to the center so you will get charged out of Network charges for an In Network Urgent care. I am telling everyone I know to not user this center. Boycott this center until their corrupt billing practices are terminated.
