Slick demo videos and slick talking customer service when you would like to return something. They send you a guitar with a notice on it to not open for 48 hours to allow temperatures to stabilize but you only only have a 48 hour approval period. Go figure.

I started guitar lessons after leaving my classical guitar sitting for 30 years... of course the strings broke. Joel at Go Music is fantastic! Very knowledgeable Very friendly. \r And the cost of the repairs... I don't think I could have found a better price if I had done it myself!\r \r Definately a place to go if you need work done or to purchase a used instrument!\r

i am absolutely terrible at the guitar and i needed help. So i went on the YP site and found Mark. You know how you are good at something and someone sucks and you get impatient, well Mark didn't do that at all. He helped me learn the power chords i was so happy i went home and showed the wife and she was even impressed. After not knowing any thing about playing i even held it wrong i am signing up for a lot more lessons thanks Mark if you read this. Sincerely Dan

Bearden Violin Shop was founded in St. Louis by P.C. Bearden in 1943 and established a fine reputation for restoration and violin making. In 1975, he was inducted into the International Society of Violin and Bow Makers and is a member of the Appraisers Association of America. He is now assisted by his son Gregory Bearden, graduate of the Chicago School of Violin Making, who now has over 20 yrs experience in repair, restorations and violin making. The absolute best place in St. Louis, and perhaps the entire country, to buy, repair or just talk saxophones. Knowledgeable staff, lots of inventory (new and used). And, no one in StL comes closed to their reeds prices.

Took my Les Paul Studio to Gravity Strings for a nut replacement and full setup. I thought it sounded good before, but when they were done with it it sounded incredible! I'll be taking my Partscaster in for a setup when I'm done with it. Friendly staff, too!

Fred Pierce's is the friendliest and most helpful drum shop in the St. Louis area. Their selection is terrific and their prices are competitve with the big chain and internet stores. \r \r I went there for the first time because I needed to replace a head and they were the only place who had one in stock. The head was the same price as ordering on the internet, plus while I was checking out Mr. Pierce and I chatted about my kit, micing my kit, and other things. I got some helpful information too. Since then, I have started replacing my cymbals and I will purchase all of them from Fred Pierce's Studio Drum Shop.

Having taken lessons before, then starting here (where I've been a long time now), I found the teaching to be really good, especially compared to someone Guitar Center hooked me up with. There are several instructors with different styles, very knowledgable sales people, and an owner deeply invested in music. Take lessons weekly and you can do free groups (acoustic and electric) and play live (youth and adult opportunities). Everyone there is invested in learning (even the most skilled) and accepting of wherever you are in developing as a musician. There is no pressure to buy the retail product, but when you do, you get lots of support, time to decide and very fair pricing. This is an old style guitar shop - a place to learn, play and love guitar (and bass) with musicians of all skill levels.
