Island Breezes Lawn Care
Be aware! This is not a good company. Island Breeze installed plants on top of large irrigation. They broke several irrigation pipes. I heard the guy talking about it but he never admitted it to me nor did they fix it.A manager will not come to the phone and they do not do what is promised. I had to spend a lot of money fixing what they broke. They also promised to do many things that they denied later for my lawn for bushes, weeds, trim Palm branches, mulch etc. They are even supposed to have professionals to lanscape new plant beds! The guys that did mine did not even know where to place anything. It was terrible! I had to have someone redo it because large plants were on top of small ones, etc. terrible job and I purchased so many plants from them to give the yard more curb appeal! They are horrible. In my area they are well known for being a terrible service. Stay away for your lawn and pocketbook!

Island Breezes Lawn Care
Very decent lawn care service! Hired them about a year ago to do the landscaping in my mothers yard and she was so happy with the job that I hired them again this year for maintenance and basic lawn care at my own house, couldn't be happier. Several of my neighbors and parents in Ponte Vedra use them as well. Florida is tough on my viburnums with the heat but they have somehow kept them thriving! The guys who come out are very well put-together and always friendly to me. I prefer reliable, quality care, and had had bad luck in the past with the quick-fix lawn care companies. Overall I am very happy with the Island service and plan to continue using them all year-round. :)

Clean Cuts of Saint Augustine
Clean Cuts is the best landscaping company I have ever delt with, hands down! I called to setup an estimate for mowing and mulch. They were able to give me the estimate for mowing immediately. The mulching they had to come out for the estimate. Not only did they show up on time, but they even sent a reminder email. They did a great job putting down the mulch and have been doing a great job mowing.

Island Breezes Lawn Care
They are horrible stay away from this company. They gave a price for landscaping and did not finish, they were going to add another 500.00 to the bill. They were supposed to trim bushes and weeds in beds, not once!! They charged us for weed control paper, but never put any down. They are crooks and liars!!!!

Island Breeze Lawn Care
Work Team expertise - initial job with onsite manager: 4Team expertise w/o onsite manager: 2; this is the norm. Office expertise: 1 (or zero if that was a choice). Team professionalism for being polite, courteous, & respectful: 4.Office professionalism: 1 or zero if that was a choice. Team Promptness: based on 2 visits & initial interview: 4. Office promptness: 1. This is a high priced lawn maintenance company hired for full service. The monthly rate is about double the std. rate for this area. I anticipated & hoped for a highly skilled team. Major concerns: (1) work team w/o manager doesn't have the expertise. (2) The office person is intermediary on all issues and has been unfailingly rude, abrupt, insulting & unprofessional. I terminated service following a shockingly inappropriate reply to my concern with the partial-month invoice; it was over the agreement amount. I do not recommend this company despite a hard-working and dedicated team manager.
Tips & Advices
Irrigation system advantages:
  • Lowers water bill and maintenance time with scheduled watering
  • Evenly distributes water
Irrigation system disadvantages:
  • Professionally installed systems cost between $3,000-$4,000 for a quarter-acre lot.
  • Some do-it-yourself systems cost up to $1,500 but are difficult to install.
  • You may need to call a professional electrician and plumber, adding $300-$600 to your project.
Some plants can stand up to the cold weather, like kale or pansies. These can be planted in the autumn or early winter. Other plants need to wait until the soil is warm and ready. Plant perennial flowers in mid-autumn or mid-spring. If you're planting from seed or sprout, you can generally find information about planting conditions on the package.
Why get artificial grass?
  • Cuts down on lawn maintenance
  • It's environmentally friendly since there‚Äôs no need to water.
  • Artificial grasses may be more attractive than real grass in drought-stricken areas.
Why stick to the real deal?
  • Artificial grass has a high upfront cost - $15 to $20 per square foot.
  • It can be difficult to install.
  • Inexpensive options might look unnatural.
  • It gets hot in the sun.
First, determine which pests you're dealing with. Mounds or tunnels indicate moles or voles. Apply castor oil to your lawn; they'll find another digging spot. Determine which bugs you have by pouring a bucket of soapy water onto the lawn. The bugs will surface so you can identify them. Milky spore and nematodes keep grubs and other bugs at bay. Insecticidal soap also works. The best way to prevent pests is with good yard maintenance. Certain bugs prefer overwatered lawns or yards with thatches. Regular mowing, watering, and dethatching discourage pests from moving in.
Fertilizer isn't always necessary, but it can keep your lawn looking lush and healthy. Use fertilizer with slow release nitrogen so it doesn't encourage weeds to grow. Keep in mind that overfertilizing can spur weed growth. However, under-fertilizing can result in weak grass, which gives weeds more space to take root.
